I'm about to post an update that switches YA over tho. Load Ungulates before YA but the deer NPC esp after, and you'll have the deer vanilla NPCs in Falkreath.

Both versions. But there something i wanted to ask - HDT and SMP tails. Specifically argonian tails, which i was used for very long time on LE version. As i noticed, SE don't have both genders tailargonian file in BDBeastModels folder, probably that's why, lizards tail is vanilla. Is that was intentional? or i miss something? In other words, argonian tail is not working. 1

I was just wondering why on SE argonian tails doesn't have an SMP variant like other races of this mod. It was on LE with HDT and it was good. There is an some replacer on Nexus, for Khajiits and Argonians, but they are... umm.. strange. In wrong place of the body, which makes them short, like Draenei tail.

I'm certainly no expert on how SMP works, but to me it looks like there's a lot of redundancy in the SMP tails folder. Hell, there's even an xml file with the "- Copy" suffix on it. Is there any particular reason all the tails can't operate from the same xml extension? As long as there is one object in each file that is named something like "tailBase" for the collision data to hook onto. Though in my limited experimentation with trying to hook different tails to one xml I tended to get CTDs or strange pelvis-sinking-through-the-floor issues. So I dunno.

I was trying a bunch of different options trying to understand the behavior and get to something reasonable. Also trying to get horse tails, for example, to behave differently from khajiit/wolf tails. So yeah, a bunch of extra files in there. Short answer: So far, I don't understand the behavior and can't come up with anything reasonable. As for argonian tails, I'm not sure they even should be hdt-ized in the sense that they are much less flexible and more under the control of the animal than other tails. Having them swish around doesn't look as good at the best of times.

I wouldn't worry too much about that, I think you've done a pretty good job with them so far actually. The male Lykaios tail for instance behaves, in my opinion, a lot more naturally with the SMP setup compared to the oldrim equivelant, if a little stiff. I appreciate how they follow the curvature of the spine more than I remember the PE ones doing.

In ESO, for example, tails have the same animations like Khajiit, but then again, it is animation, not a physics. But that's completely up to you, if you can come up with something, that will be great, otherwise we can completelly remove them... better than vanilla anyway^^

This has now happened on two separate playthroughs, the loading screen is black with just the character level bar in the corner, then a few seconds later it crashes. I was able to avoid the crash by: Disabling only Yiffy Age and launching the game Entering the dungeon and making a save Exiting the game, reenabling YA and launching the game again Using Race Menu to reapply my character's appearance from a preset. (And replace the BD sheaths with the BD anthro schlongs as is my preference) Once inside with YA reapplied I can save, reload the area, even leave the dungeon and reenter it, all without crashing. Satarack Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Second issue: The YA version of the dwemer head bust (that are usually high up on walls) lacks collision. I first noticed it when starting the Aetherium forge quest, in Arkngthamz there's one of these statues on the ground next to the underground river and I walked through it while trying to get out of the water. Bad Dog Posted January 19, 2021 Author Posted January 19, 2021 V10, going up now, has collisions on the bust. The crash in Ansilvund, shit, I dunno. Since you can load it after doing your thing it's probably not a mesh. Any bandits in there? Even if there are, should crash if it's tris or something. Anyone else able to get in there?
Satarack Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 There are no bandits, just Draugr, spiders, a Flame Atronach, and leveled mage enemies (Conjurers and elemental mages). Some of the draugr are programmed to act like they're mining the walls (just facing the wall and playing attack animations) while being supervised by the mages, and there are some event triggers that play sound clips of the boss of the dungeon telling you to stop interfering with her work, etc. The boss herself is in the next map, the Ansilvund Burial Chambers.

Does this mean there are now no differences between the regular and digi foot meshes? Do I need to update my CBBE refit to remove the NIOverride string, or just tell people to use the regular meshes for YA versions 10 and up?
Bad Dog Posted January 19, 2021 Author Posted January 19, 2021 The script is only for when you sit, swim, sneak or lie down. Because the lifting is done by lifting up the root node, when you do those things the system treats the center of the body as the point around which to move, so the feet lift off the ground (or you swim too high in the water, etc.). The scripts lower the body in those circumstances, and for sitting, remove all the digi adjustments so your feet don't go through the chair. The adjustments themselves are all done in the nioverride string in the feet mesh. For no good reason, I did the lifting in the feet mesh but the rest of the adjustments in the unique skeleton. I finally realized there was no need for that, all the adjustments could be done in the string. So ya, you need to copy over the new string from the latest version. Note the kitties have a slightly different adjustment from the doggies. 1
