I'm currently working on updating the original base ESM and I'm working on several add-ons for Ivy. Once everything's proven to be stable and some add-ons are done, it will be released. But I don't think this will be before early winter.

I loved the new look with the light coat,

just a note, and let me, the high-heeled platform would be a great shoe for a pistad and dance or a stage, but for the day to day community on the sour ground a sensual high-pitched boot with low heel would make more sense,

It's just a personal mod for Easygirl's outfits I'm using. :)

I recorded 16 more sci-fi trailers and added 12 'news items' to Ivy's radio, in her 'base' mod.

Ivy now has 51 trailers, songs etc.. and 24 announcements/news items.

I tested with AFT

I noticed that if AFT is loaded before Ivy, it does not work right, even if AFT is marked as ignore character, but if AFTb is loaded after Ivy, that's fine.

I did the text with a clean install and a new game starting from scratch.
with AFT loaded before the IVy looping occurs at the time of delivery of the Voucher, even before the AFT marked to ignore character.
When the AFT was loaded after the IVY did not happen the looping even before being marked to ignore persong no longer gave the error.

I believe that it should be included in the installation instructions something like:

For use with AFT
1 - originally the IVY must be before the FT in the order of loading.
2 - once you see ivy for the first time use the AFT control and mark it as "ignore character"

I auditioned for the radio.

In the situation above, if the game starts with Ivi and Heather installed, Ivy's radio is mute, I think overlapped by Heather's radio, but Heather's radio only exists until you talk to her, then the radio Heather disappears and Ivy's then appears normal.

A quick way to solve this is so I enter the sanctuary already build the Heater terminal and bring it close, with that Heather radio is already disabled and can follow the normal Ivy radio.

A simple information would be in the isntalation instructions could be something like:

Game start compatibility between Ivy and Heather Castin

If you start a new game with Ivy and Heather, Ivy Radio will only be heard after recruiting Heather.
By default, when leaving Vault 11 the player has a radio message from Ivy and starts his buca, but if he has Heather Castin installed Heather's Radio overlays the IVY radio and there was no initial message from Ivy to the Heater to be recruited.
The solutions:

First option, follow the Heather Casting radio mes- sage and follow her and the rercrute, that closes Heather's radio and lets Ivy's radio channel be heard.
Or, as soon as you enter the Sanctuary to Heather's terminal and use the option, bring it close, this will close Heather's radio and release the channel for Ivy's radio to be heard, but attention, just make this second option if it is already done before normal start with Heather because this method skips some initial conversations with Heather, if it is your first time, would rather walk to where Heather is and talk to her.

I have not been able to test whether the loading order between Ivy and Heather solves or complicates the problem of overlapping the radio channel of the two, I still imagine that a better solution would be for one of the two characters to switch from radio to radio, as the development of Heater seems to be parked and Ivy's is always constant, I imagine the solution comes from a change of the Ivy radio channel in a future update ...

The idea of an easier way to find Ivy when the player is low or at the beginning of the game is interesting, and the more complicated traditional pattern appears only if the player is already at a higher level.

I don't think there is a compatibility issue with Heather, many players have confirmed there are no issues. They run on a different frequency so shouldn't interfere with eachother in any way. I will admit I have not played with Heather yet, but I'll look into it (again).

I checked her freq. It's set at 108. Ivy is broadcasting on 99.69. :)

Been working away on the add-ons. Encountered my first Raider Stalkers, when visiting Revere Beach Station today... Nothing much here yet, they will be carrying a contract often and will behave mostly like regular raiders. They are a bit tougher than regular raiders and I'm trying to make it so that they will demand 'the robot' every now and then, so you know they have an agenda. As they have just been added to the regular leveled list of raiders, it shouldn't interfere with gameplay, it just means that some random raiders will be replaced with Stalkers, out to take Ivy away from you.

I'm using Heather and Ivy right now. Heather's dialogue. Heh. It's a good thing Ivy can't hear her or she'd probably kill her outright. Man that girl does NOT like synths.

She's like, the anti-Ivy. LoL

I think they MAY stumble on some dialogue. After our back and forth about AFT and me finally seeing the light I played a minute with just Ivy and yeah, big difference. Since I've added Heather (I had never played with her either) I think I've noticed some dialog issues. Almost like with AFT. Can't be more specific than that as I've just started with her. (And I'm liable to be full of it.) I'll let you know if I find something that can be nailed down. Oh, and I'm fairly certain Ivy has lost her gun. Not 100% on that but if not she's preferring a pool cue over it and that just don't make no damn sense. If she needs range she raids whatever bodies are close. Brand new play through. No AFT ever.

