Yup, and yeah shooting can be fun, especially when most shots look like they're firing 2-4 shots at 2-4 different places every time lol. Maybe I should try a bot match with it active and record it for you guys lol. hehe that would be nice, drunk dude shooting like crazy It's been ages since i played UT, and most of the time i played on the previous version of that map, Deck16

Is it a round based shooter in a small area, or a sandbox survival game? One of these lasts about 10 minutes on average, the other can last a few hours. If the former, classic weapons. If the latter, modern weapons. Hmm, I would say on average, the goal per level/mission time will be somewhere around 30 mins to an hour. There will be a free mode later on where it'll be far more open, do what you want type of game play, but that won't be until later. Makes pin pointing the best layout/setup difficult to predict accurately. Though I believe, based on what I've been thinking, what I've been hearing, and given how close the poll is, a blending of both is probably going to be needed. But I'm going to wait and see how the poll goes first, before I go jumping the gun on anything. Moving on, made some nipples for the breasts of the model, these look alright to you guys?

Had an awful time with this in zbrush this morning (Pretty much all known zbrush errors at the same damn time, entire tools were failing lol) so I apologize if this looks a little rougher than it usually does. I'm re-downloading it and hopefully I can get that by the end of today. But yeah, I think I did alright given the circumstances though lol. If not I'll just roll it back and try again later once I can get zbrush working again. Also starting to laugh at zbrush support, their answer to almost every issue I've had with them has almost always been to just re-download it and then reinstall it...I hate waiting on stuff like that.

Still have to reinstall it, but at least I've got my copy downloaded finally lol. So to pass the time, I made some decent progress on the Rain effects, it's actually pretty clever how I got it setup, and I'll have more to show of that once I figure out how to fix one last remaining bit. Also got bored and learned how to do this for some reason (see attachments). Enjoy.

Also, I really like the Drunk Effect, but just out of curiosity, do you plan on expanding the whole drunk system or will it just be one of those things that ruins your sight for a few minutes?

Yeah you'll be able to adjust your characters face to some degree (similar to skyrim, but a bit simpler. I'm only one guy here lol), bust size, hair, and skin color. Not sure what you mean by expanding the drunk system? Explain that a bit please, and I'll try and find you an answer lol. Moving on, I got the rain a little farther along, and fixed most of the issues I was having with it thankfully. I've got it rigged up in a cool performance happy way, as there is a single rain effect that simply follows the player around the level. Creating the illusion of rain everywhere, but with only one particle system. Also the rain can create splash effects on the ground based on the collision which is pretty cool. Anon989 Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 Sorry about the lack of updates atm, hurt my wrist a few days ago, so that kinda killed my momentum here lol. On the bright side, I THINK I finally got the HuD where I want it (Was fun drawing it out with my left hand, since I'm right handed lol). I just have to make it in photoshop and see how it looks in engine. I've got better hopes for this one however, as I came in with a more minimalist approach that I think really cut down on the unnecessary bits. I'll post back here later today if I get anywhere with it.

So much to do sometimes, and combine that with how easily distracted I can be...and well you get the idea Moving on, poll is over (Hope you all voted already), and the vote almost broke even with Classic winning out by like 3 votes I believe. So given how close it was, I'm going to be tweaking/redoing everything I had so far weapon wise. So disregard all weapon stuff mentioned here prior to this post, and I'm taking down all the weapon stuff on the blog as well. I'll try to get that up after I've found a happy middle ground between the two. Hooray compromise lol. Oh, and a big thank you to everyone who voted/commented on it, your input was incredibly helpful . Also been working on the HuD stuff and mentally exhausting myself. So I'm giving that a few days off, so I can come back into it with a fresh perspective on things. On the bright side, zbrush is working a ton better now, so I'm going to try and finish up the mouth stuff finally.

Yeah, it still needs some tweaks, but it works well even without them atm btw Probably going to do a tutorial on my other blog once it's completed, so you can learn how to make it yourself if your interested. Moving on, Update September 18th: Been poking around with my modeling stuff, almost done with the mouth now. Now I also tried messing with the HuD again, and I think I found a setup that's growing on me now. I was having trouble trying to keep with the theme of having an AI like overlay without making it too invasive. End result makes it look more like the readout of a hand camera or something which I kinda like. But yeah here's a breakdown of what's going on in it. On the Top/Middle = Shield bar and just above that is the compass (Will function similarly to fallout 3's compass). On the Top/Side = Armor Status, Virus Status, and Lust Status. Armor Icon will flash when clothing is at 50% or lower durability, and then go solid when it's been compromised. If it's less then 50% it will fade out since there's no need to worry about it yet. Virus Icon (The skull) will flash at 50% or higher infection levels, and then go solid when you start turning. If it's less than 50% it will slowly fade out until viral levels are at 0%. Lust Icon will flash at 50% or higher, and then go solid when you start having to deal with it's effects. If it's less than 50% it will slowly fade out until your Lust levels are at 0%. Bottom Left = Health bar, and LB Skill Bar Health Bar will fade out once health is full LB Bar shows your active skill (It's picture will be placed right next to the LB Button) This also shows the cool down between uses so you'll know when your ability is ready again Just to note certain Skills will have different cool downs, this was done to ensure that skills we have planned for are not potentially spammed or abused in game. Also like everything else, it will fade away when not in use Bottom/Center = Battery/Energy Used by all your vision modes and flashlights, this will slowly empty when used. (In the pic I'm showing you below, this is only partly done atm) Once at 100% energy, the icon will fade out until you start to use it again. Once my coder can actually start coding again (hes been getting ransacked by IRL stuff), I can get things out of the prototype stage and into something playable. But for now, I'll just continue moving along lol. Oh and yeah, I definitely recommend trying it out, I was terrified of it at first, seemed like so much to take in, but now I'm really digging it. Much faster than the source engine, though I still love blocking things out in source over doing it in the udk. Also they really should advertise it (udk) from time to time that's it's free to try out. You could make a whole game via kismet and not even have to touch code, that's an awesome tool for people who don't have a background in programming.
