(and downloads do not work)

 

When I last tried to play this game, a bulk of it was still untranslated (and the translate mechanisms were not working for me), and that left me falling into "game rapidly becomes unplayable" pit, so it probably needs to cook for a while yet. But... now you know.

I can't seem to replicate the error. Have you download a lot from mega during a 30 day period? I vaguely remember something about a limit...

 

In regards to the translation - I actually heard they finished translating it in late last year. So now they just bug fix (and there's still numerous bugs), and will only translate if the Japanese guys create new content. 

 

If it doesn't work I can look for another file site.

Looks great. From a legal stand point there shouldn't be anything in the way for creating a complete folder. The game is considered "Open source" to my best knowledge, and even a copyleft requirement wouldn't procure a problem unless you charged for the patch and complete folder.

So, i follow all the directions, but the download file "translate" does not have any game applications. just a bunch of files saying, "VH_170722_translated_V3" and things like that. plus, there are only 6 files in the whole thing. is there anything i can do to resolve this issue?

"VH_170722_translated_V3" that should be a zip file with the game in it the file RPG_RT should be in that folder and it should start the game if you put your systems locale to Japanese

These files? well, when i try to open them with 7-zip, nothing happens.

Yes, those files are archive folders, it is possible that it isn't supported by 7Zip, so try it with winrar instead

It actually says "7Z File" in the "Type" column. Learn to work with computers, it's helpful for more things than lewds.

And not sorry if that sounds condescending, if you are determined enough to find something like VH, you should be determined enough to figure out how to UNZIP a file. That's, like, the most basic of the basics, right after opening a web browser.

I like how everyone just collectively agreed they're called moonrunes. I wonder who started it though...

The latest version was simply too old in contrast to the latest work, so I took the liberty to add the translators latest (but not completed) work to the 180318 version.

 

There is as usual no change log, so how the game has evolved since last year is anyone's guess - the wiki not being too updated either...

 

I also took the liberty of making the folder a bit more easy-to-use'ish.

So, all was looking good and working well until I tried walking into the Adventurer's Guild, when I got the error message shown in the picture attached.  Interestingly, this error did not occur when I loaded the same save in the Fatal Mix 2010 program.  Does anybody have a similar issue or solutions?

I've come to understand this is caused by a memory leak. Sadly, I don't have any idea how to fix it either.

okay so i just found this game and i did a bit of googling but im still not sure about alot of stuff about this game is it still being updated and translated? what do you mean prepach download does that mean someones patching it and we cant download it? Its been years so if it is done why does the wiki still talk about undevolped areas?

If anyone can answer that be great thanks

The game is still being updated and translated. (The last update was 03-13-2018).

Scroll up, read the wiki.

Also there's a thread on 8ch that's a bit more active than this thread, though it's hard to filter the relevant information from all the trolling and stuff.

 

tl;dr: Game is in development, don't know how active the translators are. It is theoretically possible to apply the latest translation (for an earlier game build) to the current game build, but that potentially breaks the game. Or maybe the current game build is buggy. From what I've read the original developers don't even provide a changelog, so if you don't have a crystal ball you will never acquire a deeper understanding of the meta-game.
