Problems with downloads

Recommended Posts

Getting the same issue; downloads will stop randomly. It'll 'finish' the download, but the .zip file will be corrupt.

Exactly the same for me too.

I've downloaded a mod with no issue not long ago but now I'm getting the corrupted archives trying to download the Zaz Animations, tried several times.

I see many people reported this issue the last few hours.

Is this a problem I just have to wait a few days on? I haven't been able to download anything larger than a couple of megabytes before the download halts. Chrome, IE, and FireFox do it and there's nothing on my firewall log.

Edit: Actually, perhaps LL doesn't use Cloudflare anymore. It looks like Linode.com is their provider now.

I downloaded 100 MB from what appears to be the location of LL's files in less than 2 minutes.

So, no luck downloading for me. :-(

Edit2: I was able to do it with Internet Download Manager! Lots and lots and lots of restarts but it eventually did it. Went up to 1MB per second for a while then down to just a couple of BYTES per second, back up again, then back down again, etc. but eventually got it done.

Download manager works for the files section, I can download attached files from threads, but the problem can still occur with pictures when I click on a thumbnail. I get the white box where the picture is supposed to go but no picture. For smaller pics I can just try again but larger ones will never come up. The size seems to be the same threshold as files without download manager; maybe up to 3MB evenually but never more than that. So, there are still some issues for some reason.

I tested without Kaspersky and without adblockers (gasp!) on IE  on a virtual environment and the problem still occurs. I got the popup porn ads and everything but no larger pictures.

Here's an example of a direct link where I have the issue (warning - werewolf sex :-p)

hi!

For some reason, all the downloads on LL are not working for me. I always get the 15 seconds warning even if I didnt download anything. Am I the only one with this issue?

Thanks ^.^

The server ran out of hard drive space last night and Ashal got that fixed.  However, this may have had a ripple effect that wasn't felt until today.  Firefox seems to not be working at all.  Chrome and IE work fine.  If Chrome or IE isn't working for you, just delete your cookies and cached files for your browser, fire it back up and login and you should work.

After deleting cookies Firefox works for me as far as I can see.

As swmas and nanashi50 say deleting cookies in Firefox worked for me as well.

Deleting temporary files and cookies did not work for my Firefox.

Maybe try to clear all your browser history and not just cookies? i didn't need to do that.. but maybe that'll help?

I'm also having this problem right now. :)

Edit: I've only deleted the LL cookies named as idm_wait_period (there were three of them) and it is working now. However, this is only a temporary workaround, not a solution and the problem is obviously not on our side.

I don't know how the download system works TBH, but if it gets any time value from the server, then maybe the server's time is incorrect?
