How far apart are the camera and the video station? It's a known problem, that you sometimes can't transfer a video to the station, if it's too far from the camera.

I have camera and video station right next to each other in one of my households and with only a wall in between them in another, both work fine. However, wth the first setup, I originally had them in entirely different rooms, about twenty tiles apart (referring to the grid visible in build mode), which didn't work at all.

You don't need to enable anything, it will happen on its own. You might not get these comments right away during your first stream (I didn't get any until my third or so), but you will see them pop up eventually. Number of comments, content and timing seem to be rather random, although there is a bit of repetition for one of my Sims.

I'm having what I suspect might a couple of related issues -- AdultWorld.com isn't available so I cant do the live stream to get promoted in AEP (I've tried every option on every computer), so I thought I'd switch to RedApple.net, but whenever I go to the office there's nobody else there so I can't do any of the "tell a joke", "complain about co-worker" tasks, it keeps telling me to clean a desk but the only interaction option I get for any of the desks is Wicked, and generally speaking it's a pain.

I'm running TS4 version 1.67.45.1020, and the only mods I have are WW, Nisa's Wicked Perversions, and yours, all current versions. so I'm at a loss.

Well, if both aren't working, it might be a problem with your TS4. Sounds like something's missing or maybe not set up properly, so let's run through a simple process of elimination:

1) Do you get any notifications about errors or exceptions? Even if you don't, is there a file like "lastException.txt" in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4"?

You might want to delete any old exception files before launching the game, so that you definitely get one related to your issue, if it's there afterwards.

2) Have you deleted "localthumbcache.package", also found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4" after updating your mods?

You should always do this after making changes to your Mods folder, as it helps prevent issues.

3) Do you have all the required expansions for TS4?

RedAppleNet only requires Get To Work, but AEP additionally requires City Living and Get Famous.

4) Are you playing TS4 Legacy Edition?

I'm not sure, but I think Ksuihuh's mods are among those that do not work with Legacy TS4 (even WW has a Legacy-specific version).

Then again, does Legacy even receive updates anymore?

5) Have you tried removing both mods entirely (remember "localthumbcache") and re-installing them?

IMO, that's the easiest way to make sure you've followed the installation instructions properly and everything is set up the right way.

For example, both AEP and RedAppleNet come with a "VenueList" file, but you can only have one of those in your Mods folder (don't worry, they're identical).

Since I'm a lazy person: Have you tried the steps detailed in the post right above yours?

If you have, move all other mods out of your Mods folder, delete "localthumbcache.package" and try again. Without any other mods interfering, everything should be working fine.

If it does, gradually add your other mods back into Mods and continue testing to find the one, that's casuing your issue.

No Nisa's and no AdultWorld sounds like you're playing TS4 Legacy Edition (or your game version is seriously outdated).

If you're playing Legacy, there's nothing you can do about those issues. Unfortunately, quite some mods like Wicked Pervs and AEP do not work with Legacy TS4.

If you're not playing Legacy, try updating the game, and if it still doesn't work, move all other script mods out of your Mods folder (keep WickedWhims though, it's required by Nisa's) and delete "localthumbcache.package" found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4".

Hi! I'm having a weird issue on my game too.
I am currently trying for the first time to do the venue and it looks so much fun! As instructed I followed some steps like dressing for the venue, drinking something, chatting with the photographer and it worked just as expected... except for the stylist. Impossible to make it work correctly. As the other NPCs were working fine I just don't know what went wrong, I tried several times but everytime it just didn't show the interraction that should go along and make me finish the venue.

It sound ridiculous lol but I really really enjoy this mod and I am really excited to finally test this part!
Thank youuu~

Haven't had time to play much recently, so I don't know, whether something got broken by the latest patch.

The good news is that photography studio stylists, like their Get Famous movie set counterparts, don't really do that much. Sure, some make-up is nice and all, but it's just for the looks (and some little bit of progress). I tend to do everything myself prior to arriving at the studio (i.e. create a special outfit for photoshoots in CAS or just use a general purpose outfit), skipping all those preparation steps. And while getting dressed for the session has a noticeable effect, a stylist doesn't change anything in a significant way. If you really want to try out what a stylist does, simply have some Sim become and actor and accompany them to work - but as I said, it's not that exciting (not at all, actually).

Also, unless Ksuihuh changed how individual actions contribute to your success, having a drink and some chit-chat with the photographer should almost be enough if you're going for gold in a photoshoot event (you can always motivate yourself in front of the mirror or complete other tasks, if you want to be sure). The main thing about photoshoots is getting those pics done after all.

If you're just there on your own, without any invitation or event, you don't need to do anything at all. Just pay for the session, have somebody take a few photos, and don't forget to ask for your pics after you're done. Even in an invitation photoshoot, you can get them at the end and sell them for some extra money.

Hi, so first off you are so awesome and talented, your Mods are very high quality!! I have a question, though, that I couldn't get answered even through excessive googling. Whenever I do a live stream or watch porn, my Sim only sits there and types on the computer. I got the impression that there was supposed to be an animation? I have the newest version of WW and just downloaded your mod a few days ago so it should also be the newest version. My base game is also up to date.  Is there supposed to be an animation? Or does everything work as it should be? Thank you so much in advance and sorry if the answer is somewhere and I just didn't find it.

First of all: I am NOT Ksuihuh and this is NOT my mod we're talking about here. I'm just a guy trying to help others around here, and while this seems to have become some sort of "AEP support thread", it isn't (well, not in any "official" way). So, if you wanna share some love and compliment a talented creator, head over to the "real" AEP thread (hitting "Get Support" on the download page is probably the fastest way).

