Bluticus Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Whenever I use the Estrus shout on a target, they just stand there with idle animations and nothing else happens. The facial animations and voice all play, but all that happens is this. It's the same for custom characters and vanilla NPCs alike. Spoiler As for FNIS, all I see is this: Spoiler
Alpia Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Well only thing one can say with that information is the obvious, you didnt install estrus correctly as fnis doesnt find any animation files and therefore you also dont have any animations in the game. I can only assume you use MO? (otherwise there is no reason to use fnis 32bit) IF you use MO use the video guide or read the installation guide on the FNIS site on how to launch FNIS with MO. If you use MO and you dont launch fnis correctly out of MO fnis obviously cant find any files as with MO nothing lays within the data folder of skyirm. If you dont use MO well with the information we have as said one can only say you didnt install estrus correctly and fnis cant find files to use.
Bluticus Posted December 8, 2018 Author Posted December 8, 2018 I use the new installer Vortex, I guess that was what caused the issue?
Bluticus Posted December 8, 2018 Author Posted December 8, 2018 I've manually added the Data files from the Estrus mod into the Data file in Skyrim, but for some reason my FNiS still cannot detect the animations from the Estrus mod.
Dorabella Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Spoiler FNIS has not identified which update is Skyrim, 1.9.32 is required for Estrus and has not identified it: game to be updated? FNIS has not identified XPMS or XPMSE, missing mod? It can also be irrelevant To be correctly launched, FNIS must put two checkpoints: one on GENDER and the other on SKELETON
donttouchmethere Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 from what I read from your FNIS output, it seems estrus isn't your issue FNIS can't detect your skyrim version and wont install any animations because of this
Bluticus Posted December 8, 2018 Author Posted December 8, 2018 I checked my version of Skyrim, it is indeed 1.9.32 Spoiler FNiS worked fine for me when I installed ZaZ's Animation Pack, not sure why it can't detect my game version.
Bluticus Posted December 8, 2018 Author Posted December 8, 2018 Okay, I think I fixed it. Turns out I just had to start up FNiS from the Vortex Dashboard. Thanks for the help, pardon my idiocy. ?

Thanks for the help, pardon my idiocy. ? The new vortex is similar to Mod Organizer and uses a virtual directory without installing anything into the skyrim folders it just links to the mods folder were the mods are stored without them beeing in the skyrim data folder. Thats why you need to launch external applications that you want to work with skyrim via vortex as otherwise those programs cant find the necessary files due as said the virtual data folder, like for example fnis, but also tesVedit, bodyslide etc. so if you install a "mod" that includes a external application you need to launch them from vortex as you noticed yourself. Those mods usually also have a extra install guide for use with MO or Vortex.

The skeleton arm fix is the only one needed for the vast majority of users. The OP has a problem with his skeleton. Probably something has overwritten it. It should show female: XPMS2HDT (115 bones) and the same for male.

Fnis for LE had a 64bit version aswell on previous versions.... he removed the download for it with version 7.4 due peoples confusion (see quote below or just look on the fnis site yourself).... Though I have to admit I didnt remember there is only a 32bit download for the recent versions. Quote Release of FNIS (LE) as 32bit applications only (too much hazzle for many users to decide between FNIS 32/64 bit) Also his issue has already been solved the OP doesnt have a problem with the skeleton as Estrus doesnt require xpmse or other custom skeletons.... OP simply uses vortex and didnt launch FNIS through Vortex like you have to, same as with MO as he stated himself therefore even if he has a custom skeleton installed (which isnt required for estrus according to his requirments post) FNIS simply cant recognize it if not launched via Vortex. You waffling about previous versions of FNIS is irrelevant as the OP is clearly using version 3.4.5. What 64-bit applications would these be in a 32-bit game? I never said that this was a problem with his skeleton. I mentioned the skeleton because a: Lestat repated the nonsense about needing the gender patch ticked and b: 99% of people use the XPMSE skeleton and it should read 115 bones. If the OP is using that skeleton then there is something wrong which will cause problems elsewhere. Well it seems that humble NMM has the advantage over MO and Vortex. I frequently run FNIS from the desktop shortcut. Strange that FNIS puts a shortcut there if you can't use it.

