kaanaas Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Hi, I am having a bug where the texture of the character body seems to not fit with the mesh properly. (most obvious around hip and boob area) For reference I am using UNP with SG Textures Renewal for UNP (have also tried other UNP specific textures, same problem) so I don't think it can be a case of wrong texture to body type, but I can't figure out how to fix this issue. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Andy14 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 This is clearly a wrong texture for your body. Your "desired / expected" texture was probably overwritten by another mod.
donttouchmethere Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 As Andy said! 19 minutes ago, kaanaas said: I don't think it can be a case of wrong texture to body type LIES!!! Looks like UNP texture on CBBE body (or the other way around, not tested yet lol)
kaanaas Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 Hmm that's annoying because I do remember installing CBBE before, then removing it long ago; I only have UNP and UNP textures right now though, and I've tried reinstalling both UNP and the textures to no avail. The texture does seem to be the correct one on further inspection, so is there some way I can check if the right meshes are being loaded? since it seems from your replies that maybe the old CBBE model is somehow still there.

To recapitulate: > How did you install the UNP meshes? => What mod or do you even use UUNP instead? > What skin texture mod are you using? to check: if you had CBBE installed before, do you have: > created bodyslide files? (that would need to be deleted) > have CBBE NPC replacer installed? > have NPC replacer patches for CBBE forgotten? > installed something manually? > mods that ask for body type via FOMOD that now need to be reinstalled? > some CBBE followers can also overwrite your PC's body > ⚠️ you might need to reinstall bodyslide and outfit studio to install the right meshes

Using Bodyslide, see if there's any CBBE or/and Unified UNP options? Select it, and Preview. How does it look like? If it looks normal when you select CBBE, then you're using it. Vice versa.
Andy14 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Looks like scrap on scrap. Cough .. The fact is: the texture / UV is wrong. Any mods installed, change the properties of the PC or in general?
Andy14 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Skyrim is not interested in the textures in the Nif at all. So the nif is completely irrelevant - except for the shader flags. Only the TextureSet in an ESP / ESM are important.
kaanaas Posted May 9, 2020 Author Posted May 9, 2020 Thanks for the replies. Fortunately, I seem to have fixed it for now by deleting the femalebody_0.nif and _1.nif files in the data folder (which caused the body to revert to vanilla) and then reinstalling UNP, so I suspect those were left over from CBBE and somehow weren't replaced when I uninstalled and installed UNP. Weirdly, it seems to have stopped HDT when naked but not when clothed, but at least the texture issue is resolved.
Andy14 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 That is the reason why I have only been using BMKN as a Mod Manager since the beginning. Never let me down. BTW: I am glad that you were able to solve your problem. ?
