Submissive Lola: The Resubmission LE/SE 2.1.22

It is always safe to update to a newer version mid-game.  There's no need for a clean save.  However, safely updating to a particular version sometimes requires that a certain quest not be running when you do so.  Whenever that is true, I note it in bold red text in the change notes for that version.  If you're updating from several versions behind, please skim the change log for any red text warnings.

At a minimum, look over the settings on the mod's main MCM page.  Some of them, like starting contract time, won't be available after you've submitted to your follower.

The classic start is to read the book Submissive Lola under Haelga's bed in the Bunkhouse (other copies are in Dragonsreach, the Bards College, Silverblood Inn, and Candlehearth Hall).  Or just click the Start Quest button on the MCM and you'll be given the book.

Talk to a current follower.  Either say "I'd like to talk to you about something unusual" or, if you enabled the option for the follower to approach you, eventually the follower will invite you to become a slave (there's a chance of that each time you talk to a follower, but the follower won't run up to you and ask).

Don't be foolish.  If you enable an option for permanent enslavement, that's what you'll get.  There is no safeword.  If you lock out the anti-cheat controls, you're locked out forever.

- Devious Devices 5.2 or higher is required for versions 2.1.0 or higher.  The old version 2.0.64 works with DD 4.  Players with DD 5.0 or 5.1 should update to 5.2.

- Beware of using old, unmaintained mod patches.  For example, SexLab Inflation Framework Patches overwrites the main script of Devious Devices with a version from 2018; that causes Submissive Lola to see your DD 5.2 installation as an old version, which effectively it is with that ancient patch.

- SexLab (Ashal's official version) or a 100% compatible replacement is required to ensure that all features work.

- Any up-to-date version of SexLab Aroused will work.  This mod doesn't use special keywords.

- ZAP 8 is recommended but ZAP 7 is supported.  ZAP 8 has dance animations.  Without them, you'll have to dance like a fool (Cicero's dance), unless you've optionally installed the dance animation from TDF Prostitution, which this mod will also use.

- As of ZAP 9.2, ZAP 9 causes the whipping done by this mod not to work.

- Some add-ons for Simple Slavery++ (not enslavement mods, but mods that alter Simple Slavery) can interfere with a small amount of this mod's content (for example, the Trophy Slave event).  Affected content will be disabled to avoid conflicts.

- Avoid using Sky UI's "Unequip Armor" toggle.  It tries to remove Devious Devices, resulting in a half on, half off equipped state.

- Busy Follower Framework is not fully compatible and is not recommended (use NFF or EFF).  Recruiting hirelings and having a buyer who is not a current follower buy you probably won't work or might have glitchy follower behavior.  However, submitting to a current follower should be okay.

- Ultimate Combat can cause whipping scenes to not work.  It is compatible if you don't overwrite any FNIS animations with it, keep it above FNIS.esp, and deactivate PC stagger in its MCM (stagger breaks animations).

- Forced orgasm events might time out without orgasm if you use a nonstandard version of SexLab Aroused, such as OSLAroused.  Either adjust your Libido during these events or wait for the events to time out.

- DAR/OAR combat animations might override the whipping animations unless you specifically exclude ZAP's zbf punishment cane or the keyword zbfWeaponPunishment.

- The old Whiterun Brothel (which is no longer available) interferes with whipping.

- Better Dialogue Controls has caused problems for some people, only because they couldn't view more than 5 dialog options.  If you can scroll through dialog choices, you're okay, just be aware that a scroll bar might not appear even when more responses exist.

I Want Widgets to format many of this mod's notifications (it works for SE and LE).

For sweeping enthusiasts, Sweeping Organizes Stuff (SE) or Broom Sweeping (LE).  Clicking the broom counts as sweeping during the sweeping task.

Butt Slap ("Slap da Butt") mod (LE | SE).  The owner will send you off with a slap on the butt for some tasks.

Billyy's Animations for "Headpats".  You'll sometimes get a pat on the head and a "Good girl/boy!" for a difficult job well done.

For a sane arousal increase rate, on the main MCM page for SL Aroused, set Time Rate Change to 0 (default is 5).  Time Rate will never increase, so you'll never have the crazed nympho spiral of doom.  Next, go to the puppet master page and set your Time Rate to something reasonable.  I like 10.  Time Arousal is Time Rate times days since last orgasm.  Also adjust the owner's Time Rate to suit that character's personality.

Even at 24 hours without orgasm (you probably won't go that long with mods like this one), the time contribution toward arousal would just be 10 points.  Arousal is Exposure + Time Arousal, so almost all arousal would come from cumulative exposure.

You might also consider lowering your Exposure setting, but unless you're seeing a lot of nudity (yours isn't counted), your arousal should increase slowly and consistently.  In my games, it's very manageable.  Even setting the owner's clothing to "naked", my character's arousal is tolerable, though as expected she's usually hot to trot with constant exposure.