AS ALREADY SAID FNIS in previous versions and AS ALSO SAID I made the mistake to forget the 64bit version got removed, also bodyslide which you (like previous fnis) cant fucking launch without error with MO using the wrong version.... the games architetecture has nothing to do with external applications that dont even run along nor hook into the game like those mentioned.... Quote Well it seems that humble NMM has the advantage over MO and Vortex. I frequently run FNIS from the desktop shortcut. Strange that FNIS puts a shortcut there if you can't use it. My god you ****** you act entitled while you only talk crap.... yes strange because FNIS doesnt create a shortcut... FNIS has no installer that even could create a shortcut on the installation.... Also again... vortex and MO use a virtual directory which only links to the mods folders which are not actually installed the regular way. Therefore FNIS if not launched within said virtual directory cant find anything as there basicly is nothing besides links... and its not a advantage to just use a diffrent shortcut.... whatever peope like you annoy the heck out of me not only do you have no idea about the diffrent modding methods because you never even tried to inform yourself about something else then NMM you dont even see that you lack knowledge in that topic.... If you dont understand the advantages of a virtual directory you are ..... whatever.... wasted enough time on you consider yourself ignored your comments from begin on where utterly pointless as OP already fixed his problem and beises the gender stuff from the other guy tried to correct something that doesnt need correction. Thats why you can now proudly consider yourself part of my ignored user list which only one other person on this site made it to congrats. bye and read a bit about modding with MO and Vortex before you try to spout shit.
Grey Cloud Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Try not to get hysterical. "When you exit GenerateFNISforUsers.exe, you will be asked if a shortcut to the tool shall be created on your desktop. Say "YES" when installing MANUALLY (STRONGLY recommended - you will need the generator quite frequently) Say "Abort" when installing through NMM or MO." - Readme.txt in the FNIS folder. So it appears I was only half-right. It is only a manual install which gives the shortcut. 18 minutes ago, Deoxyribonucleic_acid said: Also again... vortex and MO use a virtual directory I know that and never implied otherwise. I merely said that NMM appears to have the advantage in this particular issue. 20 minutes ago, Deoxyribonucleic_acid said: If you dont understand the advantages of a virtual directory you are How is this relevant? Electric Aether Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 Also having the same problem Even started FNIS from vortex dashboard
Ldab Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 I've had to reinstall thanks to a hard drive crash and now the animations for any custom mod aren't working at all. With the Estrus mod casting a spell like the screen shot at the top the victim just stands there naked in the idle animation state. I have run FNIS and everything looks good and MO looks like this Anyone have any ideas I have tried doing a basic installation of SexLab and get the some kind of problem the anims just aren't working even if FNIS says it's generated the anims. Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Grey Cloud Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Everything does not look god with FNIS. For starters the skeleton should show 115 bones. Not related to your problem per se but you do not need the GENDER specific animations box ticked. It clearly states that you have No GENDER directory male and the same for female. I don't use MO but I would suggest you double-check you have FNIS correctly set up to work with MO.

You want the XPMSE skeleton found here: When you go to download it the LE version is the top one.
Ldab Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Thanks for the replies. I'll try the download and get back to you with a result.
Ldab Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Ok I've turned off the tick boxes in FNIS and installed the file as suggested including the other requirements HDT Physics Extensions RaceMenu But I'm still getting 99 bones in FNIS and no animations. FNIS Behavior V7.5 04/11/2019 16:27:00 Skyrim 32bit: 1.9.32.0 - D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam) Skeleton(hkx) female: Default (99 bones) male: Default (99 bones) Reading FNISBase V7.5 ... Reading FNISCreatureVersion V6.1 ... Reading zzEstrus V2.30 ... All Anim Lists scanned. Generating Behavior Files... Alternate Animation mods: 1 sets: 4 total groups: 8 added file slots: 52 alternate files: 12 Create Creature Behaviors ... 254 animations for 3 mods successfully included (character) Any reason why I'm getting the lower bone count after installing the extended skeleton. The files were installed Through MO.
Ldab Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 It's probably worth mentioning that my Skyrim is an original with the DLC installed do I need a patch to make it the Legendary Edition?. The Skeleton file is also out of date a newer one is available. I've installed that version 4.6 and still get 99 bones in FNIS.
