Code Serpent Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I have seen a lot of discussions around player slavery, most of which rely on the player being incredibly weak and subservient. Especially in Lupine000's Weak Girl Thread, which is very comprehensive and I definitely recommend you give it a look. This idea of having a 'weak' character works well in the early game, or if you want to play a 'citizen' or 'side-character' play-through, but it impedes you from going through any of the main questlines, as they are all combat focused. It also kinda grinds against the grain of the game, as Skyrim was designed to be a power fantasy. So, I thought of a different take on how a player character could be enslaved or would submit. After becoming a sex-ravenous succubus, or a bloodthirsty vampire, or a egotistical demigod, the player would clearly be seen as a threat to the rest of the world, what's preventing some groups, or even the player's allies, from trying to lock her up? The player may even recognize that they are becoming uncontrollable, and may ask her companions to keep her under lock and key, and only unlocked to wreck some monsters. I'm not really requesting someone make a mod for this, but rather requesting some modders consider re-framing how slavery and submission mods could be implemented, and asking for some opinions from the rest of you.
MyNameIsnt Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Magic restricting collars/cuffs/etc. are a good way to rein in a powerful mage or warrior. It's actually a trope I'd like to see explored more, especially on the "powerful warrior brought to her knees by common/weaker enemies" side. The warrior's captors could still use her power for their benefit while being able to control her through powerful shocks/draining her power when not needed to prevent her from turning on them.
Guest AthenaESIV Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I am reading through that thread and it will take a while... But 2 ideas I have I can throw out there now are: What if a mod like Devious Followers allowed you to change between playing as the Dragonborn and a dominant follower? Like if you activate a power or something you take control of follower, and an AI package takes over Dragonborn that basically makes them a slave... When Dragonborn is NPC you have lots of new dialog options to make them do things... Maybe with TDF prostitution you could make her a whore, you could make her a breeding and milking cow, you could make her a soulgem factory, place her into I'll Take the Display Model and other ZaZ restraints, you could strip her and make her into a free use object whereever you wanted for any NPCs... Tons of possibilities. I strongly believe there should be a vulnerable heroine mechanic built into all submission mods. There are a lot of systems out there already for this like Willpower in Devious Followers, there is a Mind Break mod, you could even use Arousal as part of some calculation... But somehow Skyrim needs a well thought out method to limit what mods can force the Dragonborn to do... And there should be a widget or some clear indication of this for the player - so if the Dragonborn is say in the orange or red area of being forced to do something the player knows and can hide from it. However this works it just needs to be a fundamental framework as many mods as possible use, and it should be made easy to plug into so it can be retconned into any mod pretty easily.
Lupine00 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 In the existing City Bondage mod, you are gagged and possibly also bound, on entry to cities, because you pose a threat to residents. I think the idea here is a little different, in that you need to actually be strong, and should probably be corrupted. The latter means a succubus, vampire lord, or just crazy. Ideas like making the PC into a cow, or breeding slave, or soulgem factory don't quite fit the idea of a strong character. There was some considerable discussion of this on the SL Adventures thread; on the idea of control mechanics that could enslave strong characters. It usually comes back to some magical maguffin: shock collars, weakness potions, dependence on substances with limited availability, etc. Discussing the idea in vague terms ends up with vague solutions, which tend to be dull. It gets more interesting when specific scenarios are concerned. A practical mod that could be made tomorrow and could be useful, would be based around PSQ. A moderate level PSQ character, who has advanced a bit in succubus levels is extremely powerful. How might such a demon be controlled and harnessed? Such a mechanism of control should be wired into Slaverun, so when they make you a succubus, they can continue to control you. A magical collar that forces her to obey. Sure. Not bad. Does the job, but adds little beyond forced obedience. A substance that the PC must consume on a regular basis, or become weak and helpless (possibly even fatal is denied for long enough). It's more interesting than the collar, especially if the substance also has some unwelcome effect, like breast growth, or color change. An even more genre appropriate way to leash a succubus is an unbreakable chastity belt, possibly combined with a gag. The controlled succubus can be allowed out of her restraints only when confined in a suitably secure prison, where she is fed criminal victims. Once she is done, she must refit her own restraints before she is allowed to leave. A nice self-bondage/voluntary submission vibe there. If the above is combined with a chastity bra and milk production, the leash is even tighter. The poor succubus must now return to be milked regularly, or suffer horrible pain. And the milking could well be combined with forced lactacid, that only exacerbates the dependence. Mixing this mechanic with a mod like Slaverun, where you are already enslaved, but could possibly slip your chain due to excessive power after the succubus transformation fits perfectly, and the slavers might have the resources and understanding (provided by dremora) to execute such a cruel plan of control. Just when you think your new powers may set you free, you find they are an additional restraint. Lovely.

