Invisible body when wearing corset/devious device

So I've finally gotten Skyrim to run with mods how I like it, but, when I load into the game with the Enslaved Princess background, my character is a floating head with a ball gag on. I've tried running bodyslide, using the batch build and build morphs, but nothing makes sense to me. I've tried looking up tutorials and reading the forum, but nobody's very clear about what they're doing, or the pictures they used to demonstrate are dead.

I'm using MO2, with dimonized unp and unpb installed, and realistic girls on top of it. The DD page says to run Bodyslide, but it doesn't explain anything, and I really don't understand the documentation that comes with BS.

I had the same stuff happening when i started modding.

Check out DD's mod settings. There should be az option, where you can switch your body's visibility if you are wearing devices.

something like "Hide body if wearing XY cloth slot". You have to change that. If tahts the problem.

BTW i suggest you COSIO's body mod. Its way easier, with more physics.

Sounds like a slot issue use dds mcm to change the armor slot that the armor addon is being applied, if that fails I suggest you use tes v edit to check the esp and change both the armoraddon record and armor record slots to the body or corresponding slot you want the armor to appear on

As I understand it you already know that your problem is with Bodyslide. Let me show you what I think you are missing.

When you "do" Bodyslide pay attention to the magnifying glass that I've circled in red. When you hit it you get:

Spoiler

This dropdown menu. You need to click on "Choose groups ...". That in turn will give you this:

Note the blue rectangle on the side. You may very well have to scroll up and down to find all the boxes that you need to tick/ Some of those boxes, like the DDx I circled in orange are clearly related to Devious Devices. The other "Unassigned" contains many of the DD devices and must be checked to avoid the invisible body. Once all that is done, build your body with Bodyslide, tick off "Build Morphs" in the bottom left and finally "Batch Build". That should get you where you want to be.

I went to group but I don't see DDx, am I doing something wrong?

Note that you hit the magnifying glass at the top to get the list of groups. Then you choose the groups you want to build from there (generally best to Batch Build the whole lot). If DDx is not showing up you probably need to reload it.

What body reset are you using when running Body Slide?

If you select another preset do you see DDx in the drop down?

You didn't choose a preset to build the group.

What happens if no preset is chosen?

Does it just build the first possible standard preset that comes with BS?

It builds whichever setting is on the screen. I normally make a new "preset" with every game varying the looks of my NPCs.

creative ?

I cheat with Nexus body presets :classic_ph34r:

Otherwise I would only create homunculi ?

I want to point out one other thing that this allows (although I'm usually too lazy to do much with it). After Batch Building in Bodyslide I can go back and pick individual clothes/armors to build with an entirely different sort of Bodyslide. So, Farm Clothes 1 may have big boobs, Farm Clothes 2 a big butt, and so on. With a little patience you can make most of the game's NPCs have significantly different bodies from one another.

You last downloaded a file from this mod on 25 Sep 2018 ?

These days I just go with my tweaked Sticc to Thicc

Your last sentence points to the problem.  I'm having the same problem because Vortex has not been installing DD correctly.  This results in DD files not showing up in BS.

The latest version of Vortex has fixed this problem.  I know because I just installed the latest version of Vortex and the DD files are now showing up everywhere.

Now I just have to figure out how to make the restraints visible.

They all need to be built in Bodyslide.

After you install the lastest version of Vortex and reinstalled the DD mods, you will need to build the DD assets.  I eventually have everything working after trying for 12mths.

Here is a good tutorial to build the assets.