One thing that made me stare for a minute. When I brought Heather on board she DID notice Ivy. She told her "You look pretty tough. Welcome aboard!"

I love these mods.

The updates are looking great . Thank you for the hard work your doing .

Thanks, I've been recording some raider dialogue as place holder, for lack of a voice actor that can do 14 raider lines for stalkers. :)

(If anyone can sound just like, or close to, the vanilla raiders, give me a shout out through PM for some voice acting work -> 14 lines).

I am hoping to add some new material to her service menu > memory archive as well, to further deepen her backstory.

The lore that's been added to the world is pretty cool as well, you can now find some random notes about the NX-2C and how she came to be, or about persons looking for her.

What can I say? Much more add-ons to come, I'm having a blast with Ivy!

If she's lost her gun you can force her to re-equip it, do the following (added to the VFAQ):

- Walk up to Ivy and open the console, click on her.

- Now type "help ivy 0"

- find the "ivy handcannon" entry.

- now type "equipitem <hand_cannon_id>"

That should do the trick.

Again, I'm a Heather fan. And I'm sorry for opening the can of worms about getting them to work together. I'm still suggesting, though, that you look into making Ivy not count as a companion. I don't know where in the coding to look for that, you may have to peek inside Heather's files to see how Llama made Heather not be a count against companions.

If I'm not mistaken, Ivy is a Pre-War made Bot. So Heather wouldn't have an issue with her. You said "(And I'm liable to be full of it)", are you meaning that you are tired of Heather? As for Heather already commenting "You look pretty tough, Welcome Aboard", I think it's due to the fact that Ivy is like a regular companion in the companion count. Heather's coding looks for the "Companion" and will make random comments to them. If Ivy becomes a "non-Companion" count, those random comments would stop.

Also, reading all of your posts, it looks like you made up for lost time being away for that month, by writing all of those posts, LOL

It's not a setting or a bit to switch,  it'll require complete recoding of the mod for little benefits. Thanks for the suggestions but I really do like Ivy's setup the way it is. I'm working on ways for her to speak and interact more with other NPC's regardless of how she's coded though. ;)

"I'm liable to be full of it" is more about confirmation bias than anything. Reginald and I had a pretty good conversation concerning Ivy and AFT and once I saw the pattern he talked about; Ivy missing lines, losing her gun, etc. I had to agree with him. I just didn't know what I was looking for. Now I'm afraid I might be seeing things because I expect too, instead of their being an actual issue.

And I thought her commenting on Ivy was pretty cool. More of that! (imo) Makes them seem alive somehow. Ivy does this fairly often. Says shit that makes ya go "hmmmmm." I likes it! I gotta admit that Heather is pretty cool too tho. Now I see what all the fuss was about.

Yeah, I'm a chatty MF ain't I? I got an opinion about everything. I'm just as bad IRL. Consider yourselves lucky! LoL

I think i'm going to do a fresh install of with just ivy and heather , then with AFT its bugging me i can not get these reported problems to happen in my game I could'nt see any conflicts with files in the install folder or via F04 Edit , though it will not be until next week when i will get time to do so.

One more minor data point.

I have been using Heather and Ivy together pretty much ever since Ivy came out. No problems to date.

Minor issue was that Ivy requires XDI - and that really messes Heather up.

It is easy enough to fix with a "Heather XDI patch". I did my own by editing the responses.

What's XDI?? ?

(googled it, extended dialogue interface).

I checked, and no, Ivy does not require XDI.

Ivy has ZERO hard requirements on any mod to function. ;)

Where did you get the idea that Ivy needs XDI to function?

To be Released Soon.... Ivy's new 'Add-on': Porn Collector

Introduction

During the height of the cold war with Communist China, pornography was in high demand in all layers of society. Even though not much of it remains, 200 years after the destruction of the bombs, there are still vintage magazines to be found. Some can be found, unseen and unread for 200 years, locked away hidden, inside safes... inside long forgotten houses and basements. Others might be found on the hoards of raiders and other scum traveling the wasteland. Even now, the vintage pornography magazines are in high demand with raiders and some traders and can be found in most corners of the Commonwealth and beyond...

It was a hell of a lot of work.... but I have finished the new add-on for Ivy called 'Porn Collector' and will release it soon.

This add-on offers 25 unique skill books, each coming with its own perk related to the magazine you've found.

There is no dependency on having Ivy installed as companion and there are no other dependencies. Anyone can install and use this mod.

