AKM Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 (edited) Super Tic Tac Toe What if they draw? If a small game draws, it remains un-earned (neither an X nor an O is placed over it). If the entire game ends with a draw, one tie-breaker option is to give the win to the player who won the most small games. **** Bloopers from the 1940's "I'd also like to remind you that since these were all recorded on film, someone made the deliberate choice to process and preserve these, putting in a lot more effort than they had to for clips that won't make it into the final cut." "These movies went from looking and feeling like 1940s movies to modern movies." Yeah, I felt that, too. There's an image somewhere of a Chinese farmer, taken in 1901 or so, where the man is smiling, and making a silly face. Looking at it, you would swear right side up, upside down, and sideways that it's just a modern day shot taken on black and white film. The difference was that, being rural, he was unaware of the cultural norm of the times that you do NOT smile for photographs! The reason was that photography was extremely expensive then, so you didn't waste it on silliness. You know, the whole 'being human' thing. The video, but...: The comment: "10% functional code, 90% legacy code that if removed, breaks everything for no reason so the devs just left it there" **** Finally, some music: Edited September 18, 2024 by AKM

AKM Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 (edited) Arrows vs riot shield. Note: It's a simple matter of 'force applied over a given area'; the smaller the area relative to the amount of force being applied, the greater the chance of penetration. Extra surface area increases resistance dramatically, such that even small deviations from the arrowhead itself increase drag on the arrow. The BIG extensions, like on the hunting blade heads, cause the most resistance, and thus penetrate the least. However... take note of the most unlikely of the bunch. Spoiler in spoiler. Spoiler The "concave" arrowhead had the best penetration by far. This is due to the hollow point creating an area of extremely high pressure ahead of the arrow body, which allows the arrowhead to blast right through the shield with ease... with the rest of the arrow following right along behind it.
