    This mod is a simple image replacement mod for the male NPCs that hit on you in X-Change Life. I made this mod not because I didn't care for the existing images in the game, but because I simply wanted something different. A little more dude variety, if you will.
     
    The images mostly align with the descriptions used for the existing male NPCs. I would consider the male NPC images added in this mod to be mostly slightly more attractive than the base game, but your mileage may vary. I used gray or black backgrounds instead of blue for these (which the base game uses) because a more neutral color is more likely to go with some of the more adventurous palettes you can use in the game now.
     
    This mod will be compatible with every version of XCL that I've played.
     
    How to install:
    Download this mod "Different Dudes" as a zip file. Place the Different Dudes zip file into the XCL folder.  Run the mod loader and add Different Dudes to the game!

    What this mod does: It attempts to add a new song to the club that plays in a certain situation (first time the player character goes to the club as a female when Aphrodite is the DJ) and then adds it to the regular rotation.
     
    You'd think that'd be easy, but it seems there's a bit more to the music in the club than I expected (including what looks like a certain quicktime event when the song is playing).

    Hopefully it won't break too much, as I just wanted it to be a fun little addition to the game.

    I decided to work on creating all new random male random NPC's based on Emes/Usagi's AI generated resources, which he kindly shared with me.
    If you don't know who/what the "generated random male NPC's" are: they are the dudes you find in the bar and club, that flirt with/ spike you. They also include your co-workers at DynaPill, but check the "What is new" section.
     
    I felt they needed a freshening up, which is of course totally subjective and based on personal preference/ laziness. So the mod is entirely optional.
    The mod adds new images, descriptions and tags to all the dudes, Yes all 120 of them!. It should be compatible with every mod, unless of course it changes the same NPC's, like Office Babes (see What is new)
     
    What is new?
    I have renamed the mod to "Random Male NPC" cos it sounds better. If you already downloaded version 1.1, you don't need to update!
     
    I have also uploaded a compatibility version to work with DatDude's brand new mod Office Babes, which (will) add all kinds of fun stuff to the office environment. It is currently still in WIP stage, but do check it out! For both mods to play nice together, I have changed all the coworkers images and descriptions back to the base game originals. All other random males are still my new versions.
    Important: Pick only 1 version!
     
    But, what if I like a certain NPC?! Give me back my Bobby*!
    You can quite easily move the original NPC(s) you prefer back.:
    make sure you make a backup of the folder "[game folder]\img\npc\guys" BEFORE installing this mod. install this mod find and copy the image of Bobby* in the backup folder (i.e. [backup folder]\img\npc\guys\generated\millenial\chad\1.jpg) go to the game folder (i.e. [game folder]\img\npc\guys\generated\millenial\chad\) and paste your Bobby* re-run mod loader find Bobby* in game and tell him you missed him and you are sorry for changing him. optionally you can give him flowers and chocolate** done  
    The only "side-effect" will be that the descriptions may/will not match. If, for example, your Bobby* is blond and mine is ginger, your Bobby* will now be called a ginger. If this is totally unacceptable for you and makes you want to jump off the top of the DynaPill office, let me know and I will tell you how to change the descriptions***.

    Yeah, just me again with a tiny, totally unneeded modlet.
     
    Having played XCL for a while now, I got tired of seeing the "evil chipmunk" image of Stepdad. So I tried to create new images to make him resemble the stepdad version as seen in the "Chores Punishment" storyline videos.
     
    The guy in the videos is Charles Dera (the Man with 1000 Different Looks) and as said, I tried to make the new Stepdad at least resemble him. If you look at the new images through your eyelashes (or take off your glasses), they look exactly the same! *ahem*
     
    As always this is merely a cosmetic mod(let). It doesn't change anything about the game play. I just decided to share it for people who also got tired of seeing the "evil chipmunk" stepdad.
     
    Just to make sure: this mod does not change any videos with stepdad in the game. It merely included the images used for the right colomn.

    Old QuickTime Success Smash Bros Target Sound Effect

    VERY small mod.  Back in the days of XCL 0.16 and before, when you succeeded at a quick time event, the game would play a target breaking sound effect from Smash Bros which gradually got higher pitched as your combo went up.  At some point it was changed to the current Sound effect, which is less harsh and more pleasant to the ear, but doesn't have that intensity and crunch that the original sound effect did.  Since I kinda missed the old one, I decided to bring it back with this mod.  If you are happy with the current quicktime sound effect, don't bother with this mod.
    Installation:  DO NOT USE THE MOD LOADER.  Instead, just unzip the file "targets.zip" in your XCL folder.  Make sure that the aud folder you unzip merges with the regular aud folder.  If it worked it will ask you to replace 10 files, say yes, and you're done!  If you don't care for the new target break sound effect, do the same with the "basegamese.zip" to return to the stock sound effects you had before.

