For some reason Firefox disabled all my addons and Kaspersky Internet antivirus marking them as out dated. Well, I reinstalled fresh version of FF and when I tried to install some addblocks programs for other sites it doesn't let me. Please, see the picture. My connection is all right and it works. Does anyone knows what is happening because I couldn't find the answer to my problem?Thank you.

Here is the info on the issue:
http://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/

They call it "Armagaddon 2.0" ?

Shall be resolved soon I guess?

Here is a quick fix: https://storage.googleapis.com/moz-fx-normandy-prod-addons/extensions/hotfix-update-xpi-intermediate%40mozilla.com-1.0.2-signed.xpi

there is a setting in "About:config", called "xpinstall.signatures.required". Double-click on it's name so that the value is set to "false".

Quote

1. Type about:config in the browser's address bar and hit enter. This loads Firefox's main configuration page.

2. Confirm the warning prompt if it appears.

3. Search for the preference xpinstall.signatures.required.

4. Double-click on it to toggle its value to false.

damn, this is so fucking frustrating. FF screwed up this time very badly.

Thank you guys for trying to help but whatever I do, the fix doesn't want to install. I'm logging off before I get very pissed of on FF.

You guys rock for being so agile to help. Thanks.

It's probably a google cheap tactic to try to prevent people from blocking their spam ads and other worthless crap they spam everywhere. I use stands blocker for chrome and one of the addons for it they have a warning this extension violates the chrome web store policy. Where I say well tough titty to you I'm still going to use it.

I tried everything, even opening the fix link in new window. Fucking FF doesn't let me install new addons and doesn't fix old one. So here is the final answer for this issue: It's fucking BUG.

https://www.ghacks.net/2019/05/04/your-firefox-extensions-are-all-disabled-thats-a-bug/

The issue can only be resolved on Mozilla's end. The organization needs to renew the certificate or create a new one to resolve the issue. I'd expect Mozilla to do that soon as the issue is widespread and affecting lots of Firefox users.

Only works on mobile nightly builds.

This is a cert failure on Mozilla's end.

No, no it didn't. It enabled the permissions, it didn't actively allow the extensions to block generated code after a page was loaded and processed through or allow the extensions to actually run correctly, particularly Noscript and anything affecting HTML5 codecs/encoding.

"Works for me" is not a thing, and never will be a thing.

Switching off that faulty certificate check in about:config is only the first step, if you already got hit by them.

Spoiler

xpinstall.signatures.required;false

If you already got hit, whenever you restart your browser

about:debugging

=> load add-on temporary ... from your profile folder

One by one.

Annoying, but it's just to survive the weekend. :classic_ph34r:

They are rolling out a hotfix via their studies system (we continue to refuse to partake) for a few hours right now and (hopefully) they can make a proper fix and release it later today/tomorrow.

If some of anybody's add-ons were privacy or security related, I strongly advise NOT to use the internet WITHOUT them!

Update: FF upgraded itself and my add-ons completely recovered. Thank goodness.
