TheUnsaid Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Game fps drops every time I have sex with Sexlab. So at first the game is stable at 60fps. When I have sex for the first time, I guess the overhead is large enough that I stay at 60fps. After the second time, the fps is now at around 58. After the third time it's in the high 40s. This reeks of memory leak. None of my other mods are causing lag. If I disable all sexlab related mods the game runs at 60 fps at a stable rate. I have Sexlab, Sexlab Aroused, Sexlab Eager NPCs, Sexlab Seperate Orgasms, Sexlab Defeat and TDF aroused rape, OK! So I did a bit more testing. I uninstalled Sexlab Eager NPCs, and Seperate Orgasms. The problem still persists. If I uninstall Sexlab aroused my game just crashes so... I'm trying to avoid that.

Guest Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 No significant errors in your log. Looks like it is not a problem of the Papyrus VM (no stack dumps.) If you experience FPS drop, then save and reload, are you still having low FPS or it goes back to normal?

As an aside though, I do recommend that you upgrade your More Nasty Critters to the newer SLAL version. I know that you have the old version because it is still loading SexLab Nude Creatures. If you are not in the habit of carefully reading instructions I strongly suggest that you make an exception for this mod. It is not difficult but it is particular. While I was fortunate to not need it, MadMansGun has kindly mad an install guide (separately) if you get stuck. Also, and strictly out of curiosity, I would like to see your FNIS output. If you choose to humor me this is a simple "cut and paste" operation. Just run FNIS. Copy everything that FNIS generates (this should start with a description of your skeleton and end with the number of mods that you have successfully installed). Once you've copied it just paste it here.

So it's still not resolved. I remember XP32 giving me a similar issue and I was banging my head over it until I switched to XP32 extend. Maybe XP32 extend has the same issue, but is less noticeable or something?

This... this is giving me a headache XD It doesn't seem like a big deal, but after having sex 3 times, I'd rather not have to restart the game.

Do you have: SKSE Memory Patch Crash Fixes 12 Enb in Boost mode BethIni All available on Nexus. Since they help with how the game runs (think oil for your car) they may give you what you need.

Yes I have all of those. I especially like Crash Fixes making the loading single threaded to avoid the crashing race condition. I definitely bought this game legally. The only thing I didn't have was BethINI. I just downloaded it and it seemed to be a simple way to edit the game's INI files. Basically from what I can gather from everyone's opinions it seems there's no fixing this. I just have to make sure my Skyrim has enough overhead to handle the slowdown caused by Sexlab. This is kind of sad. I have a GTX 1080. I didn't think I'd be struggling on this game at all tbqh. Maybe I should get Special Edition.

That is the source of your warning and is absolutely nothing to worry about. I've had it for years and refuse to run it through Steam as a matter of principle. If you have 8GB of RAM and 4GB of VRAM and your game is set up and configured correctly, then it should run that load order without any great problems. All this changing and testing you have been doing here, have you been starting a new game each time or using a save? You need to be starting a new game each time you change things so do yourself a favour and install Alternate Start LAL. I would go back and double-check all settings and configs for Crash Fixes and ENBoost etc. Just my opinion but all those Wenches mods are big, resource using mods which aren't doing anything most of the time. Oh, and switching to SSE wont change anything except that you will be making your mistakes in 64-bit. If you think that SSE is the last word in problem-free gaming then browse the tech support section over there.

Every single time, a sexlab animation starts and ends, the FPS will invariably drop. I do not think it has anything to do with the wenches or any of the other mods I've installed, as this problem doesn't exist if I choose not to have sex.

Put another way, if the sex act animation plays out at the correct speed, i.e with no lag or stutter, what has FPS got to do with it?

The problem becomes when the FPS drops to 40, then to 30, and then even further down. I can't have long play sessions because of it. If I play for 1.5 hours, boom I've hit the limit. The game will now lag like nobody's business.

I know that SSE has fewer mods, and I do miss Ayasato and NCK's animations, but outside of that, no problem. The game looks better, and runs much better. If anyone's having lag spikes in Legendary Edition I highly recommend getting Special Edition.

No. I encountered a problem, and dealt with it in every reasonable manner, resorting to only using the boards when I was at my wits end. Sadly the boards couldn't pinpoint the issue either, and I've heard that Skyrim Legendary Edition running on modern systems can have issues. Maybe new drivers are causing it. I do not think the issue was anything I did on my end as doing the exact same things on SSE resulted in a game w/o the issue.

Can you guarantee you did the 'exact same things'? Perhaps this time you didn't make a mistake you made last time or this time you installed things in a different order. Consider this: thousands(?) of us use the same Sexlab setup as you were using but you were the only person reporting this problem.

My game was running so smooth, even my rig (i3-3200, 750 TI, 16 gig dd3) I know it's ancient, BUT it can pull off SSE pretty well around constant 40 fps at reasonable settings + I went through the whole performance guide . I have ~120 mods installed. Here's how it goes, I start a new game (with Sexlab installed), start doing quests (for example - in my recent playthrough just hours back I became archmage), when to Riverrun to "break" a 3 way relationship Sexlab Solutions Style. And that's all she wrote.... The lag started, crazy lag from 45 fps to 4-5 fps. This is my 6th play through now, I installed the game last week + followed videos and guides and everything related to performance from Google. The recent playthrough was the maximum I played before the lag started happening. In my previous trials, go to white run, do companion quest and BANG lag starts if my PC starts having sex. Since my first playthrough I have been debugging this like crazy, I backtrack all my mods installing, uninstalling and checking what is causing the problem. Run FNIS at regular intervals. First I thought it's SLAL as I had around 9k animations. Removed Sexlab completely, started a new game. Methodically started installing Sexlab back again 1 plugin at a time run the game for few minutes have sex with randomly, everything went fine until I was at Labrinth or something to fetch that Super Mage Staff - I DIDNT EVEN TRIGGER ANY SEXLAB RELATED EVENT, lag started. I swear, with such a steady playthrough I didn't even touch the Load Order or MO2. I rebooted the game and it was running smooth till I became archmage and went to break a 3 way relationship at Riverrun and the horror started once my pc had sex. As caution, I made sure I saved at regular intervals, but guess what? Non of them are safe now...no matter how back I go and load the game. My PC have sex and BAAM GOD OF LAG STARTS. My guess? Papyrus Utilities might be the bad dog (humor me) here. I am exhausted (been gaming since 12 hours now) AND quite frustrated as well, I hope you guys are keeping safe from the shit that's happening in the world. Will check back tomorrow, see if the divines have answered my prayers. I will report back after a good 8 hour sleep with my Papyrus logs. -J Oh and PS - Didn't post my load order as I don't know how to do the Spoiler thingy...be a lamb and please tell me how do I tag spoilers?