    This mod replaces the current Jia videos that show actresses other than Jia Lissa in the game. It does not add new unique videos, but instead duplicates the ones that are already in the game to take the place of the non-Jia vids.
     
    If you prefer variety of vids (especially cumshots or doggy style sex) and do not mind seeing other redheaded actresses, then you probably aren't the audience for this mod. If you care less about variety than you do making sure you only see Jia vids when playing as her, then you may prefer playing using this mod.
     
    Installation:
    Download the Jia Vids Only.zip file and place it inside the X-Change game folder. Add it with Mod-Loader and then click load mod.

    A mod that hides dick-pics, POV blowjobs, etc. Usually displays an empty space where the media used to be, or directs to an alternate media.
    Warning: There may be compatibility issues with other mods, this mod affects dozens of files.
     
    Installation
    Back up your "X-Change Life.html" file. Recommended steps: create a "backups" folder place "X-Change Life.html" in backups folder Rename the provided html file to "X-Change Life.html" and place it where the original file used to be. Warning: this will overwrite the original file if you skipped step 1.     As of X-Change Life version 19 this mod is part of the base game! I'm beyond happy to have my mod included in Aphrodite's game, but my work is not done!
     
    Future Plans! I will work on completing the expansions for Jia and Ella and then upload them as a new file called Curio's Outfit Expansion Vol. 2. I will update this page again when that is created in case you want to follow this page for information.
     
    After Jia and Ella, I plan on working on Jade and Scarlit, then get to Cassidy. At some point I may do another big Lana update as well. Be well and come hang out in the game's Discord if you want to keep a closer eye on this mod's development.

    This mod also adds well over 70 new outfits for both Lana and well over 130 for Liya, Rae, Mia, and Alina! In addition to new outfits, there are plenty of upgraded images for in-game ones! Jia and Ella also get dozens of new outfits and upgrades!
     
    Buying all of the new outfits will probably slow your wardrobe selection down at the least. Think of this as adding more variety to choose from, which could be very useful considering the new matching handbag mechanics as well as future mechanics that incentivize having a large wardrobe.

    Installation:
    Download the "Curio Expansion Mod.zip" file and place it inside the X-Change game folder.
    Add it with Mod-loader and then click load mods
    Note: if using this mod on a pre-existing save, it may take a full week of in-game time for the outfits to show up as available to purchase.
     
    Important Note: the STANDALONE download options install the same way the Curio Expansion Mod does. You do not need those if you install the main Curio Expansion Mod. They are only here in case you want to just download the outfits of a single girl.

    This mod adds and replaces existing images for anime style images for Lana, Stepsis, Secretary and some other characters. For Lana, replaced a bunch of outfits but not all.
     
    Use the mod loader to install the zip.
     
    I'm planning to add more, but we'll see if I get the time.

    Swaps a small number of game images for AI-enhanced versions.   Author: usagitriplesix   Important Disclaimer: This only replaces a small handful of images. This is not remotely a complete image replacer.   The short version: This replaces a few of the images in the game with AI generated versions.    This includes: Jade has a significant replacement set “Mia” has a significant replacement set Alexia has her intro, profile, and bathroom images replaced. Hollis has a pair of images “The Office” people at the office have less-celebrity-like versions for their main portraits Pharmacy guy has replacement images Mall cop is now a fusion of Paul Blart and the guy in the porn video (I split the difference) A few of the male player characters have replacements  
    Additional: I've also added a separate, beardless version of male Ella as an additional file, as it's the only player character so far where I've diverged from the original. (See the image sample)
     
      The story behind this: I had previously proposed that it might be possible to train a LoRA on the art from X-Change Life, making it possible to use Stable Diffusion to create images for free, rather than the dev needing to use a paid photo filter app.   After taking a little time to learn how AI training works, it turns out…that’s probably not the case. That said, it *can* produce some pretty images from time to time (and can *almost* act like a filter with a whole lot of ControlNet and effort).   I did have a lot of fun trying different experiments, many of which resulted in the images I used in this set. I decided to try making what I had into a mod, and figured other people might be interested in it, too, so I’m sharing here.   No idea how many more of these I’ll do, but I’ll try to update the file if I expand on the set.
