Mod looks fantastic so far, Ive treid to use the SE port of it but after im off the search for the amulet the distance is -246473768 whereever i go.  Sadly i have to turn off this mod at the moment. does anyone know of anything that is conflicting with this or maybe its because its incomplete for SE? ive also tried using addmenue from the mod and even with the "right item" in hand the quest dont advance.

That's strange, could it be it's located in Solstheim island?

If the distance never changes, that indicates that it's in a different world area.  As Zaflis suggested, it might be in Solstheim (or another DLC-added world space like Dayspring Canyon, the area surrounding Fort Dawnguard).  You could use the COC command to move to Solstheim or other world spaces to check if the distance decreases.

SE or AE? If you're AE grab the right DLL as well as the SE conversion. I have 1.6.353 and 1.6.640 on the previous page.

For the record, for me this mod worked until I got within like 3000 something to the mark then I stopped getting hot/cold messages, I looked all around the area couldn't find her without the messages and gave up, went to an earlier save. This was on SE.

update: tried searching all dlc "off Main world" and even SD+ Dreamworld, the marker still stays on-246473768  but the other quest where i have to fight his slave worked and triggered accordingly.

Make sure you have the right dll installed for your game version. The hot/cold tracking is a dll function.

Your character is locked in heavy restraints at the start of the run.  The first picture on the mod page is an example.  Unless your character is pretty powerful or has a good way to escape, you might find the challenge to be more than you wanted.

thank you for this. ive been trying to find a few other mods like se version for asset with no avail it may be like this one and at the very back of the thread

Hello everyone,

thanks for the mod to everyone that worked or documented it.

 

The quest to find the trinket started for me and worked for hours greate, but now the messages/notifications/shocks/vibs about hot/cold/distance just stopped.

I do not know what to do next. I don't see a way to find the trinket and I did not get a message that I faild and should return to the mill.

 

I am kind of lost. Any tipp how to start the notifications again or how to continue?

PS: Wen't to an old save-file with working messages/notifications/shocks/vibs and used console-commands to teleport and found the trinket. Then returned to me current save-file and teleported there too and the trinket is waiting there even without the messages/notifications/shocks/vibs. So ... I got around the problem for now ... but a real solution would have been more fun to play.

Got kidnapped and have to get an item. Item is in Silus Vesuius' house in Danwstar and I haven't gotten the invitation to Dawnstar Museum yet. The door to his house is unpickable, not that it matters because the girl has mittens on anyway.

 

Not sure how much work it would involve, but excluding places unlocked by quests would be nice.

removing this from my mod list, the vampire slave doesn't have anything to say once i find her. so no way to get the trinket, i tried attacking. she has a ton of health so thats a no go.

After this mod came up in the discussion, @ponzipyramid brilliantly deduced that this mod's SKSE DLL can be fully replaced by PO3's Papyrus Extender without much tweaking, so here it is.

 

I've replaced the old internal native function call to the ObjectReference linked_door = PO3_SKSEFunctions.GetDoorDestination(akDoor)

Don't think the THWskse file is needed now, as I've deleted it's import from that one place it was being called, but I attached a tweaked version of it, just in case.
 

Get PO3 Extender, overwrite the 2 files in the scripts folder (optionally, overwrite sources too, but that's not really needed), and disable (either delete or hide it with mo2) the DLL file from THW.

 

Oh, and make backups!

I've been away for a week or two so I'm catching up on things, but I think you left off something important in your post... why do we want to replace this mods SKSE DLL?

Mostly for when next time mr Howard updates the game, we'll let mr Powerofthree worry about making their DLL compatible, and don't have to rely on someone from LL recompiling the native THW one.

The updated DLL and the original mod.  I'd really recommend ditching the DLL though (delete it from the original mod) and going with the no DLL replacer krzp attached on this page. Makes this mod "Todd proof" if there's another update to skyrim.

The trigger area is large.  If you fast traveled to the location, you might not have activated the trigger.  From outside the trigger area, enter on foot, notice that no one is there, and walk away.

That is, I need to walk around the perimeter of the trigger area?  Whether to run into the area, and.  if no one appeared to run out?  And so repeat until it appears?

Can mean that it you need to visit a different world space. Like solsthiem. Basically, it can't be found in the world space you are currently in. That number is supposed to count down the closer you get to the target as a like "hotter... hotter... colder..." style of tracking.
