AEP Pornography problems

the aep mod is broken for me 4.3.2.a. cannot interact with makeup or clothing sims and no photographer interaction to collect pics or talk about macro/black and white photos

Is it just the photo studio part or is everything else also unavailable? To see, whether the mod works at all, try working in the AEP career or creating a channel to stream cam shows.

Also make sure that you meet the mod's requirements (game version and installed packs). Additionally, if you're playing TS4 Legacy, AEP will also not work.

photo studio part is broken.... cant do stylist, or ask for photo..... it used to work before this update.

In that case, you should report the issue over on the "official" AEP thread (hit "Get Support" on the download page).

 

EDIT: Have you talked to the SIm at the reception desk first? If you received a phone call about a photo session, just tell them about it - otherwise (i.e. when you want to have photos taken for another reason), you'll have to pay for the session yourself. Once that is out of the way, everything should work as intended.

Hey Crash, wondering if you might know. My new sim finally got a call to do the photo shoot so I had them go (why is it always an hour before work? lol) But when I get there, the receptionist was Minerva Charm from the magic world...I didn't think about it at the time, but I was sitting here just now talking to someone on discord and I remembered this happening and it made me wonder if it broke her other job to make her the receptionist.

I've heard a number of people say they have had this problem. Umm, the original photo studio building doesn't come with a stylist chair. You need to put 1 in yourself. Did you do that? It might be why you can't get the stylist to do anything. Once I placed the studio I went in, took out the first photo bay and put in a new room and put the stylist chair there. And while I am using the patreon version 4.6.3 the stylist works. Doesn't seem to really change anything like the stylist on a tv/movie set the requirement does complete. The only one I can't get to complete is the discuss photo shoot. Have never found anyone with that option.

Honestly, I never thought about that until now. For me, one of the photographers is a townie/NPC from Island Living (and I'm sure I've seen some others before, too), but I never asked them about their jobs in-game or looked into that matter via MCCC (which I would recommend, if you really want to know).

Given how both vanilla autonomy and especially some mods allow non-played Sims to evolve, I'd say it's definitely possible that your Minerva Charm gave up her original profession (if she had a job) and became a receptionist. In my game, Eliza Pancakes became a cop pretty much when I started playing and since both her and Minerva are unemployed by default (according to The Sims Wiki), the game probably assigns them and other pre-made Sims to particular jobs whenever some receptionist/doctor/whatever is needed. I also remember meeting unemployed NPCs again after installing Get Famous - suddenly they were actors or otherwise involved with the production business.

Oh...maybe I am just assuming she had a job in the magical world...I was thinking she was like L. Faba and was a sage or whatever. Thanks for responding. I didn't think the game would just let the mod switching someone like that but, I didn't even consider she might have been unemployed. She's in another game save I have and I'll check her out to be sure. Thanks!

Haven't played a photo shoot since the latest update, but have you talked to the recepionist Sim first? I had the same "issue" a while ago and then realized, that I probably should tell somebody why I'm here. After all, you can also pay for a photo session, if you don't get an invitation.

 

Make-up Sim is similar to the one from Get Famous, so I guess it used the same "trigger" to enable interactions (which would be "played Sim arrives at lot"), while all other Sims (photographer, dressing room, receptionist) were already tailored or custom made for AEP (e.g. studio receptionist is different from hospital receptionist) and therefore had triggers within AEP event logic. With the latest update, make-up Sim probably got tailored, too, and received an AEP-specific trigger (so it doesn't have to feel like an outsider any longer).

Hi, same problem here : AEP worked well for me until the event at the Studio, I go on place, but the tasks required dont show up in dialog or item, i tried to clic on the photograph set up, the stylist, the standard, but only basic choices are showing up, so i cant finish the job...

So no hope to fix it ?