I have tried to balance the perks with the game. There's nothing overpowered, it's all small numbers or percentages. Of course, collecting everything does add up to give you more powers/perks. All the books are unique, have a unique popup message when you pick them up, have unique perks, or ranks of perks etc.. They have high-poly and lo-poly artwork and can be stored on any shelf that holds perk magazines. (If you want to see how it looks, scroll down and open the spoiler at the bottom of this post for more details).

Mmmm.. perhaps something to show off in Ivy's Museum of Pornography? :)

You can find the perk magazines in very rare occasions on some vendors. You can also find them inside the following items and containers... if you're lucky... because there is a 5% chance that any of these containers have one of the magazines. There can be duplicates, so try to collect them all when this is released...

- Pre-war Safes

- Raider Safes (wall mounted / regular)

- Raider Boss Duffle Bags

The 25 Perk magazines introduced in this mod are inside the spoiler

I have everyone's best friend so i can have Ivy, Heather, and Dogmeat

if i want any other companion like Ada etc... I have to send Ivy home (I will not use AFT) to lose out one the full potential of Ivy will there be a way i can have Ivy and one other companion without AFT??

Also I got sucked in to getting the three pack of  Noir Penthouse, Charlestown Condo, Nuka-cola Collector Workshop. Ivy works fine with two of them

but with Noir Penthouse she can not enter the second part of the Penthouse

is there a way you can add that, I am will to pay for the CC mod if you need it

Thanks for everything and love this mod

One small question I had about Ivy, and that is the King Pelican story. Is there a reason she tells this story? Or is it just "one of those things about her"?  Is it a real, published tale?

It is a strange story!

Thanks!

Hi, great mod, usally don comment a lot in here but run into a issue. Not sure yet if it's Ivy but it happen with her during a mission. Ok will do a rundown on what happend and you decide if it's me (usererror), your mod, the electronig god of disease or what ever's fault.

Lvl8 - Cortega mission, sneaking up outside Cortega and clearing out the enemies ay fron, she do a great job taking out the Raiders above us. All the sudden I cant see her, hmm ok maybe she decide to go around and clear the side. Going there.. nope not there, clearing the side thinking ok just give her time she will soon show. Getting inside Coevega thought ok load door now she should! sow. Nope. Well sort it out later was my thought, clearing Corvegas with Dogmeat as only support. At top floor before the boss I thought, lets try teleport her, first turned on the locator icon, according ro it she was at the spot where I last saw her by the cars outside Cortega. Teleport flash... no Ivy!!

Oh crap, clearing out all rest of raiders. Going to the spot where I last saw her. Now mind you the locater say shes at the spot I teleport her to inside Cortegas. Doing a new teleport. Flash happen then nothing. Ok start searching the forums, found something about her not responding and the solution for that. Not anything about her gone missing and teleport mailfunction. Disable her with the debug tool. Getting a question on where I want to send her. sending her to Red Rocket. Fast travel myself to Sanctuary. Wait some time Activate her with the option in debugger. Wait some.. no Ivy. Trying Teleport again. Flash no Ivy...NO SOUND, sound in game just completly gone. Any save after she has dissapeared has no sound and no able to get Teleport to work. The save before Cortega at startlight DI everything works. Not sure what happend there and is about to continue from the working save. She's been intalled before I started this character witch is new. Been playing with her with another char, at cortega all went well even if she was worried that she might get lost in there and made me promise to teleport her if needed. All I can think of is that she got blown up by them exploding cars.. I saw them get on fire and moved away, and that was last time I saw here... Any thoughts?

Sry for the wall of text.

If she can't enter parts of the penthouse there's likely an issue with its navmesh. I don't think I can fix that from my end.

For the ADA companion, simply dismiss Ivy when you must travel with her (to open the doors in the last mission), then recruit her again when that mission is over. ;)

Thanks! Yes, there's a LOT of new content and updates to the 4.0 base mod coming! :)

As for the Pelican King, it is a fable I wrote for Ivy, set inside the Fallout world. Vault Tec experimented on birds for espionage purposes and made them sentient, the consequences can be heard by talking to Ivy and opening her Service Menu.

I don't know what to say. Looks like some issue with a mod you installed, or perhaps some kind of scripting overload.

If teleport doesn't work, she's gone, not there any more. That shouldn't be able to happen as she's set to be essential (e.g. she can't die or be disabled).

In your case, I would recommend a clean install of Fallout, then reinstall your mods.

If anything, check into any mods you installed last, then work your way down.

It might be best to load up an earlier save with Ivy still recruited (you do make regular manual saves, right? :P )
