You are using Outfit Studio incorrectly and apparently you are reluctant to read over my "How To CBBE", along with the weight paint info in the UUNP version.  And again, you are "importing" the _0 & _1 BodySlide "created" output nif files into OS and that's  WRONG!

I tried switching, and I have saved copies of both of your how toos.  I'm telling both of you guys, it is not working.  In outfit studio it looks perfect.  In outfit studio, there is no clipping.  In outfit studio, the bone weights are perfect now.  In the game, it is bad.  And I have been trying everything so far, short of reinstalling everything.

I'm not trying to be rude.  I'm just trying to be clear.  I have tried these steps.  I cannot see anything wrong in outfit studio, no matter who's steps I'm following.  It all looks normal in bodyslide.

I am trying again because the pictures help make things a bit more clear.  But so far it's proceeding exactly the same.  There's no visible clipping while I'm in outfit studio, or anything to indicate something is wrong.

IT FINALLY WORKED!  OMG!  I don't know what I did different this time but it finally worked!  I loaded the project like before, built the body the same.  Tried copying the bone weights the way I did before.  Suddenly it's working.  Still some minor clipping on the sleeve but otherwise good enough to satisfy me and a really bad hand seam.  EDIT: (The seam is from the gloves, not the armor.  I think I know how to fix this one myself.  Or at the very least it won't bother me much.  It also causes some of the clipping.  The hand mesh for the cloves is slightly misaligned with the rest of the outfit, causing the hand to protrude through the sleeves.)

Now, if I were to archive the mod folders would I be able to save what I've done so that if I ever reinstall the mod I can skip this step?  Or is this something I'll have to do everytime?

I'm gonna experiment a bit with the next outfit to figure out what I did that made it work this time and not the other times.  Maybe I accidentally skipped a step somewhere or misclicked?

...your mod manager is irrelevent.

Turns out it is relevant if one is using MO2.  There were two different folders containing slider sets.  One wasn't being used by the game but still had file in it.  I was loading from this folder, I should have been loading from the other one.  I don't know if this is normal for MO2 but it happened.  Source of all my problems.  I'm definitely switching to vortex next reinstall.

I tried applying this strategy to other outfits now.  In general it works better than what I was doing, but some outfits don't work as well as others.   But in general works very well.

Thank you both btw for your patience and helping me this far.  The hand seam is the last issue I need to tackle and I might know a method that is good enough.

I suppose it's good for some folks, but I often see people with pathing issues, etc., using MO2.    I don't use it, so I don't really know.   I only need to add mods / remove mods. That's it.  MO2 and Vortex, to me, are far too over-complicated for my needs.  I use the crumby ol'  "Community" version of NMM.

You can create a "Temp" directory anyplace  - even under "CalienteTools" (mod managers don't know that directory exists, so it won't - well, it shouldn't (MO2) - get deleted if you blow out BS/OS and re-install) and make a "SliderSets" and "ShapeData" directories in it. Copy any / all of a mod's  SliderSet  .osp files into the SliderSet directory and  "ShapeData"  folders into the ShapeData directory.  If you need to, you can then copy those files into their respective directories later on - OR - make up your own mod - based on your files.  That's at the end of one of the "How To's".

Glad to hear you discovered what the problem was.

Amen to that, brother.

All that hoodoo-voodoo about 'virtual' folders and nothing going in your Data folder. Yet to see anyone come up with a convincing explanation as to why these things are so wonderful.

" The great Way is simple,  but people delight in complexity.

I like the virtual setup of MO2.  It's just easier with my kind of thought pattern.  But sometimes I get stuff like this and it makes things twice as hard.

I used to use NMM but it kept breaking things somehow.  But that was also in the very early days of modding for me, so it maybe that I didn't know what I was doing back then.

This is what it looks like when i "Load project".  It is exactly the same as when I load any of the nifs.

It always looks like a perfect fit, even when I load a body as a reference.

Once it is in the game, everything falls apart.  But all of the bone weights are correct.  I have followed the instructions.  I have tried every-bodies instructions so far.  As soon as I edit ANYTHING it gets worse 100% of the time, no matter HOW I edited it.

Whoa CBBE PATCH creator here lol.  They really raked you over the coals.  It pretty clear you are not at all familiar with the terminology.  Please just post a screenshot or pic of your preset for bodyslide here.  I'll fix the clipping for that preset.

I appreciate it, but they have in fact helped me, even if it was a bit tough.  Aside from the hand seam I mentioned on the mod's page, it now works perfectly. ^-^

Awesome.  Didn’t have a chance to work on it yesterday, and unfortunately the conversion for a character I was working on ended up being denied by the author
