I installed sexlab couple days ago, i have all the required SL Framework, SKYUI, XPMS, FNIS, ZaZanimation... and everything made sure they are for SSE, and doing as all those instruction told me to(I run FNIS everytime I install a mod), but just can't get the in game animation to work. I've tried some SL mods like "follow me for sex", "Road Inspection"and the dialogue only shows "..." then the character just stack up on each other and froze, then I tried the osex mod which turn out to be the same, character stack up on each others and theres no animation at all.

Since you have no additional animations installed (your FNIS report does not report any) to use it, you must approach the chosen partner, press the key N, open MCM> SexLab> Animation editor and
  after selecting the desired animation, click on Start and close the menu, after a few seconds the animation starts

It is not part of SexLab, it works with the OSA mod

It works like SexLab, it must be activated in the MCM menu

There's no animation at all, the character stack together and just frozen

it sound like MCM configurations and settings !

 

can you provide your Load Order . also what Mod Manager are you using (MO , Vortex ) . are you using animation loader .

I'm really new to modding, and I use mainly Vortex since its more beginner friendly less complex. I also use MO2 for some mods on skyrim se.

Ok but which one is it, Vortex or MO2? OSex or Sexlab? In MO you have 4 warnings and a lot of unmanaged mods, which is very far from being a good thing. Most likely both Vortex and MO have issues because you have mod files in your actual Data folder.

 

Seriously, pick one. Learn, read and install.

driving 2 cars  one on top of the other with the same engine !  why make simple when we can make complicate !

 

choose one mo / vortex    they have both adepts that can help you installing mods and fix issues .

 

when you are done with one you can start over with the other or make a second game with an other profile with different mods .

 

what is sure is that this is definitively not a MCM configuration issue .

So if I have to pick one and use only one, then should I reinstall all the mods there?

Yes, and if you really want things to work you should start with a clean copy of the game (uninstall, delete all remaining folders and install again through Steam). Otherwise even if you start again with one mod manager you might have issues because of lingering files from your previous attempts.

Can I keep my saves?

You can try. If you get to a point where the saves load, you can try to clean them with Fallrim Tools, because you'll have a lot of removed/changed mods in these saves.

I'm just going to guess you do not have a "clean" deploy.

 

Animations are the easier thing to fix when it comes to skyrim because they're pretty independent.  I'm sure everyone who's modded or used a mod is familiar with the "stick-man" crap where you running around looking like a floating mannequin? All that is is a missing running/walking animation. 

 

Animations ares all about getting the fnis scripts right and little to do with a clean save game,etc... SO, No need to uninstall... Just do a clean install and deploy.

 

What's happening is just unregistered animations - SL and other "scene-type" animation mods like to unlock the camera and take away player ui control at the start of an animation sequence - usually resulting in "you're stuck" when they do not play through and return control.

 

Remember the install order is not the load order when it comes to mods... load order refers to the order of esm, esl and esp files when the game loads - the install order is the order of installation and often "overlay" in the data directories themselves - that includes animation files. i.e. I can have a mod installs  animations followed by another mod which replace some of those animations and the esm's and esp's do not have to reflect that order. 

 

Anyway back to trouble-shooting ... I do not see any sl animations in your fnis parsing list (maybe further up  in the log?  I do see your ZAZ though.

You've very few animations compared to me - I still do not use FNIS XXL due to it's still buggy in my experience, I just use the standard which supports up to 10k animations. But that's besides the point...

 

In the game... on the McM SL has a "register" SL-loader is a god-send - you can see how many (counts) animations SL has registered through it - including those you've registered via ZAZ  ... OSEX and SL are totally independent if you use both or either...

 

Vortex is a bitch to create a real load order and sometimes even an install order in due the quirky interface they use with those icons,  when you want to place in a "user-rule".... this before that and this after that, etc... if the categories cross and the names are far apart drang and drop ordering does not work well, and conflicts do not always encompass "file replacement", plus the deploy notices disappear - so if you're not watching  well...

 

I use Vortex myself, well of course are so many mods on nexus.

 

Here's the way I do things though, which I have to admit is convoluted ... 

 

1. I use an old Skyrim SE ModManager.exe - I dislike because it does not see esl's... but it holds my load order in a simple list (the manifest), besides I'm quite picky about sequences. (and keep it open)

 

2. I used BASH SE to turn those damn esl's that Skyrim SE ModManager.exe disabled back on.  It shows me a lot more information about what mods are dependent upon what and usually I can tweak my load order in the ModManger a lot easier to my liking and performance (but I keep this open too)

 

3. I launch Vortex to add/remove my mods - I arrange the install orders here but not the load orders - as I stated they've a terrible interface to do that. So Vortex does my deploy/redeploy, and I even have it invoke fnis... when all done I go back to the open modmanger... 

 

4. I save the load order (which will look like it did  prior to the deploy), I reload,turn on and move up the new esp's to where I want them in the load-order, then exist it.

 

5. I look at Bash SE turn the damn esl's back on and look for anything off-base. Then exit it.

 

 

I've 232 mods in my game - some are just messhes, etc... so not reliant on an esm or esp.... In the end this is my load order:

But not my install order. I will constantly do a mix and match so I've some things like an npc from one mod and another from some other mod (that comes with knowing what's replacing what.)

 

Another good tool to have is LOOT and of course SEEDIT, I also have CK in-case I want to change something minor in a mod for my own taste...

All this is by-the-by. The OP has obviously done little or no reading on how to mod Skyrim and until they do all this is pointless.

 

Vortex is showing missing masters.

Thanks for the help guys, I actually had no problem with animation at all. It was a mod I installed called "follow me for sex", it turned out animation is working fine, but my dialogue options are only showing "..."
