Wandering slave trader hits pretty hard, if I could fix the ctds lol

Agreed, I am already doing it. You can give the unofficial patch from my previous post a try until Carnalitas is officially released.

An official update is not yet available, but you can download an unofficial patch here.

I take it the unofficial patch has not resolve the UI issue? I just gave it a go and so far the result is the same.

It was actually fun for a while; I updated my playset and now it says I need to be landed to buy slaves. I played myself 💀

This shouldn't be the case, if you also use CSR, which has also been updated.

@viogob @sagimine1 @3125Balaur As mentioned earlier, I am unable to reproduce the issue with missing relationships portraits. Everything just works fine on my side, and judging from replies from the Discord forum I am not the only one. So my assumption still is that the issue is caused by another mod or by a corrupted game.

And putting other UI mods on top of course make you lose all Carnalitas changes - milk productions, slaves, expandable relationships, etc.

Definitely not another mod, tried it with clean modlist. Will check files integrity just in case.

Buy CK3 base edition on some site (Eneba personal favorite) and you are free to download any mod. Doing this myself.

Dumb question, I have not been playing for long time and I'm now trying to get my mods back on track. I have loaded and placed Pharaox 2.7 zev.zip last in mod order (game recognize mod all right). However, there isn't Carnalitas specific game rules to pick anymore? The rule choices came from this mod or am I missing some undermods?
Thanks in advance.

There was no official announcement in this thread, but it seems like the new official 2.7 version of Carnalitas has been released some hours ago.

Yes, it's released, so please use it (version 2.7.1 as 2.7 had some minor issues). It's basically my unofficial patch + very few other changes that were added meanwhile.

They should be there. If you don't see them, something is wrong on your side, most likely Carnalitas is not loaded correctly. Please use the latest version 2.7.1 that was released a few hours ago.

Hello, denizens of the underworld.

First of all, thanks to whoever keeps this mod running. For lack of a better word, you are the bee's knees.

Second of all, ever since the new update dropped, I have been unable to get it to work, unofficial patch and latest version included. Every time the game booted, carnalitas and associate mods were a no-go, and I was left as confused as John Travolta in 1994 cult classic Pulp Fiction, despite the launcher saying there was nothing wrong. And I being no fool and having being able to getting this to work before.

However, I have finally pinpointed the problem.

If you open the mod with a text editor, it has one line that goes: "path="mod/Carnalitas"

However, as soon as one opens the paradox launcher on steam to launch the game proper, this line, for whatever ungodly reason, overwrites to what the launcher presumes to be the full path: "path="C:/Users/Usuário/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod/Carnalitas"

Turns out, my windows is not installed in english. And the launcher is unable to correctly reproduce the word Usuário. It turns into the gobbled mess Usuário and keeps shit from correctly loading. It does the same to all the mods not loaded directly through the steam workshop. In short, for lack of a better word, it fucks everything up.

Here is my solution. Open the launcher. Let it fuck everything up. And then copy and paste a backup to overwrite the files back to normal.

It works for me. Everything is working now.

Cheers!

i used the temporary 2.7 version without problems, but since i downloaded the latest (2.7.1) i keep getting lagspikes, ctd's and the moving people in event popups are like speeded up 50 times.

i think i'dd better revert to 2.7 for now.

Here's an alternative to avoid having to copy & paste every time you start CK3.

1. Copy/move the Carnalitas folder to a place that have a path that doesn't cause problems. For example:

C:/Local_Documents/CK3_mod/Carnalitas

2. Keep the .mod file where it is in the CK3 mod folder. Just edit it to use the new path above, as in replacing "path="mod/Carnalitas" with

path="C:/Local_Documents/CK3_mod/Carnalitas" (if that is where you moved the Carnalitas folder to).

There is really nothing in 2.7.1 compared to 2.7 (or to the unofficial patch available before that) to cause issues like this. The code in all 3 is largely the same, with cosmetic differences related to the 2 Carnalitas decisions. You issues are likely caused by something else.
