There seem to be a couple of issues when I'm waiting in the cage the last time and I have to keep saving and loading - but otherwise, a brilliantly performed mod. Papyrus logs can be found in:

Not familiar with those, but I'll take a look; thanks! Edit: Sadly, that didn't work. But commands with click referenced objects don't always work right in Skyrim VR. Not sure why. What version of Skyrim are you running? SE or LE? Does it work without the voice addon?

VR release (which is SE). I've never tried the quests without the voice addon. I've done a clean install of the game and mods, and started from a clean save. Fewer mods as well. I'll retry the Laura quests this weekend and report back. The clean install has resulted in a lot less "funny behavior " in the game so far, so it's possible it could have been a mod conflict Edited December 16, 2022 by Allen Harris

Alright I got past it. Basically, I shot Laura with destruction magic once (not much, just to ... "tease" her a bit lol). They went aggro, and I ran away. When I came back, they weren't aggro anymore, and the dialog continued. I think dialog is the issue - I saw a few places where dialog wasn't triggering, and I had to do things like quick save and reload to get them to trigger. It probably would work better with Fuz Roh D'oh - but there's no VR compile of that which I know of, and the flat version doesn't work in VR. Anyway - summed up, I got it working. Thanks for the mod - it's really great work, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

You should have said you weren't using all the requirements. For future reference, the mod author develops for LE. She does not work in SE at all. There are a few of us who then convert the mod to SE and test/troubleshoot that. SE fixes are then backported to LE, and, if they work, they are incorporated into the LE build. Which is then converted back to SE and tested again. What this means: LE is the official build. The author will make fixes to things that cause SE bugs If and only if that does not break the LE build. And VR is not even on her radar. We'll still try to help with VR, but if mod requirements such as Fuz are not available on VR then there is not much we can do. 1

I actually didn't think about that -> Fuz was installed in my previous loadout, but it never loaded correctly. So when I reinstalled everything yesterday, I didn't include it. That's my bad for not checking specs, but I had a lot of mods I had to run to get everything running and this one just slipped my mind. *To be fair though* - I never even knew Fuz Roh Doh wasn't loading correctly until I switched to VMM. Skyrim doesn't tell you, and I'm not as well versed in mod debugging as most of you. 1

It's a bit awkward with Fuz even on the regular SE/AE builds, because you have to use a specific version for your Skyrim and they're not labelled, but if you check the change log in the mod's description it tells you which version of Fuz pairs with which version of Skyrim. I don't think lacking Fuz would break your quests, if voice files have been recorded, so I would assume that (if Fuz is the problem) when you're having issues, the voice pack didn't include those lines (or the dialogue was changed since the voice pack was released).

It didn't break the quests - it just "hiccupped" and made me have to save and reload once in a while (during dialog events). I'm actually surprised - ever since I got the voice files addon (and I assume also since Laura's updates), except for a few hiccups like that, everything works swimmingly. Does anyone know if it's a cliffhanger after Sloane shows up in Laura's shop? I don't get a new quest after that.

What version of LBS are you using? For SE you should be using the 3.32 Alpha Test version from page 207. Edited December 17, 2022 by aurreth

It's so darned difficult to find that sort of thing if you're not like reading every page of the topic lol SOOOO...good news and bad news. Good news is I found a Fuz Roh D'oh VR port on Reddit (I don't particularly like downloading from untrusted sources, but it was the only port I could find) And it did fix the dialog problem. Bad News: When I'm Sloane's slave and I'm supposed to be somebody's "entertainment"...I freeze in place, act like I'm walking, and don't go anywhere. Nothing fixes it that I can figure. BTW, in case it needs to be said - thanks to all the users on here who've been helpful to me. This may have ended (for now) in a bug, but the trip to get here has been a lot of fun. I couldn't have figured any of it out without help lol

Nothing fixes it that I can figure. That's the Doran bug, he's usually lying paralyzed on the floor outside the bedroom. Only fix is to use the console to disable/enable him. I came up with a theoretical fix for that, but it didn't make it into 3.32 Alpha Test. Laura is implementing it in the next version. (If you want to do it yourself, the fix is to create a second Doran, Doran2, place him in the mod holding cell, then change the main quest script in the right places and all the scenes in Sloane's house to use Doran2 instead of Doran. I couldn't figure out how to edit the scenes.) Edited December 18, 2022 by aurreth 1

Open the console again and click on him, then disable (he disappears) and enable (he reappears), then tfc again to deactivate free cam. 1. Open Console 2. tfc 3. Close Console 4. Locate Doran 5. aurreth Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) Decided to try and make things look pretty and installed a few of JK's city mods. JK's Whiterun Outskirts adds buildings and activity around Whiterun, making it feel more like, you know, a city, but it also kinda runs over Laura's shop. Not a building or anything, but a fence/wall cuts through the building, and a couple cows get crammed in Laura's back yard. Very rude! So, for those interested, a small patch, wherein I rustled the cattle, swiped the goats, tore down the wall, and burned the cow shed. Ok, ok, I deleted out all the stuff that overlapped the shop building, removed livestock, and shifted some markers around as necessary. This is for SE/AE. It's an ESPFE, which apparently is the new term for an ESL flagged ESP? Whatever, it's flagged light, and I ran it through the cleaner. Or the voice addon being out of whack with the current version.
