No you did nothing wrong. I screwed up with the radio patch. I missed a script which is needed for it.

Try unpacking this new radio patch, let me know if resetting the radio now works!

Hello Reginald_001!

May i ask you, what is her base look?

The pictures are a little confusing.

This is Ivy's normal look without mods, a mix between Stevie Nicks 60/70's style and a raider:

Fuckityfuckcuntdickpenismotherfucker!

I love this mod!

I was about to try to create a new face for her and once I found the single ponytail hair style, I was like.....Oh, nice, that works. I didn't even need to change anything else.

Although the idea is lovely, it would require both mods to become dependencies of each other. Perhaps in 6 months, when the ESM is released, this can happen in some sort of plugin. But currently it would be a real hassle to set up. :)

Oh I know. I wasn't meaning for it to be done on your end. Unless, it's done on your end as a add-on/patch if someone has Heather. Robo and Chic voiced. But that would be knowing in advanced what kind of random comments Heather would make as a banter.

I know a couple of lines against Piper that Heather say are "The only reason I don't kick your ass is because of him" and "Back off! He's Mine!" But that is not needed for Ivy. That's a pipe dream down line line. You have more important things to do with Ivy, currently. I was just randomly musing.

I have been playing with AFM for two weeks now. I played with Piper and Ivy, now I'm playing with Cait and Ivy. The biggest irritation for me is when both companions start talking when you pick things up. I'd like for them to wait each other out (difficult proposition at best).

I am seeing some possibilities for more interaction between Ivy and the other companions though. I had an idea about random chats between vanilla companions and Ivy. I can theoretically reuse plenty of dialogue from the vanilla companions to have them chat with Ivy, or rather have Ivy chat with them, then have them give appropriate responses.

If I choose to do this it will be some kind of plugin/add-on for the ESM.

I am very much doubting on doing this though, because as soon as something like that is released, it means that Ivy needs to be 'officially' compatible with multi companion mods, and I'm still convinced that it's up to the multi companion mod authors to fix issues with compatibility, rather than that it should be the companion's creators that have to make the companions compatible with Multi follower mods.

The reality of life though is, that people play with Multi followers mods and use Ivy.

So perhaps if I add in thick red letters that such an add-on would be experimental and completely unsupported, I might do it.

So I've been using Ivy with AFT for a while now, and I gotta offer an apology. Once you told me what you have seen, being the mod author and all, I knew what to look for. Damned if you ain't right. I haven't had her lose her gun yet, tho she will switch out in a new york second, I've seen all the other things you've reported. Not responding, etc. I'm a fairly thorough tester too.

So for all of us "no problems with AFT" types . . . yeah, there are. The question remains, is it something you're willing to live with. I've found that getting her going again isn't that hard. Having said that, I've got a borked save (nothing to do with Ivy) again so I'll be starting a new game, again. I'm gonna have a go with just Ivy and no multifollower mod at all.  See if she's got some new songs to sing. (Unfortunately Just Business doesn't play well with RSE or I'd give that another shot with Ivy in tow.)

Great work as always Reginald, and sorry for mucking things up. I always did need to smack my nose on a wall to recognize it!

I've stopped using multi follower mods. They just create problems and don't always work well. Especially when trying to dismiss or in general using Dogmeat. AFT is a staple in Skyrim. But here, I avoid it like the plague. Heather has her own system that doesn't use the FO4 follower system so she doesn't register as a follower. Thus, you can use Heather and Ivy at the same time without any additional Mods. But as for Vanilla followers. Well, in my current save, I haven't used any of them as I am just using Ivy. And for me.....for now, I am perfectly happy with 1 follower.

Link to comment

There's a lot to like about AFT imo. And a lot of that doesn't have anything to do with having more than one follower. But I think maybe that's what makes it problematic. It's too bad too, I really like it. I've never used Heather, much to my eternal shame from what I hear. I'll have to fix that. And yeah, I'm so over the vanilla followers it ain't funny. I always took Cait because then I could save lockpicking points for later, but now with Ivy hacking computers I can do it that way instead. But the way Cait bitches at you, especially after curing her addiction . . . harumph.

