gongeman147147 Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I'm new to Skyrim SE & I'm following a guide for how to set up sex mods. I ran into an issue where my player character & every NPC is stuck in the T position. I can move my player character but they always stay in the T position. I've read a lot of stuff on ways to deal with this but the stuff is old. Is there a newer way or a known way to deal with this issue that I haven't seen? Can anyone help me?

gongeman147147 Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 Running FNIS just gives me 3000 warnings that none of the mods are Skyrim SE compatible. Not sure how to clean that up. I got many of the mods here or Nexus & they were all for this game & not another version of Skyrim.

Thus, #2 is wrong. General modding advice: Don't install everything at once, because when something inevitably fails, you then have no idea what it is and no way to fix it. Start small, install just a pack or two of animations, see if those work. If so, continue with a few more. What you are doing now will just lead to headaches.
gongeman147147 Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 Do I delete all my mods & start over? Or is there another way to do a new install?
Seijin8 Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 7 minutes ago, gongeman147147 said: Do I delete all my mods & start over? Or is there another way to do a new install? What mod manager are you using? If it is Mod Organizer or Vortex, you should just be able to un-tick them without needing to do much else. If it is NMM, I'd start over, and if it is no mod manager, definitely start completely over and get a mod manager.
gongeman147147 Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 I'm using Mod Organizer 2. I'll just un-tick them & try that. Thanks for you help Seijin8:)

Thanks for you help Seijin8:) No problem, just uncheck them in the left panel, re-run FNIS and if it complains about wrong type, keep unchecking until those messages disappear. Then once FNIS runs without issues, test with the ones you still have checked. With luck, that'll set you on the right path. Good luck! (Modding can be a real pain in the ass sometimes.)
gongeman147147 Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 I unchecked all but the alternate start & my character is moving again. I'll bring the mods back one at a time until I find the bad one.
gongeman147147 Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 What do I do if it's FNIS that's the bad mod?

Just Don't Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Check that you installed FNIS properly and that you're using the SE version. Same goes for every mod providing animations (especially the animation packs you can get on this site). Any animation made for LE on a SE game will cause T-pose at some point. FNIS should tell you the mods causing these incompatibility warnings.
anjenthedog Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 To whomever asked about FNIS being broken, If you firmly believe that FNIS is the culprit, then uninstall it and then reinstall it. It's always peripherally possible that something's wrong with an installed program (even if highly unlikely) , and afaik that's the normal way to solve such an issue.

I'm also new and trying the same - without a specialized guide. May I ask you to share a link to that guide? Maybe we could help each other.
gongeman147147 Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 The guide I'm using is right here on LL. It's for SE & not LE though.
chunk300zxtt1 Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 i had same issue with t pose, i did 2 things that fixed it but not sure of the culprit. make sure your using xp32 maximum sleleton (126) bones...... in fnis when i was running it i noticed 1 issue was that i had hdx skeleton (99) bones which most animations are not compatible. these were flagged by fnis which led me to fix. i also had 2 instances of fnis installed, i installed 1 as normal but another was installed with an fmod package which i think also had the hdx skeleton with it. i sorted these and bingo.... no t pose. also im not sure but maybe someone could confirm but i think hdx skeleton is from oldrim ( le) not se.