Downloaded it today to try. Put the venues in the tray folder but never found them in the library so I downloaded one compatible with AEP, in the gallery. Everything was fine with the computer, chat, videos, etc but hen i'm called for the photoshoot and arrive there, I can't do the tasks. I see all the people working there and everything. But when I go to talk to them, nothing for the tasks appear...When I try to talk with the receptionnist he disappears into fine air to reappear a bit later at the same place...I'll try to make a studio at home then and see if it works....

Finally had the time to properly test the mod regarding the whole photo studio issue.

 

It seems like there's a problem with the photo studio receptionist.

There are no "reception" interactions (like paying for a session) and the front desk is not even part of the lot requirements in Build mode. A receptionist shows up, sits at the desk and does reception things, but interactions are limited to standard social stuff (and WW sex on the desk itself).

Required objects like the styling chair work as they would on any lot (you can ask to be styled and offer your skills to someone else), but neither the objects nor Sims that should be working there as stylists etc. offer any studio specific interactions (probably because the receptionist would have to enable them).

Tested with a brand new save and only AEP 4.3.2b + venue list in my Mods folder on game version 1.69 (Windows) after performing a game repair. The rest of the mod (cam shows, AEP career, sex tapes) works fine.

 

I've posted this report on the official AEP thread as well, hopefully there'll be a fix/solution soon.

Hi! This mod isn't working properly for me. Whenever it's time for my sim to go to work, she just disappears in a rabbit hole. 

I have the RedAppleNet mod as well and from what I understand, installing the mod works the same way. Just putting the .package and .script files in the mods folder and the tray files in the tray folder. I only have the venue list from RedAppleNet, and I've tried deleting the thumbcache file as well. 

The RedAppleNet mod works fine, I was able to follow my sim to work and do all the tasks and level all the way up. Now when I wanted her to start working at AEP instead, she just goes into the rabbit hole. Does anybody know what the issue could be? Thanks.

The AEP career is a regular rabbit hole job, although there are plans to make it a playable career (maybe it even is, in the Patreon version of the mod).

yes it is but it is, but it is also a invited event to a photo shoot where tasks are completed  - this part is broken

this the broken parts for me,, missing interactions with make up artist and stylist and no photographer interactions to collect photos anymore or discuss macro - black and white photos --------If you have a channel at the 'LiveCams' you can get an invitation to the Erotic Photoshoot. You will get the call after which you will be automatically transferred to the event. It's an active event where you will need to perform tasks and your pay will depend on how well you perform. You need a place a custom venue for this to works. You can find it DOWNLOAD section here or download it on my website. 

After the photoshoot you can get your photos by 'Ask for Photos'. You can take just one photo at a time.

Oh, you're talking about the photo shoot. Yeah, that part doesn't work atm.

We'll probably have to wait for a mod update to fix this.

I am having the same issue. I also don’t know where to find the desk and video camera that I need to use anywhere in the game.

The camera for home-made porn is a custom item (set the filter Build mode to only show user-created/custom content) and the video editing desk is from the Get Famous pack (which I think is also required for the camera to work properly).

 

Regarding the issues with photo studios not working properly, there sadly hasn't been any fix yet AFAIK. Ksuihuh may be working on it, but the only update thus far has been a new version of the venue list, including the Haunted House lot type from the Paranormal pack. All of AEP, RedAppleNet, and SugarLife (all mods by Ksuihuh here at LL) also still list game version 1.69.x as their supported version - so the scripting hasn't been updated since December.

This is a fun mod and I have played around with it once or twice, but it does need some tuning and fixing, the photoshoot thing is in desperate need of fixing.

I am in the same situation as most people on here, downloaded the latest version, created the venues, but I don't seem to get any calls for shoots... When I get to the venue by travelling, I am also blocked and cannot do anything, the photographer can talk about poses and the "erotic photoshoot" is an option, but I cannot use it (the sims can't get to go there?) the receptionnist also isn't at the desk, and when I want to click on him and go to the front desk option, it says "cannot do that again".

 

Any ideas?