I gotta admit a perverse pleasure in overrunning some of these quest locations with a herd of girls tho . . .

Ahh well, what ya gonna do huh? :P

PS: I can't stand Dogmeat, so I don't use him either. It's a neat idea but he, and Codsworth are a total pain in the ass. Always in the way (especially Dogmeat) or up in your face (Codsworth) when idling. Codsworth is at least useful, especially in retrieving Ivy's voucher. They both stay at Red Rocket and guard my stuff.

No, you wouldn't have to make Ivy compatible with multi-companions. There are going to be ones out there that keep saying "I've gotten her to work with blah, blah this multi mod or that multi mod" but we know there are still issues down the line that will fuck a save. No matter how many times that it is told to them, they won't believe the mod author. @Sulphur.4724 at least said something about it, but he's just one of a handful that realized it.

The reason I keep mentioning Heather is because Llama made the mod a unique way in not having Heather count as a companion. That's the type of companion mods that should work with Ivy. Or if Ivy could be like that, not count as a companion. Then it could be a small posse, Ivy, Dogmeat (with the "Everyone's Best Friend" mod), the player & which ever companion is along for the ride. Hell, one could then add Heather to the posse, making that a total of 5 (including the player) walking The Commonwealth, blowing shit up. Then maybe people will stop trying to use multi-companion mods. IMHO, I think all mod authors that make companion mods should go the way Llama did, and make them as a non-counting companion.

And, @Sulphur.4724, I think you will like Heather, once you try her out.

To be honest I was one of those guys. Until Reginald, who knows Ivy better than all of us, pointed things out I didn't even see the things that she wasn't doing. It's hard to break one's own bias'. Once I saw them for myself, just as he described them, well, evidence is supposed to rule reason is it not?

To anyone feeling the way I did, he's right, we weren't. The question to ask yourself is this: Is the break created worth the advantage gained. And only an individual can answer that one. Me, I dropped AFT. And I really like AFT. But I like Ivy more and want to experience her the way she was coded.

Gonna give Heather a try @DontBlnkBadWolf

I'm just popping in to say I am still in awe of Ivy. I use the Chic Geek version (awesome!). Today I learnt which place not to take her and why, and the story is quite shocking.

Time and time again, Ivy excels over every other companion mod by 100%. As I learn her back story, the mix of tragedy and the result that is Ivy is fascinating....

REALLY???
You've even found the biggest mystery here in the forum.

Congratulations, if you are still willing to share this super-secretive information for the private, I thank you very much.

For those that use Ivy and Amazing Follower Tweaks together, there are some steps you might want to take to make the two mods play together a little more nicely.

AFT is a touchy subject here and I think that's because it's not obvious that there are steps you may need to take when using custom companion mods along side it.

(Disclaimer: I haven't had a single issue with AFT, it's always been at the end of my load order and companion mods always come before it. I never had to take these steps myself.)

With these simple steps, Ivy will not be managed by AFT when you recruit her, ensuring compatibility. (to my knowledge at least.)

  • Before taking Ivy as your companion, highlight her and use the AFT Master Control.
  • Select Mark NPC as Ignored.
  • Recruit Ivy.

If you already recruited Ivy, she's already been added to AFT's system. There are steps you need to take to remove her from AFT.

  • Dismiss Ivy and every other companion you have following you. You shouldn't have anyone following you now.
  • Highlight Ivy and use AFT Master Control.
  • Go to the Tools category and then select Unmanage NPC.
  • Highlight Ivy once again and use AFT Master Control.
  • Select Mark NPC as Ignored.
  • Ask Ivy to rejoin you. After you've got her to join you again, talk to all of your other companions that you'd like accompanying you.

I hope this helps people use Ivy and Amazing Follower Tweaks together. I for one know I couldn't live without either in my playthroughs. ?

