Sadly I do not know at what point they stopped working with the mod, due to having formatted the 2080ti PC soon after updating RTBP and replacing the GUI with Commander and installing it from scratch on the 1060 one. The log detects the game and expansion packs correctly, writes the file correctly. I run Windows 10 in Spanish but the file path is clear of weird characters. Keep up the great work! I have an update, even if it's not deeply informative it clears my previous posts a bit: The Commander actually modifies my running game and I can save the new settings. The other problems persist though: Commander does not get the current settings and overrides them with the defaults when I open it, so if I want to readjust something I have to redo all the previous settings before I can experiment and save them. Maybe the overwriting is why I thought it was not working at all. Once saved my custom settings are being loaded to the game, yet the Commander will still ignore them when I open it up. It's not a super serious error and you can probably ignore it. For some reason, the RTBP Mod is having trouble connecting to the RTBP simulation server. In the next preview release of RTBP, this situation will be dealt with more gracefully.

CPVC Posted July 9, 2021 Author Posted July 9, 2021 (edited) Hi there, I have a preview, preview release available for anyone brave enough to try it. As far as I can tell, I've fixed most of the issues people brought up. When installing, replace the DLL and the "RTBP Mod" folder in your mods folder. If I get enough positive feedback, I'll make this the official preview release. Thanks for your help. Changelog (RTBP 0.4-p1): * Tightened up the vertex selection so that the wrong vertices are targeted less often than before. * Added support for all (I think... I may have missed a couple) custom meshes that people requested. In my experience it seems to work pretty well, but I've only really tested it in CAS. * Added command, "ping". All it does is respond with "pong". It's just a simple little command to test if RTBP is correctly recieving commands. * Added command, "printLog", which simply prints the log in the command output. * Added command, "listSimulatorTargets" which lists all valid simulator targets. All the "set*" commands should recognize these targets. * Added other various commands not worth mentionioning for debugging purposes. They may be removed in the future. * The centers of mass for breasts and butts are now automatically calculated. This might not be the best way to do this, so please let me know what you think. * Added new simulator targets. You can now target body parts by side and gender. For example, to change the mass of the left female butt to 10, enter the command "setMass lfbutt 10". * Fixed the bugs in the RTBP Integration Mod. Hopefully it won't be throwing anymore exceptions. * Some other things I may have forgotten. RTBP v0.4-p1 2021-07-08.zip Edited July 9, 2021 by CPVC BBCode syntax error. 2

Well, it literally tampers with the Sims 4 and I made no attempt at hiding it. Denuvo may be preventing the game from running because it detects that RTBP is tricking the game to do stuff the developers never intended. I'll do some research and see if there's any way to bypass Denuvo. Edited July 10, 2021 by CPVC

Native support for RTBP is not supported at this time for Mac and most likely never will be. There is, however, a way to run Windows programs on Mac. I've never tried running this software on a Mac, and I don't know how well it works on that platform, but there is a program called Wine that creates an artificial Windows environment on Unix-like operating systems. Wine works great on Linux and it's how I play the Sims 4 on my preferred operating system. 1

NOTmew Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Hi! As soon as I load in to live mode, the game crashes. I've tried reinstalling 3x, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Here is my log! Could you help? Log.txt
CPVC Posted July 15, 2021 Author Posted July 15, 2021 Eureka! I've just figured out how to get RTBP to work on Intel GPUs! Go to your game installation directory + "/Game/Bin/" (the same place you put "d3d9.dll"), and open the file "GraphicsRules.sgr". Find the line that says "setProp $ConfigGroup EnableSoftwareSkinning true" (for me it was on line 117) and replace the part that says "true" to "false". This will enable hardware skinning and allow RTBP to work. You may experience a performance penalty. I doubt Maxis would do skinning in software if it wasn't at least slightly faster on Intel hardware. My theory was correct. When the Sims 4 detects an Intel GPU, it does its skinning in software. I discovered that under Intel hardware, the vertices were a little different. The blending information was missing from the vertex declaration, so software skinning was the most likely explanation. On CPUs with integrated GPUs, the CPU has direct access to the GPU's memory, so this was probably an optimization they put in specifically for Intel GPUs. 5
