RitualClarity Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 @terrorofmorrowind Look in my sig and follow the link to Bruce Waynes Sexout tutorial. It will help you along with the major setup. Then if you use SCR use my tutorial to get the Resource Folder for SCR set up and you should be good to go.
Miarc007 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I'm having the same problem: The NVSE loader (nvse_3_beta2) is in the New vegas folder and I install the NVSE extender (NVSE Extender v12b2). I've tracked it to make sure it's installed as was explained NVSE extender goes in Data>NVSE>Plugins and it's these files that end up there; nvse_extender.dll and nvse_extender_ng.dll. an MCM file is already in the folder when I've installed. But when I run the game (Via NVSE loader) when I start a game I get the; "Sexout requires NVSE extender V11 but you have V0" From what I've down I've followed the instruction to install. After a little While a found came across the answer: I was using nvse_3_beta2 there's a later version nvse_4_2_beta3. I installed this in the Fallour new Vegas folder and ran the NVSE loader and it worked! So Double check which of the NVSE version you have!
darkshot64 Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 You did download NVSE 4.2 and NVSE Extender v12 Beta right? AND installed them properly? I think this may be the reason people are having so many problems. Because it was certainly the reason I was having a problem. You said to use version NVSE 4.2, meanwhile on the download page it says to use NVSE 3 beta 2.
RitualClarity Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 So people having problems using the wrong version of NVSE is due to one link, despite the following pages stating otherwise. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16277-sexoutng-framework-installation-guide-for-beginners/ http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/553-nvse-extender-aka-nx/ http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/414-tutorial-installation-of-sexout-common-resources-scr/ http://www.loverslab.com/topic/7727-sexout-faq-read-this-to-get-started/ http://www.loverslab.com/topic/3322-how-to-install-sexout-installation-guide-for-advanced-users/ Yes sexout downloads page states NVSEv3beta 2. However afterwards it states "or newer"
prideslayer Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 You did download NVSE 4.2 and NVSE Extender v12 Beta right? You said to use version NVSE 4.2, meanwhile on the download page it says to use NVSE 3 beta 2. The NVSE Extender download page says that it requires 4.2beta2 or newer. The version is in yellow and there's a huge red NOTICE right above it. Sexout itself only requires NX version 11 (no longer available), and NX version 11 only required NVSE 3. We are up to NX version 12 now, which requires NVSE 4. I can certainly change Sexout to say it also requires NVSE 4, but it doesn't. :/
DoctaSax Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Put in a single line in there that uses "let" and it will!
RitualClarity Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Opps, I forgot a page. .. perhaps the most important page in my list of pages that state or advise you to use 4.2. my bad...
scottkorchenko Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 When i try to download using the link, it downloads as a .gz, with no .dll files in it, i cant find them anywhere...
Odessa Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 You downloaded the source code, not the usable plugin. Unless you know C++, its not going to be very useful for you. The link you want is the green 'Download' in the top right corner: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/553-nvse-extender-aka-nx/ Its a FOMOD you can install with FOMM.
Miarc007 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 For some reason I can't get the Extender v12b2 to register in the game or the loading screen Icon. I have the lastest NVSE installed correctly (that registers version 4_2_beta3) I also have Darn UI installed and MCM both load correctly. for some reason I can't get the further extedner to work! I've tried it manually as well! The file path is thus: Program files > steam >steamApps>Common> fallout New Vegas > Data > NVSE > plugins and the two files are nvse_extender.dll and nvse_extender_ng.dll they should be in the right place. At one point I had a stutter fix in place and the files slotted into plugins (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34832/?) I'm not sure if this did anything but I took it off after. the only things in the plugins folder now are: MCM.dll nvse_extender.dll nvse_extender_ng.dll and a folder called Extender and that contains 'savedata.db' and a folder called 'Saves' which seems to hold lots of saved files. any idea on why it won't register the extender?
RitualClarity Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 What do you mean register? I don't believe you should see anything with extender if memory serves me correctly. Everything looks find from what I remember. Even the saves files. You should be able to go in game and use a mod to have sex. You could test with Sexkey If yo u are able to have sex you should be good to go.
Miarc007 Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 The icon that pop up in the corner when Darn and NVSE is installed. when hovering over it, it will show the two are installed. when the extender was installed (at one time during a previous game re-intsall) it showed up with an extra line about the 'NVSE extender'. In game with sexout installed I know that the exender is not working because when I use the MCM to make a few changes I can't. Example: SeoutNG > misc > Player Sexuality > 'this is as far as I will get'. At that point I just get a squashed empty box and can't get out until I press esc to return to the game. when I go back into the menu all the buttons are no longer enabled. I can't do anything at that point but start task manger to get out of the game. I' positive that the exender is not in place, I might be wrong, I'd be even happy about it if I knew why that was happening.
Odessa Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 If NX (NVSE Extender) is not installed, when you load a game it will say 'Sexout requires NVSE Extender v11 and you have v0'. That doesn't sound like an NX problem. I don't think the sexout MCM script uses NX, and even if does, the script would fail to compile without it so you wouldn't see the sexout MCM at all. One mod with a broken MCM script can break the MCM for all other mods. Disable all of your mods except DLC, Sexout and Sex key. See if it works.
RitualClarity Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Yes as the wise Odessa stated. That is what I remember. There is a warning when it isn't installed correctly. As for all the other MCM stuff. I am not sure .. . The test she gave you will confirm that it is working or not. As far as it being installed based on your previous post it all looks good there. Test the actual sex act and see if it works. If not then more work will be needed.
MoonBernie Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Just a little thing I found out..... With everything in the right place I still got the warnings. After installing, removing and reinstalling, I realized I was starting the game from the 4GB shortcut and not from the "nsve-Loader"..... From the moment I started the game from there everthing works fine and no warnings anymore.... How could I be Sooo dumb after all those years.
Odessa Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I believe the 4GB loader sometimes loads the game the default way, instead of using the NVSE loader, and which also disables archive invalidation. I believe it is not supposed to, and sometimes does it properly, but I've had this problem. I'm not sure how much benefit the 4GB loader actually gives, I've never noticed FNV to use more than about 1.5GB of memory in task manager and haven't noticed a performance difference using it. This is not a scientific analysis.
zippy57 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 There are (or were last time I downloaded it, anyway) two versions of the 4GB loader; one that loads normally and one that loads through NVSE.
MoonBernie Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 There are (or were last time I downloaded it, anyway) two versions of the 4GB loader; one that loads normally and one that loads through NVSE. Thx. But to be honest, ingame I dont really see any difference. Altho my game is far from being stable, but that is because I tried to reinstall from a 2 year + old savegame, I stored in an external HD. So many mods are gone from nexus trough that time, or are changed.... I think would be better of removing the whole thing and start all over. with a new Character.
