Although, I have never come across a knapsack when trying to resolve this quest. At least I know what to look for now.
cerebus300 Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 I've come across the event again where my follower has stashed my stuff somewhere in the wild and I have spent way too much time looking for it. NOTHING. I had to go back and reload a prior save to skip it, but then I can't sleep until I get somewhere because it will always activate.  I like the concept of this event, but it is just waaaaaay too hard. I have yet to be able to find my stuff and every time I waste a bunch of time crawling over every inch of the area and I just can't find anything. Either it is hiding it way too well, or putting it somewhere stupidly far away that I would never actually look at, or it is bugged and it isn't putting my stuff anywhere. I have no idea how to make this be not so difficult, because I don't have any idea how it is programmed and why it is so impossible to solve. Maybe reduce the range that item is placed at. Maybe make it a bit more visible so it isn't so hard to see. I wonder if I have wandered right over it several times because it is blending into the dirt.  This one needs to get a tweek.

I love that it's not that "kinky" with the humiliation which ironically makes it more hotter lol. It's probably the nonchalance in which the follower plays with you. There's a smug or arrogant vibe to them that they don't need to call you names which makes it even hotter lol.  Though it gets a bit... buggy at times, like say with the Stripping event when you sleep outdoors. If you find the knapsack yourself or persuade the follower to lead you to the knapsack it doesn't get registered as completed in the quest logs. Probably a minor one but since I'm pretty anal in keeping my quest log clear, it does kinda bug me. Is it just script lag? Should I wait a few more minutes for it to register?  There's also the Puppy game. There doesn't seem to be a time limit no matter how high or low I set it in the MCM since my follower still doesn't ever let me remove the collar, and it's been days (in-game). At this point, I decided to just unequip the collar and then ignored it ever since.  EDIT: Honestly, I don't know what went wrong but the stripping event when sleeping outside stopped spawning the knapsack. I use to be able to find it or my follower would lead me to it. But now whenever they do, the place where it's supposed shows nothing, no knapsack. I even toggled the grass in console command to help looking for it and used freecam to look if it's under the ground or something. Nada.  Edited July 22, 2024 by DatBaraGuy

I have never been able to get JFDD's pet collar event to start at all... But if you mean the "puppy collar" event (the one that makes you crawl around), it seems like that has been a problem for a very, very long time, and the mod author is focused on other projects. I think this mod is more or less abandoned. The issue is that the duration setting in the MCM says it is for hours, but it is actually days. The mod will find a random number between 4 and the max time you have set, and then set that as the days that the quest will last. The mod author has said previously that this is fixed, but it is not.  Here is a patch that changes the duration to hours (as the MCM setting describes) instead of days (what it actually does).  As for stopping the quest yourself, you can open the console (use the "~" key by default), and type:  setstage jf_puppy 95 setstage jf_puppy 99  and then talk to your follower. Or if the follower is gone or something, you can use:  completequest jf_puppy  Installing the patch I've included here won't change the quest if it is currently running, but it will change it for next time.   Here is what I changed, if anyone is interested... in JFTimerScript.psc, at line 16:  gametime = Utility.RandomFloat(4.0, MaxGameTime.Value)  was changed to:  gametime = Utility.RandomFloat(4.0, MaxGameTime.Value) * 0.0417  joyful followers patch (2025-01-01).7z

Like some have said, I jumped through hoops searching for napsack, inbetween bandit and dragon attacks, she kept stopping for a bit of mining, then mostly was wondering back and forwards. The dialogue options left me feeling she was going to lead me to my stuff, eventually quest failed, the only acknowledgement is when I try to pay her, she says I'm silly as I dont have any money. and thats it. I am going to so torture her, in very bad ways, might have to install MNC to get really medievil on her ass.  Do I really have to reload a previous save?? quest items, books notes etc gone. Kinda lost the will to live radious sweeping from sleep location.

Except for earlier the affection level was suddenly at negative integer limit. Are there any specific events I need to do to get it to increase or does it simply increase over time. MCM is showing only few options (reading this comment section makes me think that there are more options) but i was able to set affection to level 4, but i just can trigger the event in the inn (drinking contest) and the one where you have to sleep in the wild (the follower hides your clothes), anyway there seems there are some bugs: in the drinking contest nothing happens if i give up (is it ok?), in the event in the wilds my follower asks me to get on my knees and bark but nothing happens if i accept (no animations, it just stops) and if i get a pet collar no animation triggers, i can walk normally (i ran pandora, did not forget). Other events just won't trigger at all, tried many times. Then i noticed i cannot gain severity, if i hit my follower she just get dismissed after taking 4 hits. I cannot gain affection or severity, i just set the affection level in MCM. What can i do? What i did wrong? Can someone help me? Ps: i use UFO (ultimate follower overhaul) no one says there is conflict so i don't know Edit: also when i enter a dungeon and follower asks if i accept the challenge to not use weapons or magic, i accept, she tries to use a spell on me but immediately cancels the animation and nothing happens.
