Problem with ENB

So the title says it all I have a problem with ENB for some reason if I have ENB installed the game will crash immediatly upon loading a save or going into another loadscreen after a new game.
I have no Idea what might be causing this and it works just fine without ENB.

EDIT: If you think it's a problem with the mods I have installed please don't even start because this also happens on a skyrim with only ENB and SKSE

Does that mean that the game is trying to load indoors area?

In ENBlocal.ini check this:

ExpandSystemMemoryX64
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks

It should be set to false.

Yeah both are set to false in the ENBlocal.ini the problem still appears

It doesn't even seem to really get into the loading process it just insta CTDs the second it hits a loading screen unless that loading screen is for a new game. No matter if it's an indoor area or the open world.

And when it is a new game, how much time is spent before CTD occur ? Does it crash after 3+ mins or after the dragon attack and going into dungeon indoors ?

It ONLY crashes upon loading screens it doesn't seem to cause a CTD in other cases so yeah when going into the Dungeon

Maybe you have a problem in the ini files of the game.

You can make a security copy of yours ini files and delete it.

Launch the game for autogenerate new INI files and see if the problem persist.

If the problem is inside the ini files can use BethIni for try correct it.

Open BethIni and select ENB Mode and Recomended Tweaks. Press High or Ultra and save/exit.

Maybe is a problem inside the INI files of ENB.

Rename or delete enblocal.ini and try again.

Reinstall the last version of ENB.

In last, look the dll's in the skyrim folder.

Maybe you have some trash from others graphical injectors or others tools.

I have to ask, do you have Windows 10? Using an ENB is more complicated if you do. GenioMaestro was kind enough to give me a reference to a "how to" guide if that is the case.

Yes I am. Thanks for that. Sadly tho that didn't help. I tried everything on that list and it behaves exactly the same as before.

Sometimes the obvious is not the right thing.
Are you sure that ENB is the problem?
Or is it possible that ENB in conjunction with other mods "just overflow the barrel"?

Do you have a list of mods and a Payrus.log that could help us?

It could be that something like that is the case. And the problem only occurs with ENB installed I'll attach my load order thought the mod list from MO might be even better in a spoiler so you can see for yourself but the game is not as heavily modded it even worked before I changed some of my hardware about half a year ago I didn't play it afterwards but since I set up everything new I can only imagine that the problem lies maybe with the hardware changes or the fact that due to faulty hardware I had to change my perviously upgraded Win7 to 10 to a genuine Win10 which apparently is different.

Also don't have a papyrus log need to enable it and post it afterwards.

EDIT: Not so fun fact, Papyrus doesn't create a log on this CTD...

Oops ...
I do not use Mod Manager, but have you ever checked your loading order?
At least with LOOT - is not omniscient - but better than what I see.

Logging of Papyrus is disabled by default.

In Libaries\Documents\MyGames\Skyrim is the Skyrim.ini.
No idea - with Mod Manager - somewhere else.

In this ini is a paragraph
[Papyrus]

and here this should be logging for:

bEnableLogging = 1

I enabled the papyrus logs and tried it multiple times. Also the above is not my load order it's my mod list. This is my load order:

I'm sorry.

Since I manage my mods myself and use neither NMM nor MO, maybe someone who needs these tools can help.

I do not know if MO for Saves, Logs, etc. has its own folder (have you already looked in the profile folder?) or if MO stores the ini-files separately.

Posted

No MO doesn't store the papyrus files or those ini files separately it only stores the stuff that would go into the data folder separately and stores that somewhere else.

Try this:

Start Skyrim.

In Main Menu -> Open Console (left of 1, ~ or with german keyboard ^)

Enter this Line: coc qasmoke

Now, the Test cell should be loadet.

Here  - in the Test cell - press ESC and load a Savegame.

If the Test cell not load - we have a big problem.

Here is what you need to do to enable Papyrus logging. Go to Skyrim.ini and open it in Notepad (or similar). In the long list of things found there you should see a section that lookss like this:

[Papyrus]
bEnableLogging=0
bEnableProfiling=0
bEnableTrace=0
bLoadDebugInformation=0
fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=2.0
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=2000
fUpdateBudgetMS=2.0
iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=115200
iMaxMemoryPageSize=1024
iMinMemoryPageSize=256

While I have read it many different ways (on the internet) I recommend that you set each of the first three settings to 1 (instead of 0). Now you should have a log when you get another crash. Make a note of what you've done though. When everything is better you'll want to go back and change it to 0 again since logging tends to strain the crummy Bugthesda engine.

Your sure?

bEnableProfiling=0

I think,

bEnableProfiling=1

is better. ;)

Yes, I'm sure that all 3 of those listed above (Including the one you pointed out) should be turned to one (as I mentioned - change three).

If the OP is uncomfortable in his .ini files he could also download Bethini (from Nexus). It will control the .ini files for you. At a click of the mouse you can turn papyrus logging on and off.

I already enabled them just to make sure but still followed your instructions, it still doesn't create a log

Also I tried going into the test hall but since that causes a loading screen same result: CTD

As I just posted - try using Bethini (it will also help if your problem is elsewhere in your .ini files). Just make sure to enable logging. I'm surprised to hear that it hasn't worked for you. I've turned it on and off many times without problems.

In my computer the logs are located here:

C:\Users\Owner\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Logs\Script

A shot in the blue:

Reinstall XPMSE - let it override (if prompted)
Then run FNIS - from MO, logically.
Then start Skyrim using SKSE launcher, also from MO.

And make sure that MO, FNIS, SKSE, etc. all have ADMIN rights.
If it does not work, we will continue to watch, but now I need some sleep - until then.

MO doesn't have a need to overwrite just to set priorities since it doesn't actually put the mods into a physical data folder where they overwrite each.

So that doesn't change anything.

Tried it since programs usually make less errors then people if they're good written and well logs still don't happen for whatever reason ENB totally and completely fucks up my entire skyrim and everything associated with it -__- and it's even a complete fresh install from just 2 days ago so that doesn't help either
