Cyclops08 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 More Newbie questions, please be patient. I downloaded the basic version of Skyrim. I thought it was legacy, but I was wrong. So I do not have the DLCs (if they are needed). I have HDT jiggle. great. I'm using CBBE and Mature skin. I've got Santa's hair. But I'm not yet satisfied with what I am making. I have CBBE Morphs and I can manipulate breasts to my hearts content. But now I'm focusing on the face: How can I make it better? Any special tools/mods that you use? I haven't yet downloaded any sexlab stuff as I wanted to focus on Jiggle and beauty first.
mai_hasegawa Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 I highly suggest getting legendary edition (all DLCs) as many important mods will require them and won't work without. After that find a guide and follow it - for example this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76373 Don't have to take everything in it, but basics and stability - absolutely. Beauty mods are listed there as well. After you get that working you can start looking into sexlab mods.
dankmemesxd Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Racemenu if you are not using it alread, look for some eye mods and lips mods, also brows. Then the fun begins, make your character bald and adjust her face. You wont do that in 2 mins, u have to put some time into that aswell
Ernest Lemmingway Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 With the Racemenu mod you can import/export the skeletons of faces in the Sculpt tab. Then you can mix and match them by importing them one after the other. It doesn't always work out too well but I managed to get some pretty good results after a lot of experimenting. That's the only other advice I can give: keep working at it in each slider menu until you get something you like.

Cyclops08 Posted August 4, 2018 Author Posted August 4, 2018 Thanks for the advice, I work 10 hour days M-T, so I can only work on Skyrim on the weekends F-S-S. I have been working on the various mods and elves escape me. I have "etherial elven overhaul" and "actually attractive elves." I have elven eyes, all sorts of stuf, and this is still what I end up with. is there some sort of replacer for elven heads? They are butt ugly! I see pictures of beautiful elves, but no sites linked to them.

The real problem now is you're still on vanilla, skin textures, ambient colours, and lighting, which can make any sculpt look like crap.

Aya ॐ Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Well, I'd recommend switching to UNP with Bodyslide first of all, the body looks more realistic, has less jagged edges and just looks better overall, that's my opinion of course, if the look you're going for is cartoony/superround butt and boobies just stick with CBBE. I'll give you some pointers to what I use, which I'm pretty satisfied with. Hairs: By far my favorite hair mod is KS, so much variety a so many good hair in there, gets hard to choose one to wear tbh KS Hairdos Since you're using HDT, you should check out the HDT version, has a lot less hairs but has cool hair physics which you might like KS Hairdos HDT (Don't forget to download the HDT BBP fix patch in the downloads!!) Skins: I was using Fair Skin Complexion until recently, it comes with nice options on the installer and it's high quality, but it gives you a delicate looking skin, if that's not what you're looking for here are some alternatives: SG Female Textures First skin I used when I started and had a hard time letting go, has some options and definitely worth a check if delicate and doll like aint your thang. ThePure So, this is a pretty unique one, it's like Fair Skin Complexion but with extra options, and looks a bit different (More realistic imo), Has options for abs muscle on your female and stuff, if you're into that kind of stuff this one looks nice. Eyes: Just something you gotta experiment with, lot of good packs out there. I assume you've come across Eyes of Beauty already? Mikan Eyes is pretty good also. LiEyes Seems pretty good from the images, never had the need to download it since other mods add plenty though. Oh and don't forget to get BROWS while you're at it, makes Eye brows look noice and real. Might I ask, what are your PC specs? To be honest you'll never really achieve what you see around here without a decent graphical setup, ENBs, good lighting etc... You need a decent enough rig to handle it though, but makes the game looks 10x better. If you want I can point you to some nice graphic mods, just ask away. Since you're using an elf I can't give you many pointers, but when I created an elf I didn't use the Elf races, I pretty much created it with a Nord race and just added the elf ears later, Elf Heads are a hastle to get looking pretty tbh. But if you're determined I'll point you to CITRUS HEADS (I assume you know what sculpting is in RaceMenu yes? If not it's the option in the top right on the character creation screen written "Sculpt"), makes the head a lot smoother and easier to sculpt, I'd imagine it's extra helpful with Elves, don't forget to play with the sliders first though. And to get a good looking head, it just requires time and patience brotha (bit of creativity too) There's characters I pickup and go enhancing throught a playthrough, seeing things wrong with it and fixing it in the spot, in the end after about 100hrs they look perfect in my eyes. Sry for the wall of text, get excited helping ppl sometimes xD Hope it helps though, if you want more suggestions or help with something just type it up.

OK. first I heard of it. what ENBs do you recommend for beauty in a case like this? and I will give up on elves for the moment. and just work on a good - human - character.
Aya ॐ Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Yea mate start off slow, no one starts out making the Waifus you see out there. So it depends on your specs really, we can buff up your skyrim to look next-gen but it just depends on your rig, there are really good looking ENBs out there but sometimes it's not worth because it just cuts your FPS in half and leaves the game unplayable, you gotta know your PC and adapt to your own on this one, if you have a decent PC (If you post your video card and CPU makes it easier to help) you can try using the settings I am, which leaves it looking really good with good performance (Requires some tweaking in the files, nothing complicated though, lots of guides out there). So we need to get you a decent weather mod first: Natural Lighting Vivid Atmospherics It pretty much just compiles the best weather mods to give you wholesome experience, looks nice af and has a ton of weather variety. It comes with and ENB on it's own which looks nice, but not the best we can get it to look (Oh and as always, read the description thoroughly to make sure you're installing everything right, weather and look mods are a little more "fiddly") I'm absolutely in love with Rudy ENB right now, makes skins look high quality, it's pretty perfomance friendly and integrates into the game really well for a normal, long playthrough. I'd recommend reading through the description on these mods, they'll explain how to tweak the settings to best fit your system, and get everything running smooth.

I can't find the DLCs on Steam...they only want to sell the SE version. I may be stuck with a much older ENB if i can't find a way to download the DLCs.

You don't have to use the ENB or the weather mod I sent you, find what works best with you quick google search "Best Skyrim weather mods" Or "Best Skyrim graphical setup" goes a long way.

It makes character look much better, some even are characters focused (but I dont recommend that)

BUT I can't access those DLCs because Steam now says I already gave them. Go figure. @dankmemesxd, I did order Legacy through a British site and it should arrive by Friday. So I will have the complete and correct version soon.

So I will have the complete and correct version soon. oof, SE is pretty shit mod wise tbh, sry to hear u wasted ur money bud. but I hear it's more stable than Oldrim so when the mods get ported over (Some never will probably) it'll be better. and i cant believe I forgot to link you this but: All-in-One HDT Animated Pussy it's an all in one package, really easy to get collisions and HDT physics working with this, it's all in one installer pretty much (Also has a nice modding tutorial and stuffs in the bottom). Also comes with skin, makeup, teeth options etc.. pretty big download tho i thinks
