or Go: Control Panel < System & Security < System < Advanced system settings < (under Advanced < Performance) Settings

Now: < DEP (Data Execution Prevention): Add both EXEs RTP_RT.exe & RTP_RT_FatalMix2010.exe

Has anyone ever been stuck in a bug where combat is essentially turned off? No matter where I am I can't attack and enemies can't attack me. How to fix this?

I unfortunately don't have any input for your question, KindaPervy, though admittedly after my recent return to and reinstallation of Violated Heroine I haven't actually gotten far enough into it to test combat (I also opted out of the combat-beta, in case this might have relevance).

 

I'm mostly replying to this topic because it's just the most recent one dealing with Violated Heroine because I wanted to share some troubleshooting I did with anyone else who might experience the issue in the future. Upon playing the game (starting with the most recent translated version, as seen on the screenshot) and I reached the Onsen Town (the starting town), leaving the central town map in any way - entering a house or leaving to adjacent areas outside the map - would crash the game with the message:

Checking Hongfire I found someone else with the same error, who seemed to get the recommendation to go back to an older version due to the most recent one being bugged. After some searching I found the version suggested there, only to discover that the issue persisted, even starting a new game. So I started a new game once more and, on a hunch from another post on Hongfire, disabled the "Time System" during the intro. After this the error has been absent, even after going back to the newest version of the game, so this seems to be the real cause of the bug.

 

TL;DR: If you get the error message above, it can be solved by disabling the "Time System" during character creation.

For one, that's a pretty reckless place to extract that to. Old Japanese RPG Maker projects are just not easy to get running. For Windows 10 to run programs that do not recognize your OS language you need Locale Emulator https://pooi.moe/Locale-Emulator/ And for specifically the RPG Maker running Violated Heroine you need an old-ass "Run Time Package" found here: http://web.archive.org/web/20130521184330/http://download.tkool-online.com/rtp/2000rtp.exe . Please place games in their own folders for easier usage and better stability.

I can't instal RTP. While istalling I gat that a file is wrong or smth.

I forgot to mention that because the RTP is such an old program I don't think Locale Emulator works for it. You actually have to set your pc's language to Japanese to install it, you can switch it back afterwards.

Are there some sprite animations missing in this game since when I was fighting a slime monster there was no grab sprite animation to it but when fighting against normal enemies like some mercenaries there were.

RPG Maker 2000 runtime is not installed or cannot be found.

By the pic seems like you are trying to load it from the zip,sadly you need to unpack it first unless you use moshimo loader which can load rpg maker games from zip but is a mess if you have password protected games.

My advice unpack the game first after that you won't have problems.

If you get errors well the reason is simple you don't have the language installed (not to mention you aren't running the installer in compatibility mode and as admin)

well the game is explicit certain techniques are for humans only so they won't work on monsters.

I've been looking this game and looks fun, but the installation sounds more like trouble than it's worth....

Can we play the game without making changes to the PC and stuff? I don't trust the third programs requirements....

It needs the Japanese text to run, even when English patched because the game's files are partly in Japanese. You pretty much have 2 options. Either change your system locale or download something like Locale Emulator. I use the second for my JP games. It simply adds an option to your right click context menu and you can choose to run a program in Japanese locale. Saves the trouble of changing your entire system and you only use it when you want to.

 

If you don't want to change your PC or use any third party stuff...well then you just can't play the game. Its an old game built on an old engine. Its barely held together with duct tape and string at this point. There was talk of porting it to a newer RPGM engine without all the need for this stuff but I'm almost certain that fell apart years ago.

If you wanna play VH, and you definitely should, its one of the OG hentai game and still one of the best out there, then you should look around to join their Discord. It's still being worked on and a new version is coming too.

Its a matter of time before that Mega get taken down like the other before.
