AEP Pornography problems

No clue about when there will be an update for the mod. Last update was in early February and officially, the mod is still for game version 1.69 (which is so outdated that WW doesn't even support it anymore). All we can do is wait and keep in mind that this mod is a prime suspect for any LastException the game might throw in the meantime.

Some of the files are to deep in your folder. Option #1 Take the EAP_pornography folder from the EAP_pornography 4.3.2c {or other version} folder and put it directly into the mods folder.  Option #2 Or put the files into the EAP_pornography 4.3.2c folder or Option #3 Directly into the mod folder. +As long as the files are not more than one deep into the mods folder it should work.

Finally got to play a bit again and I can confirm that the interaction does indeed show up with a correct file setup - which also means that the latest patches didn't break anything big time (which is rather surprising, tbh).

While options 2 and 3 are technically correct, I would strongly recommend going with option 1 (because dots in file/folder names are a bad practice and a Mods folder full of individual files makes troubleshooting a lot more difficult). In any case, that's some good news for @GigglePops.

Ok so in chronological order,

 

   I checked the mods folder, it's only 1 folder deep "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\AEP_Pornography" So then I took the files out of the folder and it was just "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\" but it didn't work. After that I tried deleting the mod and reinstalling again. It even has and had the venues list. Not fixed
   Am I missing something?
Is it a specific item? an activity done through the pc? I tried looking on build mode and tried in the gym and at home and I still can't find the option.

 

   This is how it looks like in my mods folder rn(I turned it back into the folder so my files are nice and organized)

Looks exactly like my Mods folder, minus the German translation package.

The interaction should appear on all treadmills, although I only tested it with a basic one (it's called "FitStep" or something like that).

 

Try running the game with only AEP in your Mods folder (remember to delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4") and make sure that you are running the latest versions of everything. If the interaction shows up with just AEP in your game, another mod is interfering somehow and you can narrow down the culprit by gradually adding all the other files back in (in batches or 50/50, whichever you prefer - just remember to delete "localthumbcache" when making changes to your Mods folder). Once you have identified a "bad apple", update or remove that mod. Continue until you have tested all of your mod files (since you have sub-folders, operate on them instead of individual files to save some time, whenever possible).

I'm sorry I have to keep coming back.... The option still doesn't show EVEN when I only have aep and wicked whims mod >_< I even deleted the "localthumbcache.package" before executing the game <:'c

Filme - gar nicht. In der Public-Version ist es ein reines Fotostudio.

Um Fotos machen zu können, muss der Grundstückstyp im Bau-Modus entsprechend auf "AEP Studio" (oder so ähnlich) gestellt werden. Dann kommt die übliche Liste mit Zeug, das man auf dem Grundstück platzieren muss, und wenn da alles abgehakt ist, sollten im Live-Modus die Leute auftauchen. Dann einfach mit dem Rezeptionisten reden, um das Ereignis zu starten, und am Ende die Fotos einzeln vom Fotographen geben lassen (nicht zwei auf einmal).

Hi I have a problem with the photo studio lot. I have  aep but in the requirements When was it when I install the Lot It gives me error, that is, options. But in these options it does not turn out what I should enter the space and white, why this problem?

Blank space instead of text means that the text is missing or not available in your current language (it likely isn't included in the mod translation you use).

Removing the translation from the Mods folder should make everything related to AEP default to English, so you can see what these items are (my guess: chair and desk for the reception, which are modified versions of base game stuff, IIRC). Once you have finished building your studio, you can put the translation back in - just remember to delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4", whenever you make changes to your Mods folder.

I did as you said, I removed the Italian translation, I have.  Removed local etc, I activated cheatsobjects etc and placed the lot as you explained.  But no change is always the same.

I went and checked it in my game, and my guess was actually wrong.

The two objects that you still need to place are the styling station and wardrobe platform from the Get Famous pack (the third one at the bottom is the mirrors, but you had probably figured that out already). Unless you simply don't have that pack installed, I have no idea why they show only blank text.

Neither the modded Joliette Desk Chair, nor the reception desk from Get To Work are in the list of requirements, but I'm sure you need them for both the AEP photo studio and the RedAppleNet office venues.

For me, the mod runs fine with the latest game patch (no visible bugs, no exceptions thrown). I haven't tested every single feature of the mod, but there's no reason for you not to try it. If you encounter any issues, just ask for help or remove the mod.

Hallo

 

vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen. Ich spiele schon länger AEP und bisher hat alles funktioniert. 

Seit   v 1.75.125.1030 ist jetzt kein Text mehr, sonst läuft alles weiterhin problemlos. Wenn ich mit Sims4 Studio die package Datei öffne sind die Strings vorhanden aber wenn ich im Spiel eine Karriere wählen möchte fehlt dann der Text. Egal ob mit oder ohne deutsche Übersetzung. Habe AEP auch schon mehrmals entfernt, thumbnailchache gelöscht und dann AEP wieder hinzugefügt - kein Erfolg.

Bin dankbar für jeden Tip!

Hast du es mal mit nur AEP im Mods-Ordner versucht? Bei mir ist der Text komplett da, also liegt es wohl nicht am Mod selbst. Eventuell funkt dir ein anderer Mod dazwischen, den du nach dem letzten Spiel-Update aktualisieren oder entfernen müsstest (Stichwort: 50/50-Methode).

Super Danke für den guten Tip! Auf die Idee wär ich nicht gekommen. Das hätte ich bei der Fehlersuche früher schon öfter machen können und hätte mir viel Zeit gespart. Jetzt muss ich nur noch schauen welcher Mod hier dazwischenfunkt. Das ist zwar auch noch etwas Arbeit aber wenigstens weiß ich jetzt, dass AEP funktioniert.

But i dont understand the instructions on how to place it ?

You just threw the files into the Tray folder, right? Just asking, because I messed this up the first time I added some Sim/lot.

You click an empty lot in one of the worlds (where you want to put the studio) and then, in the bottom right corner of the screen, you don't click the big button (the one for playing or creating a new household), but the smaller one with the tools icon (that takes you straight into building mode).

Press Ctrl+Shift+C on your keyboard to bring up the command line/cheat console at the top of the game window. Then enter the command (or copy it from the instructions and enter it by pressing Ctrl+V).

 

To place the lot in build mode, click the Gallery button at the top of the screen and go to the tab for your local files. On the left, where you can filter stuff (like only showing Sims or selecting a specific lot size), enable custom content, Then select the photo studio and place it.

 

Voila, that's it.

AEP does not feature an active career (at least not in the public version that's available here - don't know about Patreon features). If you want to follow your Sim to work, try RedAppleNet (requires "Get To Work" expansion). Similar mod, same creator, slightly different setting.

 

Der Job bei AEP ist keine aktive Karriere (jedenfalls nicht in der öffentlichen Version, die es hier gibt - keine Ahnung, wie das auf Patreon ist). Wenn du mit deinem Sim zur Arbeit willst, versuch's mit RedAppleNet (benötigt die Erweiterung "An die Arbeit"). Ähnlicher Mod, gleicher Autor, leicht anderer Kontext. Gibt auch eine deutsche Übersetzung für den Mod.
