TecQueen Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 When I try to open the game. It does not even open, Not even to the Bethesda logo. It seems like it might be what it shows in the picture. Sexlab not recognizing the SkyUI. Loot doesn't show anything wrong and FNIS loads all the animations fine. I just can't figure it out. This is first time with Vortex So I'm not quite used to it. If anyone could help, I appreciate it and thanks in advance.

As GenioMaestro says, if you don't even get to the main screen your problem is almost always a missing master. I would encourage you to run LOOT to verify that you have everything you need. If that isn't the problem please post your entire load order (preferably in a spoiler and preferably from LOOT). If you have any question about how far you have to go in the loading process before you consider other problems please see my blog.

That was what I was doing while you were writing this XD It doesn't show any esp need on any of them.

As WaxenFigure pointed out recently to someone on another thread (Slaverun Reloaded maybe), all mods on LoversLab should be considered to require all the DLCs even if they are not listed.

On the bar across where you type (where it says, size, font, B, etc.) there is an icon of an eye (just to the right of the smiling Emoji face). When you press that you get a spoiler like this: Spoiler ? You can then use your mouse to move the cursor inside the box and place (or type) whatever you like inside. I just gave you an emoji smiling face but you can put load order and other long lists in there. It prevents bloat on the threads.

Can you post your load order from LOOT (inside a spoiler)? You can export it using the icon on the right side of the blue bar that looks like 3 vertical dots or buttons. And, not to be picky, just to be clear, you are saying that when you load your game you do not see the main screen because it makes a BIG difference.

No when I hit the SKSE exe, It shows up on my task manager for 2 seconds and then goes away. So it doesn't even want to load. screen doesn't even go black. I know it works because I always run through the beginning of the game when I load the game. I just got new computer so decided reload skyrim. first time using vortex.

Nice work with the spoiler by the way. The best clue is the one that you pointed out at the beginning. It appears that SexLab, which does require SkyUI is not recognizing the version you have, You are likely going to have to delete and reload both (although you can try them one at a time if you prefer), Remember to run LOOT and FNIS after reloading. (If I was a betting man, and I'm not, I'd bet the problem is with SkyUI somehow. Normally LOOT loads SkyUI right after the .esm files - or at least very close, and yours is down further than I'm used to seeing it. You may want to double check that you didn't accidentally load the SE version instead of the LE version).

And as I say - 'that's bollocks'. It may have been true back in the day. It's more likely memory, the lack thereof. If I've been messing about and jumping in and out of the game it often gets to the stage where it fails to load and bombs out to the desktop. Fuck all to do with missing masters or anything else. Give it a minute or two and try again and I'm in game. How can a Master go missing? Edit: It's not 'missing Master(s) otherwise LOOT would have 'Errors 1' (or more). The question to ask is whether the game loaded prior to installing Vortex. Edit: Apparantly so. The smart money (mine) goes on user error (game incorrectly set up) or Vortex. So, double-check you have SKSE and all else confibulated properly. If problem persists consult Vortex forums.

So I changed it and now it works without the mods. I still want to say its the mods or it would of said that too when I booted it up with the mods. So going take some time and do one mod at a time. I will leave a message once I got it done.

And before you restart your game you need to get rid of the old version of More Nasty Critters that you have and replace it with the new version (for SLAL - SexLab Animation Loader). If you don't you'll just be back on her tomorrow asking why you keep getting CTDs in certain locations. When you do make the change follow the directions carefully. If you do you will be happy with the results.

The ones similar but for standard don't look as smooth as that one.:) I believe I do have the newer version. I downloaded it yesterday.

Couldn't get that to work. ) now when I try use the prostitution mod. I missed the nexus where it just copy over the file. Just hard installing everything in the right order>.> I think this was half of the time I un-installed Skyrim. Despite the efforts of many fine and intelligent people I still use NMM. MO and Wrye Bash are too complicated for my purposes. I expect that when they work the wrinkles out I'll likely switch over to Vortex. But for now I am unable to see the benefits of change. If you have questions about Vortex there is a thread specifically for that which is "pinned" at the top of the list of technical threads. Fastest way to get to it is to go to the top of this page to just below where it says LoversLab. It will say Home>Skyrim>Skyrim Technical Support> Your Topic. Click where it says Skyrim Technical Support and the Vortex thread is at the top of the list. And no, I'm not trying to get rid of you just trying to give you a source for more information. ?
