Charley's Story: Getting ready for more adventures
Hi folks, hope you've all had a good summer! I'm just winding up a round of playtesting on my Skyrim build and I'm starting to feel the itch to continue Charley's adventure. It'll still be a little bit before I can post new chapters because I need to reread where I was at to make sure I'm not forgetting key plot points. I'm also thinking that I might want to do some non-story articles recapping the key characters' backgrounds and plot threads. This won't just help me get my brain back in the story, but hopefully it'll be a good resource for new readers who don't necessarily want to read through the early books in order to understand and enjoy the newest material.
When we left off, Charley had just established a formal presence in Diamond City, somewhat to the dismay Mayor McDonough. She's also learned Brian Virgil's name and concluded that she needs to contact the Railroad. Charley was experiencing some friction with the growing assertiveness of the Cabinet within Concord's dominion, as well as warning signs that both the Institute and the Gunners are becoming more aggressive on her borders. At the same time, Concord's influence on the Commonwealth is starting to show itself in a cultural shift in the lands adjoining Concord, which while I'm sure it pleases Charley to see it's certainly not gone unnoticed by the people who hold power in those regions.
Stay tuned for more material soon, and in the meanwhile please feel free to let me know in the comments if there are any areas you are especially interested in seeing emphasis on, or any deficiencies or shortcomings with the previous chapters that you'd like to see improved on.
