I have precious few ESP slots left - just one, in fact - and last I checked DD requires full ESP slots instead of ESL. None of the mods in my load order are things I'm willing to sacrifice for a SS outcome. I already have PW and Radiant Prostitution, but would like more variety... I considered Naked Defeat but I already have Sexlab Defeat and it works quite well... It's a shame that there are no hooks for the BaboDialogue and Troubles of Heroine situations (which CAN result in you being enslaved, if memory serves).

Public Whore, Slaves of Tamriel, Things in the Dark do not require DD. It may be just optional with some of the others, not sure.

The annoying thing is the ZAZ devices are perfectly serviceable and actually make sense in the setting, but almost nobody uses them. It always has to be modern stuff which is horrendously out of place in Skyrim (does latex even exist in TES lore? I suppose you could make up some weird stuff about the Numidium and a Dragon Break, but that feels like a cop out...).

Tuppence worth on that, if I may The reason that such ZAZ development as did take place failed to win me over from DD - despite ZAZ's huge array of interesting devices and restraints, and the never ending 'private' development which showed absolutely no sign of any viable release to the user community - was ZAZ's lack of really 'lockable' restraints. (Please note that I intend no disservice to @Musje on that, as she did produce code for 'lockables', which I did try and it did actually work - it just never went anywhere subsequently) But If I want a real challenge in beating the bad guys, the panoply of the abundant cornucopia of enemies, and all the other exigiencies involved in battling through a hostile Skyrim environment, to finish up with the corresponding satisfaction of ultimately having 'won' (at least up the point at which the game let's go, screams 'No More!', and crashes for a final time), I'd go for DD any day. As opposed to ZAZ items in which, at best - whilst they were really innovative in their day - one can now basically only prance about looking pretty That may be a more 'raw' criticism than is merited, but I want a challenge, not an artwork. There was enough interest in removing the ZAP dependence that I made a non-ZAP version of SS++ available for those who want it. Neither version requires DD, of course (though most of the outcome mods do). I'm not partial to latex or gas masks in my Skyrim, but a lot of mods that use DD are configurable enough that I can just exclude the things that I don't care for. 1

DQW That's fair. I guess I'm one of those who just want the bare minimum. I'm not looking to kill a dragon while dressed like a stereotypical gimp, bound and gagged, I just want to be able to be occasionally put in light restraints/put others in light restraints for some RPing. 65535 variations on ball gags, arm binders and the like are overkill for that purpose, and kind of kill immersion due to how they look, too. DD IS a good mod, don't get me wrong - but it frankly looks more at home in Fallout 4 than it does in Skyrim. That's just my $0.02, of course. Your mileage may vary. But it's pretty frustrating that nearly every possible SS++ mod has DD as its hard requirement. It would be one thing if DD was an ESL/ESPFE, but last I checked it's not (too many records), and my ESP/ESM space is at a premium (only one slot left), especially when I already have ZAZ installed. 1

DD actually needs 4 esp slots, for downward compatibility. DD should have been more than one mod. I suggested this to Tara way back when. One mod with devices that Tara could have taken over with her fantastic ability of creation and another control mod with the scripting which Tara was not capable. It ended up with Tara hijacking the mod and it not being developed except for her new devices. This held back the community in a large fashion because a lot of mods depended on it. Even the updated version is no good on SE and its to complex for Cathedral to convert. A cluster fuck to say the least. 2

Unforgiving devices Dd equip (the one from captured dreams) And i think a few others I can't speak for all of them, but I know DDe is texture sets applied to the same meshes that the framework devices use and the devious dwarven cuirass (which has blanket permission granted in its file page). If you want to create a personal-use mod that adds devious devices using the meshes from ZAZ, it's fairly trivial once you understand a) how to make an armor mod and b) how devious devices are different from amors.

I'd love to. But i find ssedit so horrendous. I dont understand how people get used to it. So apparently you need to create 2 records inside ssedit FOR EACH ITEM you want to add. And it looks like you can't bulk import a file, you have to do them 1 by 1. Finally because its skyrim, you need to create an esp somewhere to register 1 modification. Correct? That would interfere with the way things work. You have to be inside the pen to start the auction, and the auction assumes that you're on the platform. Expressing an interest in the cross just affects the auctioneer's commentary. 1

That part would be easy enough to do but you would just be hanging there with nothing happening unless Hex went to the trouble of adding a bunch of stuff to make it its own event, like other auctions and/or people coming up and making comments or poking you. That's a lot of extra bloat for something meant to be as simple and small as possible. Up to hex, of course, but the juice wouldn't be worth the squeeze, imo.

When Mistress puts you in bondage furniture, it will attract a crowd that'll comment on your situation.

I was experiencing the same problem after installing FuzMOD, so I was puzzled, but it seems that the cause was a bug with FuzMOD itself. I'm using the SE version (1.5.97) and had installed version 1.7, which is said to be compatible with the SE version, but FuzMOD wasn't recognized and didn't work. In my case, I followed the FuzMOD topic and changed from version 1.7 to version 2.3, which allowed FuzMOD to be recognized correctly and the auction event to proceed, so I'm reporting that here. I hope this helps anyone else who encounters a similar problem. 1

The first one is the loud bang that is heard when you wake up at the auction house, which is quite unimmersive. What is it supposed to simulate? There is no bomb going off there. I've never understood it and I start wondering if a bug in the havok engine caused it, because it's a louder version of the sound that clashing objects make. This might just be my opinion but at least think about it. The second one is a bit more serious. Sometimes when you spawn you bring enemies with you that you weren't even in combat with. I was defeated by bandits and spawned spriggens in the middle of the auction house, causing gamebreaking chaos.

The problem with enemies spawning in the auction house is a problem with your defeat mod. Please ask there for troubleshooting. They really should end all fighting after you're defeated and sent to this mod's event handler. 2

Can confirm: there have never been bangs at any point in SS unless you count the hairstyles of some of the customers. I would not have known how to add such a thing, back in the day, and i am quite certain neither of my predecessors added one. 2
