[AAF] "The Fucking Manual" ~ Adult oriented setup guide 7th/April/2024).

Recommended Posts

I've followed this guide about 3 times now and every single time results in the exact same thing.  Majority of my mods don't work and I'm told $no_f4se upon loading up any save, and I assume the same popup appears when I start a new game as I have to press enter a couple times before it goes.  I've tried using only things specifically listed and linked to in this guide for the most basic setup and have reinstalled both fallout 4 and f4se multiple times yet it still has the same result.  Also when I check using the console in-game for the f4se version it comes up just fine as if it is there.  If anyone has advice on this situation or wants more information I would highly appreciate it.

The main cause of that is not enabling loose files in the Fallout4Custom.ini which is also detailed in the guide (go to the first page, Ctrl+F Enable Modding).  So check that, and if that doesn't solve it please follow the discord link and we can help you easier from there.

If you do have those lines in your ini file, try starting a new game to see if it works.  Those lines must be there prior to starting a new game, or else your save will be broken.

I do have that enabled and I have done multiple new game attempts since enabling it, thanks for the advice I'll be checking out the discord for further help

Allo

I get confuse about:

1-Buffout is look like we dont need any more TBB clarified please.

2- problem on version Xse 2.5.1 and your!

SEE attachCapture.thumb.PNG.853d0e0152c2ec82652139d978fff2a9.PNG

1- We know about the new version no longer needing TBB, just skip that step.  These instructions will be updated at some point.
2- The screen shot in the guide of the xSE PluginPreloader.xml is from the older version of that mod so that's why it looks a little bit different.  The intent of the instruction is still the exact same.

Don't use baka scrapheap and you wont need to worry about that setting.

And the buffout instructions are there, just skip TBB

I update my post in spoiler, that what i got with buffout 1.26.2 + xSE PluginPreloader F4 0.2.5.1 (no baka, no tbb), game start only with "MemoryManager = false", if true got this.

And I have a suspicion on looksmenu 1-6-18 from guide...  Nope, and i have no idea wtf with buffout memory manager, turn it off, install scrapheap, base game looks good and smooth

Did you also install Address Library?

You should not have to change the memory manager setting in Buffout.toml from the default: image.png.c11918132e61c6ac2b74bf0269f92e4b.png

Buffout has a superior memory manager than Baka.  But if there's some reason you can't run it that way I have no explanation.

If you keep having a problem and want to look at it further, it might be better to join the AAF discord from the link in the guide and ask us there.

Edit:  I just realized you copied your buffout log in that spoiler above.  The only other suggestion I have is double check your F4SE install and make sure you've got the scripts, and check your F4SE.log file.

Is UAP broken? I just reinstalled and booted the game up, but keep getting CTD's when i open the pip boy. uninstalling UAP fixed it, but i'm not sure if my save'l work without it since i'm a bit of a scrub. Can anyone weigh in?

I have buffout 4. maybe it broke from uninstalling and reinstalling? I'll give it a shot.

EDIT: I reinstalled buffout 4 as well as its dependencies, and it works fine now. Vortex must not have deployed it right after reinstalling. Thanks for the help. It was deffinetly buffout related.

Having learned the hard way in the past, any time I reinstall or upgrade Buffout 4, I check the f4se.log to make sure it's actually being loaded the next time I start up the game.

Greetings, can someone tell me how to move the bodies in the animation? sometimes the "penetration" does not match, thanks

Look in the AAF config ini, it will give you the keys and you can adjust how much you can nudge in all the directions.

Sorry, I have looked in that file, I have pressed all the keys of the mod and I don't know how to do it

You can't, really.  You can use the numpad keys to move the whole animation to the left, right etc.  But there's no way to micromanage the lining up of the bodies while the game is running.  The only way to do that is to edit xml files which isn't all that simple to do.

Feel free to join the discord if you would like us to check your setup out.  Small discrepancies in alignment aren't abnormal.  But if your animations are way off, maybe we can help you there.

So, animation part works properly for me so far, but there is one thing - in guide its said to build BT3 with 0% erection done so, but males member is not getting up during animations and stays unerected. Am I missing something?

Are you using Looksmenu 1.6.18?  Using this older version usually helps with erection morphs, but the cost is that you can't get naked during the mirror scene or it will crash to desktop.  Also when you built the male body did you make sure the "build morphs" check box was checked?

Oh, so you need to build something in that looksmenu, i thought it was like RaceMenu in Skyrim. I was only testing so i straight up skipped character creation, i'll see whats there

No.  That's not what I'm saying.  The guide says to have Looksmenu 1.6.18 installed.  Is that the version you are using?