So I rarely if ever play as a super corrupt monster character, but all Skyrim characters get powerful eventually. Ghost like thieves and assassins, powerful sorceresses, Brutally strong warriors and Valkyries, they are all powerful, but not corrupt. I recently played an SLS playthrough and it reminded me a lot of slaverun. A sort of "super misogyny world" a world where all men hate all women and all women actually are pretty worthless. There wasn't much arc to the story of my character. Instead of a feeling of being beaten down, and forced into submission and slavery, the whole experience felt more like an escape from slavery. Starting out naked and worthless and then quickly becoming powerful. After about 10 levels it was really just a bunch of immersion breaking moments where my character who could easily kill the guy she just pickpocketed would get raped without being able to resist. I don't particularly believe in misogyny in real life so I tend to find it not very immersive when mods make all women dumb and weak. However I do have a submission kink and I think misogyny has a place in that, but it's that the men (and women) believe it, not that it's true. The goal is for things to head towards submission, an believe it or not my favorite submission mod is actually YPS immerserive fashion. It's the only mod out there (besides maybe DF) where you actually play as a Skyrim character and actually get transformed and sexualized, all while making decisions that you actually WANT to make. There is minimal "intentionally losing" -You spend all your money looking pretty to feel good about yourself (makes your character better), -You wear high heels in town because they slow you down in battle. -You eventually wear them all the time because you get used to them -You keep wearing makup because you don't feel confident without it -Wearing your heels 24/7 is bad for your feet but all the other girls wear them -It's not sex slavery like slaverun, but it is slavery. You can't stop making yourself into a sex object, you WANT to make yourself a sex object. even if it costs you fighting ability, your are willing to trade some of that. It's super immersive because all of these things happen in real life -You see professional athletes wearing makeup during their games. (time that could have been spent doing something useful, and would have been if you were playing here as a skyrim character) -A read a story about a professional MMA fighter getting breast implants(seems like a liability to me.) -the "prisoner's dilemma" of high heels. All women would be better off if women didn't wear them, but they make women look good. If no one else wore heels your best strategy would be to wear heels, defecting gives you a significant advantage. If all women wear heels your best strategy is to also wear heels, defecting prevents you being put at a significant disadvantage. Everyone's best personal strategy is to defect, so everyone defects. This also applies to makeup and corsets So maybe you want something a little more Skyrim. -Encourage characters to have specific powerful abilities not universal powerful abilities. Present them with challenges where their abilities don't work (Fire spells vs Fire immune ect.) -Encourage powers that run out, archers run out of arrows and are useless (I mean, not in skyrim but you get the idea) An alchemist that uses poison or bombs ect. -Encourage 'poverty traps' things that are very useful in the short run but not in the long run. The fashion stuff falls into this category, but you could also have things as simple as low level skills that don't scale well (strong now, useless later) You could also look at super hero literature for ideas -kryptonite is probably the least interesting (basically what a shock collar is, superman is dull for the same reason shock collars are) -morality traps "suck this dick or the innocent dies!" -vulnerable to X (martian vs fire, superman vs magic) Give roleplay reasons to submit -Debt/financial slavery -lawful characters and lawful authority, oaths promises and contracts (maybe even take away powers for breaking rules) Remember not everything has to be punishment, you can motivate by reward/lack of reward as well
afa Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I think a clean start would be to shift away from the power fantasy base of Skyrim; as in never letting the character get that strong to begin with. It is...a monumental task of course considering how deep the roots are. The gameplay balance will need to be alter, questline dialog and tone will need to change. An alternative would be to double down on the playing as a citizen/side character approach where a deeper dive into mechanics that support these play style will need to be crafted.
NoppaiKohai Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 This is the issue I have with a lot of the interesting mods here. I want to use them, but . . .I also want to actually be able to play the game. So many of the interesting mods make it so you basically just can't play the game. You walk 4 steps, get raped and have to watch an 80 second animation play out, walk 5 steps, get raped and have to watch an 80 second animation play out, walk 3 steps, have to watch an 80 second animation play out, walk 5 steps and get arrested and taken back to square one and have to watch 8 different 80 second animations play out while you get gang raped. Repeat I like the bondage, torture, and domination, I don't care about the sex stuff. It's really annoying how many mods have cool ideas, but are REALLY tedious to actually play and make playing the game basically impossible. Like, Cursed Loot is great, if not for the nonstop rape fest and "2 minute long animations every time you take one step" it turns into if you get tied up. You'll spend 2 hours trying to play the game, and barely do 10 minutes worth of content because of the hour and a half of sex animations
donttouchmethere Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 What if the PC isn't corrupted/overpowered/possessed? What if everyone just THINKs the PC is a danger no matter the lvl/perks/skills? Like how "witches" got persecuted or like MM1 deals with female PCs Or what if political/social/(angry bandits) enemies try to frame the PC to get her out of the way? That would be really scary. ?? Also this would make it easy to find a reason why the PC ends in restrains/slavery/cursed devices Spoiler PC could be also marked with tats with functions, like MM1's magic draining tat. Although not as sexy as some DDs, it would make it possible to let the PC suffer without eating up body slots for compatibility. Worst hit for me would be magic drain. Next would be SP drain. Really evil would be a HP Cap.
