So anyone find a fix to the newest versions error?

I really wanted to try this game, but it seems even "English Translation" is still all Japanese backend hooey.

Windows 10 is like BITCH PLEASE, KICKS IT INTO THE TRASH BIN  

Windows defender tried deleting it twice, antivirus blocked it, then the exe just gave up after i fixed the other issues.

where did you download it? i got windows 10, and VH is one of the few games i DON'T have problems with. are you using the prepatched netty folder from tlwiki.org or another download?

most of the translations in the netty folder are good, although some garbled machine translation get through every now and then..

 

you don't have a version from later than march, right? because if so, where did you get it? i wants it

From the looks of it it's related locale settings on your machine.

While Locale Emulator works in some case in others it doesn't. (Take CM3D games as example)

Try Launching it normal via Locale Emulator (without Admin Rights , in some rare cases using admin cause conflict)

If the above doesn't work , I believe only changing your machine Locale.

Or wait for other fix.

I downloaded the .7zip folder not the netty folder. I tried to find it but i must have deleted it.

I will try later to change my local to japan then restart the pc. Because i already tried ti without admin and a different error.

None of the wikis out there are updated, none of them contain the character Eia (the green girl from the jungle).

 

I finished her quest but the entire thing was so buggy, you'd end up walking on air and stuff and at one point, when trying to enter the cell where you see Eia for the first time climbing up the ivy, it would just black out and I can't do anything if I had Ashley in my party. Then after dismissing her, and after finding Eia poisoned, I tried fighting my way out of town but the same blackness happens if you try to leave the town. The only way to progress is to trigger the ceremony scene where Nanako then gets all her tattoos.

 

Now those tattoos are awesome, if it could happen I want her to have piercings like Ashley too but the problem is, after getting the tattoos, all sprites of clothing or covering fluids no longer show up on her body, but on nothingness on the top left of the screen. Basically, Nanako is constantly nude and there's clothing white stuff floating up to the top left... What's happening? Is there a fix?

 

Anyone know where I can ask for help? Are there still active threads around?

I play the 170722 version since 180313 version crashes left and right like there's no tomorrow

This might help some people to get it to run:

TL;DR:

- Add support for Japanese Characters

- Set Support for Non-Unicode Characters to Japanese

- Install RTP

- Use Compatibility Mode for low-res low-color Applications.

i get that bug everytime i enter a building but when going back to older versions that error doesnt appear and odd thing is the saves that came with the version seem to work fine.So i tried the fatalmix exe and the game seems to run fine and side not is there a way to keep the standing picture on at all times?

EDIT: actually I had that error before, instead of running 'RPG_RT.exe' use 'RTP_RT_FatalMix2010.exe' if you have it. not quite sure but using the RPG_RT would always throw that error a bit after entering a building but using FatalMix2010 never had that error once

I feel you fellow brethren lol. Basically.... You're fokked, you can't get rid of it, just start a new game.

 

That part of the game wasn't finished at all. No followup quests or anything. You were meant to play the game without actually doing that part. The problem is, after a few missions at the capital you're required to take on that quest to rescue Eia, blocking you from further doing quests in the capital until you finished it. Just bad design and timing on that part.

Right now, this is the most active thread with developers and players all on it. It is in Japanese however, so unless you can speak Japanese, you won't even be able to file a bug report let alone read people's advice on it. Despite that, it's where you can get the latest versions of the game and see  what people are doing with it. 

 

I just wish the English community was more on top of this though, I guess everyone's just like me where we just don't feel like spending our time translating forums for porn games lol.

So, it looks to me like both TlWiki and VH Wiki got nuked at some point, as attempts at access from multiple computers and yadda yadda have produced broken link responses.

 

Anybody have any news on that front?

Is it still down? My guess is that if you couldn't access it on that day is because an update for the translated version came out the same day since I was able to access it fine earlier.

It looks to me like the newest (180608, dated Nov. 17th) is by far the largest (493 MB).
