Baltasarr80 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Hi there, I rescued the people from concord and escorted them to sanctuary. After i got over the bridge from sanctuary Preston and myself begin the dialogue and after my backstory how i woke up in the vault there is no continuation of the dialogue ... we are stuck in this conversation. If i go a few steps away he moves again but then as soon as i get close again it happens again. Does someone has an idea?
spoonsinger Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Are you sure you are giving it enough tine? In my game they generally stare at each other for ages before Mr G starts rambling again. (Sort of unjustified loving eyes look - play female, so male might be different). I don't touch nofink during that time.

casma164 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Soo, just last night I started a new playthru to test the script memory mod. And in the 4+ years I've owned this game, this was the first time I encountered this bug. Usually, there is a slight lag of 3ish seconds before the dialogue continues but not this time. Well, I restart another new game, and the museum of freedom quest is bugged hard. When walking thru the displays, the automatic audio that normally plays doesn't and certain raiders don't spawn, thus preventing the door from opening. I managed to get the raiders to spawn, killed them and continued the quest(got the PA, went outside) but no raiders/deathclaw spawned. At this point I gave up. I disabled all of my recent mods and started a new game but this never fixed the museum quest. Has anyone ever solved this particular issues w/o console commands? Reading the forums, it seems like there's issues further along the minuteman questline when using the console to skip stuff. Well, managed to get it working correctly. Started a new playthru with even more mods disabled which I've been using a lot longer then my last playthru. Disabled OaR, Depravity, Diary of a Madman, AAF, ILER, Atomic Lust, We are the Minuteman, Nuka world reborn, SS, a leaders pack, TPFPA, player comment and head tracking. One of these mods stopped the glitch from happening.

Do you have Workshop Framework installed? if so there is a patch for the Preston dialog bug : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35004?tab=files Third download down. But Do check your mods in FO4Edit to see if there are any conflict's first other then that use the Console Commands or Restart Fresh.

The only time I problems with with the first quest was when I installed a mod that extended the museum of freedom, the other time was the castle quest which made me go with the Brotherhood.
D_ManXX2 Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 this is the exact problems i had previously the only way i got past that is use a mod called skkfast minuteman and just the skip to be a general after that everything was back to normal dont know witch mod caused it, but this was the only way i got passed that back. SKK Faststart minuteman. btw this problem started after i updated any of simsettlement mod. so you could see witch one caused it.
