I've never seen a companion so realistic as her with her environnements... what a job you make it with her... Really , really amazing !!!Jaws dropped and each time she has some new comments that I don't have heared before... after a lot of playing with her.

She is alive..;Yes she did ! In club fusion city she was aware of the loud music in the background..; She said "I can't barely hear you "  She not supposed to be aware of this mod I'm right ?

With my female character, I equipped her with an helmet...after some days, she said me if she can be beautifull with this gear (don't remember me the exact phrasing she's said)

It's so immersive and I don't know how you handle all those sitituations with her.

Geez an another thing comes to my mind. Having let her having sex with Travis.. when all was  finished what she said to me "Do I talk do much ?" So approprieted as this moment... ? Thanks Reginald. But have you control of her reactions or the AI do the rest ? I'll stay on my positions.. she is alive !!! ?

Thanks for sharing the mod.

I have tried v4.0 and somehow it prevents me from properly recruiting dogmeat on a new game. He just returns to red rocket and cannot be recruited even forced by the amazing followers tweak mod.

Removing the mod dogmeat returns to normal. I am not sure if the cause is a conflict with other mods or something else.

Thanks.

You can try this:

First dismiss Ivy, make sure you have no other companions recruited.

Now do this:

  1. open console and click on Dogmeat (or any follower you may have this problem with) and enter the following commands:
  2. setconsolescopequest followers
  3. emptyrefalias companion
  4. setplayerteammate 0

(This should force dismiss Dogmeat and clear out any corruption in the followers quest and group of companions).

1. Now recruit Ivy again (you want to recruit her before any other companion).

2. Now recruit Dogmeat as usual.

If that does not work, use Everyone's Best friend mod, to travel together with Ivy and Dogmeat: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13459/

Place it before Ivy in your load order.

I was thinking about driving to the 24 hour Mcdonalds about 2am this morning.   as I was rather hungry.  in game I was deleting stuff on Spectacle island.

Ivy said as we were walking along " is that your stomach rumbling or mine? "

I was amazed.    her powers of perception are increasing.

the last time I felt so connected to a game character, was when I played Hellblade, Senua's sacrifice.

thank you again and again Reginald_001

If only Reginald had developed the games regular companions....

Soooo tired of hearing Cait talking about next person that asks her to shag and Piper asking where we are going that I send them to settlements I rarely visit. Ivy...I never leave her at home lol.

i dont know if this has been asked or not, but using nmm niether the robot or chiccs voice files will install. ive tried doing a normal install as well but no luck. are the files broken or something?

You’ve got something else going on. NMM installs this fine. You did install the base files first before the voice files, correct?

Link to comment

Double check the folder structure of both the audio and the base mod and make sure they are the same then make sure you install the voice/audio files after the base mod another .I don't use nmm i prefer MO2 so i can not remember what to check for on the install pane .

1) Download Companion_Ivy_4_base.7z

2) Unzip this file into your Fallout Directory, overwrite any files it asks to overwrite.

3) Choose to download (you MUST download and install one or the other)

Either: Companion_Ivy_4_ChicGeek.7z or you download Companion_Ivy_4_Robot.7z

4) Unzip the file that you chose to download into your Fallout Directory, overwrite any files it asks to overwrite.

5) Open Nexus Mod Manager.

6) Click on the Plugins Tab (top left)

7) Scroll down until you find CompanionIvy.Esp, click the checkbox to enable the mod.

Run Fallout 4 through Nexus Mod manager.

I'm confused. Some say she's in Diamond City, some outside. So where exactly can I find her?

Does someone has a map?

Or is there a solution to the radio, that only plays static?

Sadly the quest isn't updating when I tap into the radio.

thx.

That's the mods I'm using

Hi Reginald_001,

just an update, it seems if the Everyone's best friend mod is placed before the ivy mod, Dogmeat becomes unable to be recruited or dismissed, so it has to be placed after the ivy mod, just wondering if the ivy mod has some code overwriting dogmeat.

Also, if the ivy mod is loaded before a companion management mod like "Amazing Follower Tweaks" ivy also is not able to be recruited or dismissed. Not sure if Unlimited companion framework will also produce the same result.

Thanks for the great mod.

If you have problems with AFT the best thing to do is , before recruiting her and she is in your cross hair use the AFT control key/tab from the pip-boy then select AFT ignore follower ( can not remember the correct wording). After that you can recruit Ivy as normal and use AFT with all the other followers.

I have Everyone's Best Friend placed before Ivy, since day one when I started coding her. I think you have a different issue.

AFT is not supported, see the VFAQ. :P

I will! LoL

Seriously tho, I'm using AFT without an issue . . . so far. Fair enough tho.

I'm using AFT and there are several issues.

Every once in a while, Ivy stops responding, or she loses her gun (I need to do 'help ivy 0' find her hand cannon, then select her ID, do an 'additem' for her, then an 'equipitem'. Another thing I will be adding to the NX2C controller holotape soon.

There are moments where she does not interact during quests where she should. I'm seeing many minor and small issues. The bottom line is, if you're using Multi Follower mods, you're missing out on features of Ivy. And most of them do something at one point or another to screw up the scripts or settings. Also, every time I recruit a different follower as second or third follower and then dismiss them, Ivy's radio stops working and I need to reset it.

Long story short, if you want to have a 100% pure Ivy experience, you should not use MF mods other than Everyone's best friend.

That's so weird. I obviously don't know the scripting as well as you but I'm not seeing ANY of that. I thought she had lost her gun at one point too since she took up with a mini-gun (previous play through. I'll be keeping my eye open.) I think I snatched the mini-gun inadvertently, if they pick a new weapon I let them, and she was back to knockin' the shit out of stuff with that hand canon of hers. I just got and cut loose Piper and Cait on my current run through, gonna go check that radio . . .

Small development update.

Been working on the DLC, Nuka World is close to being finished. I've handed over the audio files for the Museum of Pornography Add-on for Ivy to Chik Geek, who will be recording the voice files for that soon.

I've also been working on the base files, some scripts that needed work, very minor things to improve stability for the radio and follower preferences.

The biggest change is that Ivy will be keeping a lot of her own variables to keep track of how things should be, and her scripts will be enforcing these things.

An example: The radio, should it not be running at any one time, will restart by itself.

Or the follower preferences, if you tell Ivy to follow you closely the script command is sent, but as soon as combat took place she will reset to default follower distance, this will be enforced through script now as well. Making her more stable and predictable.

Just some random screenshots of my current playthrough (NSFW).

Somehow Preston really loves to visit the Museum of Pornography. Whenever I reach Sanctuary... there he is.. Sitting on the second floor, enjoying the view.

And what is he doing with his hand? Dirty bastard. :P

(PS: If you want to get this lighting, you need the Far Harbor DLC. I adjusted the weather pool for the vanilla game/commonwealth to include the Island weather every now and then. It makes everything glow like this, and adds a lot of light beams everywhere.)
