deskchairlamnp Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 Hello, I've found some people having this problem, but I can't find the solution to it. hdt-smp dll file crashes my game very time i try to load it. I modded skyrim alot, so i tried alot of basic stuff. My cpu is compatible. SKSE logs dont output anything usefull. Skyrim and skse versions up to date. Anyone had this issue ? Maybe someone knows how to fix it ?
deskchairlamnp Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 23 hours ago, Aylis said: Try this: As I wrote above, the game crashes before launch, if the dll is active. Tried everything, strangely, only the "htd-smp" dll crashes the game for me, if i turn it off, everything works normal (even with it being the only thing turn on, it still crashes). Really hoping someone encountered this and knows a fix
D.0.P.E. Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I was having this issue with smp and obpc. drove me crazy. I believe it is obpc that causes the crash. try using obp and download sinful obp as well and that seemed to do the trick for me. good luck

I've found some more people with the same issue on nexus, but there seems to be no solution, that i've seen.

anjenthedog Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 just for curiosity's sake, which version of skyrim are you on? I can't use HDT-SMP because I'm still using 1.5.80/2.0.16, so I use the older framework elements. So.... if you happen to be on 1.5.80 too...

As I wrote before - trying only the hdtsmp.dll and skse - nothing else, crashes the game. I found people with same issue here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8365058-hdt-smp-launching-skse-instant-crash-doesnt-even-launch/ Using an older version of patched hdt-smp .dll works (same as that other thread I linked), but most mods require the newest version, from the nexus, so it's not a solution.

coolfreaky Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 if hdtsmp64.dll is crashing you have to look at your config PC . update all what can be updated windows update , video card update , software update. in some cases instead of video card update you need a downgrade . delete skse folder and reinstall new . last thing , and really not sur , is maybe you need a library address to add to skse : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32444?tab=description

coolfreaky Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 just a test launch your game with hdtsmp64.dll and without engine fix ( remove part 1 and part 2 ) .
deskchairlamnp Posted June 4, 2020 Author Posted June 4, 2020 Ok, I've seen some more people with this problem and I found the solution! 1. In "Regional options" in windows, change your decimal from "," to "." 2. Add an empty "EngineFixes_preload.txt" file (name it like that) in the same folder as smp.dll 3. Add engine fixes dll files to main skyrim folder. Everything works perfectly now If anyone has the same issue, just pm me, i might help you solve it (it should be one of these 3 things) 2

Engine Fixes comes in two parts, and part 2 you have to put in the main folder anyway, so do you mean we need to put all the files in there?

Hey, No, just the part 1 folder, which has the files that need to go into skyrim folder, if I remember correctly. If you can launch the game and crashes happen mid-game, I'm not sure my fix will fix your issue, since it's more realated to CTD on launch. There's not much info on the web about this stuff, so good luck with your search!