Amazing!!!
Thank you for the tip.
I can not be without a multi-player, because term is that you are obliged to go with the companion of the mission, but we do not want to open hand of our heart companions, like IVY, and I like andart also with Heater and Nora do Syntetic Love,

Now thanks to your article I know how to use aft without damages with IVY

One day, when Llama ever gets the chance to get more recording time for Heather Casdin, a nice banter between the 2 would be a nice add. But, Llama doesn't know when she will be recording again. Ivy & Heather are my favorite, thanks @Reginald_001 for creating Ivy, and I can't wait for the DLC & Chic V.O.

I also wanted to see these duyas talking, I asked at Heater's committees, who knows ....

I think it's a great idea, as you yourself have experienced, that Ivy is very willing to listen to some random conversations with other comrades, for example:

Something I liked most about Heater Castin is that traveling with her and Piper, it is common for Heather to make random provocations to Piper who responds to these provocations, Heater also makes many cometarios with other personages, such as when they enter the Good neighborhood and she says hello to Hancock.

I think if I include something like that in Ivy it will be very welcome, for example, Cait has a more sexual footprint, they could give good conversations, the same with Piper who is very conservative and the only one of the companions that dislikes when you if you get involved with other women, a conflict of opinions between the two may happen, and so on ....

Justice made, soon in the face of Ivy's premier interactions within the museum of freedom are phenomenal.

Thank you, it is good to go back to the forum, I confess that I missed you a lot
it's great to be one of IVY's fans and hang out with the guys here who really enjoy this unique character.

Speaking of which, please, if you add the files to me to translate of these updates and new additional ones.

Yeah...
as it has been more than a month that I do not play, and this update came out, I think it's a good idea to make a new save with new clean installa- tion, I recently abandoned NMM and I'm using MO2, at first I was a little surprised but the way it works it is much better,
for example now, I do not need to do other installation from scratch, but just create a new profile inside MO2, just grow what I think of using ...
Yes NMM does this, but the fact is that NMM installs everything in one folder and MO2 creates separate folders and virtual installations, so you're always running on a game with clean main files

the doubt is
I expect to leave at 4.1 before reinstalling?

no ... I'll do this and follow of the @GuerillaTech tips to have an AFT running without conflicts with IVY

With the recent update that's been shoved on all of us, now would be a really nice time to spring the ESM version of ivy on us. If it's ready obviously

I'm currently working on updating the original base ESM and I'm working on several add-ons for Ivy. Once everything's proven to be stable and some add-ons are done, it will be released. But I don't think this will be before early winter.

Question, I was helping out brotherhood of steel first quest

and Ivy was complaining about Dance and the brotherhood of steels (which i love)

but with idle chat, Ivy and Dance talk at the same time.  If i get closer to one or the other i can see there subtitles but can not hear what either one is saying

is there something that can be done about that???

P.s. this also happens with Heather

P.s.s this would be great place for banter between Ivy and Heather

I'm looking into it. I'd like Ivy to interact more with other NPC's as well. Stay very tuned! :)

Meanwhile, I'm working away on the mod, still fixing minor issues in the base mod.

Worked on (and almost finalized)

THREE ADD-ONS FOR IVY HAVE NEARLY FINISHED DEVELOPMENT:

1 - The Ivy Porn Collector Add-on which adds 10 classic vintage porn magazines as Perk Mags, added as very rare item to safes, each one adding a perk!

2 - The Museum of Pornography Add-on (Nearly finished)

3 - The 'Most Wanted' Add-On, which adds a class of 'Raider Stalker', they are either jealous customers that want to claim Ivy for their own, or have a contract and try to take Ivy as bounty. They are usually mid-level to boss level strength and are sometimes part of a raider posse.

YESSSS!!!
very well!

Very eager for these new content,

It's good that she was encouraged to make more interactions with other people, Ivy is fantastic, but everything can always improve.

allow me a suggestion, which I think I mentioned before
there is a mod for a clothes Assaultroness (EVB-CBBE) (AE-AWKCR)  https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21004

what he called me attention too, was not the mod itself, but his story, in the page of the hidden description where it has a link SPOLER, opens a story that I found incredible,

and I think it's a good fit, or inspiration for the part of Ivy's old life, I think these stories can cross,

I highly recommend a look at it, I think you'll like it
warning, it's very somber and a bit heavy, but it has everything to do with the universe fo4
