So  I've gotten pretty far in the porn career and I've reached a "typo" and I've been trying to figure out what it means. To advance it says I have to reach "level 4 in the acting skill" and says I am at level 0 out of 4, but I have level 6 in the acting skill already. This happened before where there was a typo in what skill it actually needed me to learn but I figured it out easily. This one I can't seem to figure out. I'm at the "Performer of the year" level in my career with AEP and under "promotion tasks" it says I need level 6 charisma skill and level 4 acting skill. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know. I've just been taking skill classes in every skill I can think of that I don't have yet and haven't figured it out yet.

AEP sometimes doesn't register skill levels correctly, but normally this only affects what is displayed in-game (i.e. internally, your progress is tracked correctly). If you have reached the required skill levels and maxed the performance bar, you should receive a promotion, although you might have to send your Sim to work once more after meeting those requirements.

If you have MC Command Center installed you can also use the MC Cheats module to promote your Sim (in case the promotion isn't triggered as it should be).

I've been having trouble since my sim became promoted to a porn star actor (i don't exactly remember what it is called but it's when you are given the option to choose between two career paths). i can't open the career tab, so i can't tell what daily task I need to do. the sim can still autonomously go to work when it's time and i still will get a notification when work is in one hour. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod but no luck.

If it means anything, I have the Wicked whims, basemental drugs, mc command center, and the meaningful stories mods. I also have no expansion packs, just those mods and a bunch of ccs, but I don't think those affect it at all.

Well, according to mod download page, you need three expansions packs for everything to function properly: Get To Work, City Living, Get Famous.

I'm pretty certain that not all features of the mod fully depend on stuff from all of these packs, but I don't know what exactly is required for the career, what is needed for photo shoots and so on. All of these packs are currently on sale and if you buy Origin keys from an online vendor, you can save some additional bucks.

 

The only other thing to try that I can think of is to remove Meaningful Stories and check whether the career tab works then (remember to delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4", whenever you make any changes to your mods or the game itself). MS is the only one of those mods that I don't have installed and everything related to AEP runs fine in my game.

If all text is missing, that's normally due to a missing or broken translation. The core files for AEP should have English text as a fallback for all languages, so if you're using a translation for some other language, try removing it (and remember to delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4", whenever you make any changes to your Mods folder).

Hello everyone! I have a problem with this mod. When my Sim is invited to a photoshoot, there is no photographer in the photo studio, but the rest of the staff is there. Can you please tell me how to fix this?

That is still the old one, updated Nov of 22. Its not working right for most people.

I am playing the pornstar job, and I can not get past the softcore stage as the it won't acknowledge the media production skill increase or the daily task. Is there a way to fix this?

If you have MC Command Center installed, you can promote your Sim manually. Just click on your Sim > MC Command Center > MC Cheats > Sim Info > Career > Promote (labels are abbreviated, because I'm lazy and playing with a German translation in place anyway).

The Ksuihuh_Venue List element of the AEP is making problems with the new For Rent pack. As long as the Ksuihuh_Venue List is in the Mods folder, Rental will not show up in build mode. Removing just that element makes the Rental available again.

I quite like the Photo studio option (also in non-WW gameplay), it would be very nice if someone could make this mod work again.

That problem is easily fixed by switching to Basemental's Univerals Venue List (https://basementalcc.com/mods/universal-venue-list/). That one includes more or less all known mod venues, e.g. those from AEP and RedAppleNet, those by LittleMsSam etc.

Hi - hopefully someone can help.  AEP working fine apart from one thing.  At a video studio I can phone up a camera operator but when it comes to finding a co-star I get a strange menu with a long list of random things but no sims  Clicking on any of these just takes me back to the phone.  Makes the studio pretty useless unless I invite a friend there and in those cases the camera operator works fine and a video is produced. 

 

I've tested with just WW and AEP as the only mods and deleted all caches.  Both AEP and WW are the most up to date versions.

 

Totally lost as to what to do next.  Any ideas?
