hi, I am playing with the AEP Pornography mod but I can't find the 'adultworld.com' option in the computer for my live stream daily challenge. plus my pornstar aspiring sim wasn't invited in any erotic photoshoot since she started doing the job. been searching for an answer for about a week now. please help me with this as I love using this mod. thank you!

AEP is a little "hidden" on computers, especially compared to other mods like Wicked Whims or Nisa's Wicked Pervs. You need to find the vanilla "Web" (think it's called that, playing in German currently) option for general browsing (which is on the last "page" for me) and there'll be an item for AEP's in-game web portal - just create an account there and start streaming your first show.

The photoshoots are tied to streaming, IIRC. Once you've streamed a few shows and gathered some followers, you'll receive a call. Depending on whether you've placed a photo studio in one of your neighborhoods, you can either actively play the event or just have your SIm go there and come back some time later.

Have you tried using another computer? Ideally one that comes with the base game. Laptops from the Strangerville DLC used to not have the AdultWorld.com option available on them, IIRC (got fixed, though, I think).

Aside from that, this sounds like an issue with the .ts4script file, most likely it's not read by the game.

If you can play with WW just fine, script mods are enabled (if not, enable them in the game settings), so there's probably something wrong with how your mod files are set up. Go into "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods" and look for AEP's mod files. They should be in a directory like ".../Mods/AEP_Pornography" - only one subfolder deep, although you can also place them directly inside Mods (which makes everything rather chaotic, believe me), If they're in a directory like "...Mods/someFolder/AEP" they're buried too deep and not read by the game, so move the AEP folder directly into Mods.

Hmmm that's a good suggestion. I've noticed that for some computers and laptops, you'll never see that under Web.  I think some of the DLC computers aren't compatible with AEP. For example, I had it on a basic computer - then when I moved my sims into a fancy lot with expensive computers, I didn't see ADULTWORLD.COM under the WEB option.

Im having the same trouble and yet i checked everything : got all the DLC needed + WW. Ever since i put this mod, i lost "watch porn" on the pc and cant find "adultworld.com". Everything else works on the mod tho. I updated my WW mod at the same time of putting the AEP, and thats when i noticed i lost "watch porn" on the pc. So i put back my old WW mod to see if i can get it back and nope. So i put back the updated version of WW and looked for an updated version of the AEP mod, now that everything is updated, still dont show up. Now i have tried all the pc's in the game and only the one at 10 000$ i can see the "wicked" option but still cant see the "adultworld.com" in web as everyone can. The mod is directly in my Mods folder, no sub folder too. Please help, i dont know what im doing wrong. Never had trouble with a mod before.

If another mod is conflicting, how can i know which one? I do have many mods and many animations for WW....

oh and is it normal the photoshoot venue had no mods? just tray items??

The photoshoot venue is a lot, so it's supposed to go into Tray and not Mods. Having mod and tray files mixed can actually give you issues (at least, that's what I was told some time ago), which is why "good" creators keep them seperate. Everything is fine here.

Right now, "AdultWorld" is only available on base game computers, but "Wicked..." and "Watch porn" should be on all of them. I'm not sure, whether AEP works with TS4 Legacy Edition., so if you're playing Legacy, you might wanna check if the issue goes away by removing AEP from your Mods folder again. Remember to delete "localthumbcache.package" found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 [Legacy Edition]".

The only other reason for this (that I can think of) is indeed a conflict with another mod - but this is where it gets tedious. To find the mod, that's causing this, you'll have to test them all.

Start by moving all mods out of your Mods folder, then put the ones back, that you want to work in your game. In your case, that would be WW + animations and AEP, some other mods like MC Command Center or Basemental Drugs should also be alright. Don't add too many mods at once, though, and once again remember to delete "localthumbcache". Launch the game and check, whether you encounter the issue.

If everything is alright, close the game, add another bunch of mods and repeat the whole procedure.

If you encounter the issue again, it is caused by one of the mods you just added. Move the whole bunch out of Mods again and test them one by one. Once you find a mod that's giving you trouble, update (if available), replace (if there are alternatives) or delete. If you update or replace, test again - just to be safe.

Repeat the above steps until you have tested all your mods. You should now have taken care of the issue successfully.

Thank you so much for the advice!!! Im not sure tho if i have a legacy edition but i will verify. I do have the lastest DLC  so i may be safe there. I will do what you said and remove all my mods and retest them one by one. As for the photoshoot venue, in the installation page, it said to put the mods in the Mods folder and tray items in the Tray folder and yet all igot in the download was tray items...hence why i wasnt sure if i had missing files or not. But you just confirmed that im fine there, so awesome. Thank you so much for such a quick responce with awesome advice!!!

Eco Living? Yup, you're safe then. Anything from Discover University onward is only available for non-Legacy.

Testing them one by one is only necessary whenever you run into an issue. You can safely add about ten or twenty mods at once (and probably skip through all of your CAS items by adding them as one big bunch) to save some time - I might not have stated that clearly enough earlier. Keep those groups at a manageable size and be smart about grouping your mods together, e.g. don't put large script mods like MC Command Center and build mode items into one group. Also pay attention to mod dependencies, like with ColonolNutty's mods (they all use Sims 4 Community Lib).

Well done. You paid more attention to what it says on the download page, than I did ?

You are just awesome!! So i went and emptied my mod file and put back only the basics for the mod to work ; ww, aep, nisaperversion, and a few animations. Still nothing, then i put back the old version of WW i had and retested, i got "watch porn" back but no adultworld in web, or anywhere. So i took out the animations and rechecked, still no.  So by now ive been goofing around for about an hour and half only to remember at that moment ......i never checked the version number of the game in the first place!! Huge facepalm.

