If you don't already have a good image editor, "GIMP" is a good free full-featured image editor (though I don't use it personally.)

I split my work across three different editors based upon my needs.

 

My primary image editor is an ancient copy of "Paint Shop Pro 6" (pre-Corel) that I know intimately to do almost anything (but it does not support transparent PNGs or JP2.)

 

For fancy text effects and transparent png's, I use Macromedia's "Fireworks-8" (pre-Adobe)... also extremely old (20 years?) yet extremely powerful. Because those two are so old/discontinued, you can usually find them for download somewhere.

 

For more advanced stuff, one must use PhotoShop. It's the only one (of the three) that supports both transparent PNGs & transparent JP2's, plus DDS files (via a free plugin from Intel.)

 

Of the three programs, if I could only have one, I'd use Fireworks-8. But all three support just about every "PhotoShop compatible" filter plugin there is.

 

I could probably do all this using GIMP, but I'm not a fan of its way of doing things. I find some basic tasks too complicated.

Don't know if it's a bug, but the importer doesn't find entire folders at times and I keep losing skins and outfits.

Wondering if anybody can help me here

I have fresh installed this after getting angry and even accidently removing User Files?... lost a lot of stuff but a fresh install might be good.

anyway why i did it in the first place is because for some the Hairworks dont seem to stick to the head of the models.

if you can point me in the right direction or know a fix please let me know.

I'm not 100% positive it's your issue, but I had the same thing happen and the cause was my Addons #000.UniversalVXHairworksReplacer zip file had become corrupted. Once I replaced it with a fresh copy all the hairs showed correctly.

I Have same issue right now.

only on certain skins.

if anyone has an idea.

i also noticed these skins cannot get sweaty which is kinda a pb.