You can further manage your character's exposure with the SLTR MCM Roleplay setting, "Your satisfaction with sex with owner".  This amount is subtracted from the PC's exposure after sex with the owner, from -20 (owner is very selfish and slave gets very little release) to 50 (extremely satisfying).  SLTR always sets the owner's exposure after sex (with anyone) to zero, to keep the owner from demanding sex every two minutes around a naked slave.  As mentioned before, setting the owner's Time Rate in SL Arousal helps with that too.

I also suggest lowering Cell Scan Frequency by a factor of 4 (to 30 seconds) and the same with Default Exposure Rate (to 0.5).  This does increase script load but scanning every 30 seconds is not that frequent.  (If it's a problem, lower both settings by a factor 2 rather than 4.)  Updating arousal at the default once every two minutes just doesn't work well.  Your naked or sexy-dressed character can be in & out of several buildings before NPCs even notice.  Reducing these two settings by the same factor allows for more frequent updates, so NPCs actually notice the PC and get aroused, without changing the overall rate of exposure gain over time.

Several animations from GS Poses are used if they are installed.  This mod assumes the latest LoversLab version, GSPoses 20 03.  If you use a different version of GS Poses, it should work, but just be aware that the pose IDs can change between versions of that mod.

This mod will use dances from TDF Prostitution and a few poses from RohZima's Animated Poser if you have those mods or at least their animations installed.  The mods don't have to be enabled or running; only their animation files are needed.

How to install just the animations

Open the mod's download file.

Drag the Meshes\Actors file into Data\Meshes.

You now have new files in Data\meshes\actors\character\animations and Data\meshes\actors\character\behavior.

Run FNIS.

Optionally, to reduce the number of new animations, delete the animations (HKX files) that you don't want.  (For the RohZima animations, this mod only uses Fitness 3, 4, and 5.)  You must also edit the FNIS_xxx_List.txt file to remove the lines for the animations that you deleted.  Run FNIS when you're done.

Riding Crop:  This is an optional custom model for the whip that the owner uses on you.  It's a black leather riding crop.  To use it, extract the files from the download into either your Data folder or the installation folder for this mod.  This REPLACES the CustomWhip.nif file, so if you were using a different custom whip mesh, rename that file or copy it so you don't lose it.  In the MCM under Rules, set Whipping Weapon to Custom to use the custom model.

Bigger Brooms:  Bigger brooms for the sweeping animation, because the standard broom doesn't come very close to reaching the floor.  These optional replacement meshes only affect the sweeping animation, not broom objects.  They will be used by everyone, not just you.

Runic Collars Alternative Colors:  These are alternate files with different colors for the Runic Collar by Frayed.  If you like red collar runes and red glowing circles, you don't need to use these files.  Read the text file inside the download for instructions.

EsturkBooze:  "It's an optional mod that replaces the effects of consuming the various alcoholic drinks in vanilla Skyrim. They are given much more useful healing/buff effects but have the added side effect of causing drunkenness (blurred vision and random stumbling)."  This is an optional standalone mod.  There is no interaction between EsturkBooze and Submissive Lola.  EsurkBooze modifies vanilla booze (ale, Nord mead, etc.).  If you have other mods that also modify these consumables, they will conflict and the lowest one in your mod list will override the other's changes.

Add-ons offer extra content that might not necessarily fit the tone of the base mod.  Think of them as spices for a meal.  Each has a different flavor, which might or might not suit your taste.  For questions or support, please contact the add-on's author.

Coffee's Task Extension adds new events, focused on Lola as property and defining the playmate as an equal to Lola.

TekknoTim's Addon adds new events for pet play and branding.

Kalmah's Extension has heavier and harsher bondage.  It is outdated, has known issues, and might not work right.  Use at your own risk.

Sexual Vampire Feeding animation pack:  LE version by Perfidy and SE version by nomkaz.  Download ONLY SLAL Pack - Sexual Vampire Feed for just the animations (unless you want the other features)

- Do not upload to another site, except for translation versions that make no other change, and that do not charge money.  You don't have to ask permission to do a translation.
- Do not mirror this mod on another site, even for free, except with written permission.
- Do not publish a modified version of this mod (The Resubmission, not the original by alekvkj) or its assets, except for simple translations.  No "forked", "redux", "enhanced", "patched", "converted", or alternate versions.

- Do not offer any replacement scripts or patches of any kind for this mod.
- With permission, you may publish an add-on for this mod, which adds new content (rather than changing existing content), if it requires the original (only offering new files), and if it is offered free of charge.  Just ask.  An add-on must make no edits or overrides to any Submissive Lola files, including any changes of any records in the ESP file.