So i have version 1.61 and the mod i want needs 1.63.

Feel so stupid now ahahahahahah

But thank you for teaching me more about mods and how they work. Very much appreciated.

So i wont use the mod, i could record sex videos but couldnt upload them and guess can only go to work like other jobs.

But thank you again. xox

Me too. Version numbers are the first thing to check, but since you had WW and everything up to date, I just assumed that was true for the game itself as well.

You need a video editing station (comes with Get Famous) placed somewhere rather near the camera. Then open the camera's inventory, transfer the video over to the editing station and continue there. You can edit your home recorded porn like any other video (if your Sim's skill is high enough) and upload it to AdultWorld.com - a day or two later you'll start receiving royalty payments (just as with anything else you publish).

If you gain enough followers on your AdultWorld channel, you'll be invited to a photoshoot event (all expenses paid for by an adult magazine). If you have a photography studio lot placed in any of the neighborhoods, you can actively play this event. You select the outfit, shoot the photos and earn quite a bit of money - plus, you get to keep the photos (simply ask the photographer for them).

The job at AEP is a rabbit hole event, however there's another mod by the same creator called "RedAppleNet". This one adds a part-time active career, so you can play your Sim during their working hours (like in the careers from Get To Work). However, RedAppleNet is a rather lower-class company, so you might have to show some "extra effort" to earn yourself a promotion ?

Here's the link, in case you want to check it out:

Check here (https://ksuihuh.wixsite.com/corner/aep-s-change-log) what version of the mod apply to you game version, then download the mod version here (http://synthira.ru/load/drugie_igry/the_sims_4/aep_pornography_4_3_2_16_11_2019_18/396-1-0-7063)

it worked for me :)

That might actually be a great suggestion for Legacy players.

For everyone else it's probably still for the best to just update both the game and the mod to their most recent versions.

@JennaLifestar: Given it another try yet?

I do have the editing station and i can edit the sex videos i make but no option to upload. Im pretty sure since i dont have the first option of adultoworld to "create " the channel, theres no where to upload it lolll

In that list in the first link, i do see version 1.62 and 1.60....so i wanted to use the 1.60 but cant see to locate where to download. I know its somewhere in the second link....

@Crashdown117  I will give it another try tomorrow and see, ill try both ; the redapple one and the older version of aep. Since i cant use the new version of WW, im stuck using the last one before it, so maybe it would work. Keep you posted. Thank you so much for continuing to help me, hopefully this may help others also.  :)

Just a quick heads up: AEP was updated for game version 1.64 on Saturday, and according to the changelog missing computer interactions were also fixed (haven't had time to play the game this weekend, so this is pretty much hearsay). Might be worth a shot.

Oooooh!!! im so glad i came here first lollll i was about to start my testing...ok ill test that first.

Booma!!!! Success!!!

Ok so i tried the 4.5.0 version of AEP and  i still didnt get adultworld, but i did get watch porn. So i looked up on her change log to find the version that fits with my game. The closest i found was version 4.3.3  for game veriosn 1.60 even tho my game is version 1.61 and it worked!!! I didnt even have to take out any mods, just made the switch and voila.....my sim can now live stream.

So in the end, the version of the game really mattered in this case. I didnt try the redapple one yet...was so glad it worked, i wanted to share the good news!!!

So on her change log, past version can only be downloaded in her patreon (which i totally understand) but another member suggested this page :

thats where i found version 4.3.3 free to download (the site is in russian to i had to translate lol)

Now that i think about it, i did take out mods and it was LilMsSam venue thingies, i took them all out just in case. BUt it works !!! Yay!!!

Lesson of the day :  always look at game versions before downloading a mod and whining thats its not working bwhahahhahahahaha

thank you CrashDown 117 and cass, souza  for your help....huge virtual hugs!!!!

Glad you got everything running.

You might have to follow similar steps again for RedAppleNet since its version here at LL is for game version 1.63 (might still work fine with 1.61, just give it a try). According to the changelog (https://ksuihuh.wixsite.com/corner/redapplenet-s-change-log), version 1.1.5 was for game version 1.60, so that's probably gonna be the one to look for if the current version causes any issues. Since their release dates are nearly identical, throw away either of the two venue lists (having more than one can cause issues, and AEP/RA includes venues by others like LittleMsSam).

I am having the same issue with adultworld  not showing up. I have the latest download from patreon and am using base game computers. I can record sex videos with the vivux camera and have the option to upload them to adult world but not an option on my computer for adult world. How do i know which game version I am using? I have recently updated the game and all of my mods and have all of the game packs installed as well  as expansion and stuff  packs.

Link to comment

Your current game version is shown at the bottom of the main menu screen (the one where you can select to load a game or start a new one) below the symbols showing your installed packs. However, if you regularly update your game, it's probably easier for you to just use the most recent versions of mods and hit "update" in Origin whenever it seems like there's something wrong. The current game version is 1.65.something btw.

Regarding "AdutlWorld" not showing up: I also didn't find it right away after one of the more recent updates, because the menu on the computer was moved. It is no longer found under "Web..." but instead as an own top-level interaction (you might have to click "More..." to see it, depending on how many other mods you have installed). It still has that heart symbol, though, so it should be easy to spot.

You might also wanna ask for help over on Patreon, in case the non-public version of AEP has some quirks of its own.