Now, regarding the issue at hand: Live streams and VIP shows should have an animation that starts out with some keyboard typing, but then turns into what you might expect (at least for the one female Sim, that I used to test this just now). Watching porn however seems to be limited to the regular typing interaction (unlike WW's porn option, which has a custom animation).

Since AEP doesn't require any other mods, you might want to try starting the game with just AEP's files in your Mods folder (move all the other mods to your Desktop or somewhere else). Remember to delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4", whenever you make major changes to your Mods folder.

If it still doesn't work, double-check the mod requirements (game version 1.68.x; Get To Work, Get Famous and City Living packs).  If you have all these and it still doesn't work, report your issue over on the official AEP thread.

Also @Odeb : Stylist bug has been fixed with today's update.

Funny thing, I've not had any problems with AEP of its own. My problem has been trying to get the video studio lot to work with 4.3.1a/b, no matter what I've tried. There is no AEP menu on the phone in order to buy a video studio lot. Placing it, using the bb.moveobjects cheat doesn't allow it to be placed as a video studio lot. It usually goes in as generic. I've removed everything from my mods folder except AEP and WW with no success. But I can put version 4.6.1 of AEP in and delete 4.3.1b and it works perfectly. Place the lot and it lets me tell it to set it as a video studio, bought it, had my sim go there. Had the AEP menu on the phone and was able to hire a photographer and a porn actor. Gave the photographer the notes, started recording, clicked the bed and ran several options for the 2 sims and produced a movie. Transferred it, uploaded it and got royalties off of it. But doesn't work with 4.3.1b, completely stumped as to what to do.

There's your problem - unless it's a typo, of course.

The 4.6.x versions are Patreon releases and therefore contain more features (guess that's why I never heard of a "video studio" feature before), while 4.3.1b is the current public release, which only has photo studios and home-made sex tapes.

Yes, 4.6.1 is an old patreon release. The video studio lot is currently also a patreon only item as well and maybe that is the whole answer, that it will only work with the 4.6.x versions at this time. Maybe I am getting my thought process mixed up and I shouldn't be using the public versions yet. I think I just got stupid for a bit. Wouldn't be the first time, sadly won't be the last. lol Thanks

Hey all,

I am having a different problem.

Once I am called to the venue, none of the interactions work or reflect any kind of progress towards the event goals.

Like for example, when I ask the photographer for photos, nothing happens. The same for "get styled" or "get into sexy outfit", which by the way, the option of "sexy outfit" does not exist.

Any ideas?

Have you talked to the Sim at the front desk first? Getting the call is just the invitation and going there triggers the event, but you still need to tell them that you're actually there for that photo session. You can't just walk into the place like you own it (much like real life, minus the waiting times ? ).

Asking a photographer for photos is pointless until you had that photographer take some pics first. "No photos in photo-Sim's inventory" = "nothing happens".

The "sexy outfit" option is probably tied to properly starting the session, so it should show up once you talked to the Sim at the front desk.

The stylist Sim is straight out of Get Famous, so that one might work even if you just walk in (does so in GF acting events, where arrival on set is the trigger for everything). However, like the other tasks, progress will only be made once you've talked to the Sim at the front desk.

Also, to have your photos taken, don't talk to a photographer. You need to interact with the backdrop and then select an available photo-Sim. Interaction with the photographer is strictly for getting your pics and talking about "how to photo-Sim". They need someone smart to tell them "where to photo-Sim".

Good day.

Can you please tell me what is the reason that AEP stopped working for teenagers? I am currently using 1.69 + AEP 4.6.5, although the same happens on earlier versions of the game and mods.
If you create an adult character (young), then the cherished 'adultworld.com' immediately appears.

Drugs ("Basemental Drugs"), sex and romance (WickedWhims) and prostitution (NisasWickedPerversions) are available to teens. It was the AEP that stopped working ((

Link to comment

AEP for teenagers has changed quite a bit over the past year or so. Started out as openly available, then a new mechanic was introduced to ban underage users (account could be restored via hacking), and now it's apparently gone for good.

As for reasons: The mod is supported through Patreon and their rules regarding erotic content have become more strict (including no teens and no incest, IIRC), so that may be why there's no AEP for teens anymore - even in the public LL versions. Patreon versions of Wicked Whims also require some "inappropriate" features to be unlocked via an additional package.

Has anybody had any luck changing career branches from acting to production in this mod?  I've tried everything I can think of: quitting and re-joining the career only gets me down to level 5 (still in the acting career branch).  I can't seem to get Careers.demote to work (though it might just be that I don't know what the mod calls the career in the first place), and even MCCC doesn't seem to recognize the career.  It's probably not a huge deal since it seems like the actor branch is probably more fun anyway, but the completionist in me would like to at least be able to try it without training up a whole new character.

MCCC's promotion cheat always works like a charm for me, regardless of whether it's a vanilla or custom career. Last time I used it with AEP was before the recent game patch that broke all the skintones, although that was to get a Sim into the acting branch (because I'm too lazy to always start from level 1). Since the regular selection window for career branches came up, you should be able to do the same and get into the production branch, if you can't switch branches directly using MCCC.

You'll still need a new Sim, but you can try the production branch without having to train up first. Just remember to give your Sim the skills needed for promotion into the branches, unless you want them to be demoted for bad performance.
