Your frustration is showing. ;)

Adult modding is NOT for the faint hearted. It's a serious pain in the arse, especially for noobs.

But, once up and running, you can install damn near any "quality of life" mods you want. You can even install overhauls.

So kick your frustration to the curb and take things 1 step at a time, skip the AAF part and install NAF/Bridge or here as instructed, then continue on. You'll also need to grab some corrected xml's. But I suggest learning how to do it yourself, as that will greatly help you in the future and you'll gain a much better understanding of how they work. I'd even venture to say you'll even be making your own mashup versions. It's actually surprisingly easy!

.......and Home Depot can help!

(Well, that's what they said in their TV add, anyway....... 😀)

Funny how I can follow a Lover's Lab guide to modding Skyrim with zero issues, but when it comes to FO4, everyone here is a fucking moron.

I'm just gonna wait until NAF bridge gets updated for NG. None of you have a guide to NAF, and considering how the forums cannot troubleshoot to save their lives, it honestly just reveals a power hungry structure just like reddit. It's sad that no one is actually paying any of you to do what you do.

And you might take down "The Fucking Manual" or edit it so that no one can use it to work with NAF, but there are already so many workarounds (and screenshots) to them to the point that it's not even funny anymore. Spite is humanity's most powerful emotion. The bridge will be completed, and you fuckers will never drink in the frustration of someone like me ever again.

Well said. Also i'd add some of that real destain and anger comes from the fact they work so hard on something that they're to ashamed to show people in the real world. Anyway im off to try NAF even tho i fnally gota AAF working for once iwth out any instances. Wish me luck

Hmmm, ok soooo after a mf week of trying to get my mod list to work (including sussy wussy stuff from here), I know for a fact that Buffout 4 is a problem lol. At least for me. It was constantly crashing at the launch, and couldn't do anything about it. most likely some incompatibility that was my fault, but still. And I went back to using other, older patch that doesn't require Buffout reeee. So I suppose I'll see how it'll go lol.

Just dropping it here, in case someone has similar issue ^^

    • Start a new game to verify everything works.
    • Look out for error messages and consult the troubleshooting section if needed.
  • Enjoy Your Modded Game:

    • Your AAF setup should now be fully functional.

Additional Tips

  • Read Mod Descriptions Carefully:

    • Always check for compatibility notes and installation instructions.
  • Backup Your Saves:

    • Regular backups prevent data loss due to mod conflicts.
  • Keep Mods Updated:

    • Stay informed about mod updates, but read change logs for potential issues.

By following this simplified and detailed guide, you should have a smooth experience setting up AAF and its associated mods in Fallout 4.

Hello everyone. I've made a functional mod build about a year ago based on this guide for version 1.10.163, and I see that the guide has been updated for version 1.10.984. Before I start setting everything up, could someone please tell me which version I should choose? My main concerns are:

1. Is the new version (984) any better than the old one (163) when it comes to gameplay, mods and specifically sex mods?

2. How many mods that worked on the old version have been updated for the new one?

3. What about new mods and specifically sex mods, are they primarily made for the old version, the new one, or both?

Any other suggestions and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

No, it's actually worse.

  1. The Enclave ambushes you when you hit level 20 and on Survival Difficulty that basically guarantees a death because of the damage multipliers.
  2. Melee VATS doesn't work properly (it's very wonky, hard to describe).
  3. Two-Shot Legendary Effects miss in VATS.

Without knowing which specific mods and such, it's hard to answer your question.

Like your second question, without any specific mods it's hard to say.

Thanks. So is there anything at all improved in the new version, such as bug fixes, better performance in certain areas, or anything?

Regarding specific mods, I'd like to know which version the community prefers and where I can find more compatible mods. I'm interested in most top rated/common nexusmods like settlement improvements, gameplay overhauls, quests, interactions with characters etc, and in nsfw mods on both nexus and loverslab. Actually, if you could just share some of your own experience with your favorite mods on both the old and new versions, that would be very helpful!

[ AI summary of OP Manual ]

Wow; soo helpful.  Thank you!

One should still read the OP Manual though as the extra comments in the Avoid section kept me from making very avoidable mistakes.

Oh, a minor contention with the OP "Manual" is if you don't mind being invisible around half the time in the animations then NAF does actually work; however, if you change your mind later then manually delete any of it's remaining [empty] folders, especially if using Vortex.

Nothing. That update was made by DEI hires, totally clueless idiots resulting the very expected dumpster fire.

It is hands down the worst update Bugthesda ever put out.

Just stick with the 163 version as 99.99% of mods work with it.

Then you want the pre-Next Generation version (1.10.163).

+1 to the above posts about sticking with Fallout 4 (v1.10.163) aka the "GOG Version".  I'm so glad I purchased my FO4 GOTY from them; they are wise to not be pushing the players to the so-called "upgrade" which would force many players to pay to upgrade their PC or Laptop just to keep playing the same game.  I can only speak for this single member of the community who prefers to stick with version which has been working fine on my Laptop for years.

Is it wise to install Hardship - beggar- whore mod again after installing 180 mods and reinstall uap mod, there will be no problem...
Is it wise?

Sure.

I never install the Letio erection fix, for me, it's not necessary.

If you went through the Fucking Manual, you should be able to just install the mod and go.

Why you never installed Letio Erection fix !? Is it ok if I not install it because because after I installed Leito erection fix got genetical organs problem and they not going right way and my Leito animations become useless so so I wished never installed it too because I have to disable/unchecked Leito animations during UAP ... So starting to get nervous LOL I ALSO USE DFS because of female knee fix so I starting experiencing weird sexual organs not matching well So Lol sorry for too long typing ...

to the best of my knowledge, if you wanna mod FO4, Do NOT update. Literally no point. Stick to .163

I think its a bit like Skyrim LE vs SE/AE. Sure, as soon as Bethesda posts an update SKSE and F4SE break and a lot of mods dont work anymore. My approach is, dont update on patch day, wait till the dust has fallen down and most important stuff has updated and then allow the game to update. It worked on Skyrim and now on FO4 NG too. Especially on Skyrim the switch to SE/AE was absolutely useful in my case. More stability and of course newer mods which rely on SE/AE work out of the box. And i am sure, to see this on FO4 NG, although it might be less, as the FO4 modders community is small compared to Skyrim.

In my case the game itself is running more smoothly on NG. Only one mod (classic holstered weapons) is lost with the update. I have no problems with sexmods. AAF 1.1.1 is an awesome impovement and everything is working as expected in my case. Robco Patcher is missing too, but you can work around it in many cases and it will probably have an NG update too.

On the other hand Skyrim LE is still a thing. So it depends on the user, what he or she wants. But I don't see any real obstacle to an update.

One important thing to note is that in Skyrim, sex mods or not, most mods link against Skyrim's Address Library so that and SKSE are the only two things that need to be updated whereas in Fallout 4, not so many mods link against Fallout 4's Address Library.

Just installed using this thread and it worked pretty well.
Remarks:

For the body physics to work, I needed to install "Discrete Female Skeleton". Which is not mentioned in the linked physics mod as far as I had seen, and could also have been mentioned at the stage where you are told to install the ZAZ skeleton.

"Cum Overlays" didn't work, "Moisturizer" did. Or wasn't "Cum Overlays" meant to also be standalone? Description of that mod is very confusing. I'd remove it from the list, as Moisturizer does the job and has more options as well.

That's it.

Thank you.

Oct 2024: Does this guide still work? Autonomy enhanced doesnt work for me no matter what i try

I was able to get v3,301 to work.

Go into setting & set it to "alias" instead of "Lighthouse"

Set wait times to zero.

It takes awhile before it starts working so find something to do for a bit.

(Upgrade armor or weapons is what I typically do).
