DarkRose Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 i had this problem once too, for me it had something to do with the sound of the waterfall there, at this point is the edge of a new cell and the sound of the waterfall near then made the crash. i do not remember exactly what i had done to eliminate this. personal i use W.a.t.e.r. for water textures, Audio Overhaul (incl. a lot of water sounds), Climates of Tamriel and never had this problem again. maybe try out Audio Overhaul.
Ark of Truth Posted May 10, 2018 Author Posted May 10, 2018 I tried adding the mods you suggested but I still get the crash, though it does seem to take a bit longer for it to happen. Its very odd as this shouldn't really be happening. All the mods have been cleaned as well.
DarkRose Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 as i said i never remember how i fixed it, with this mods i use now i never had this crash again, just a little stutter at this point. if i remember what i had done i let you know, cause how i install now is based on how i fixed such issues and it was a long way till now, so i forget things, cause of the fixes i tried out and which i now install without thinking about what they fix.
Ark of Truth Posted May 10, 2018 Author Posted May 10, 2018 I've moved MO and Skyrim back onto another drive away from my Steam Drive. Checking to see if its a mod issue or maybe a fault on the drive. I've had something like that before which annoyed the crap out of me.

Throw in the mix of a dragon attack and weather mods it can be a nightmare. Much like Windhelm docks same issue it has much to do with the cell not so much as mods it does it on a vanilla game on console game as well. As for freezing on menu that sounds like conflict of what I am not sure I myself am not a fan of patches and do not use them including the USLEP ....patch overwrite things and it has been my experience overwriting things cause issues down the road..... But that is just my opinion.

I managed to narrow it down to Sexlab plugins and then even further to taraUltimateFurniturePack which places a building on top the waterfall near Riverwood. Removing that mod seems to allow me to run from Helgen to Riverwood and back again. Will do it a couple more times to make sure but it seems you were right about the waterfall being the issue or indirectly part of the issue.

That area puts a lot of stress on resources. Removing, e.g. the furniture pack just lessens the stress on your resources. It does not make the furniture pack the guilty party. Try changing the Hi Res packs for something less demanding. Do you use ENBoost? Have you used STEP or one of the other guides to optimise your installation?

Ark of Truth Posted May 10, 2018 Author Posted May 10, 2018 I tweaked around a bit with the left pane of MO and placed all the large files (Anything above 100mb) at the top with the largest first. That seems to have done some good.
GrimReaper Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Pretty sure you don't need Realistic Ragdolls and Force when you have XPMSE installed. You're using an older version of More Nasty Critters, the new version doesn't have the NudeCreatures plugins anymore. Hentai Creatures was the cause of some problems for me recently I think, so it's best to keep it around only in a save where you don't actively play the game. Are you using the Memory Patch for SKSE and Crash Fixes? Highly recommended, because Crash fixes has a logging ability that gives you an error code for each crash. Not very helpful in itself unless you are a code wizard, but if it is the very same error code for each crash you know that it's something very specific that causes your crash. Also I don't see a bashed patch in your load order, which is pretty important for solving issues with leveled lists.
oldrayzor Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 FYI - I recently switched from the HIGH Res Texture pack from Bethesda to Optimized Vanilla Textures and it especially improved performance in open cells around Riverwood.
Sladen2019 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Mod Organizers left pane needs to follow a similar load order to your right pane regardless of file size.. Loot sorts the right pane well enough but you need to adjust the stuff in the left manually. You should consider removing the Bethesda HI Res Texture Packs and use Optimized Vanilla Textures or NobleSkyrimMod HD-2K or an alternate texture pack instead. They are pre optimized. You are using UFO for managing Followers. Out of the big three, UFO AFT EFF, its the oldest and least well regarded. EFF is the most overall preferred one to use these days. You are using both Soulgem Oven and Beeing Female. Unless you really know what you are doing, its best to use only one pregnancy mod. Beeing Females intent is very good and all but its really spammy on Papyrus. Consider sticking to only Soulgem Oven or using Fertility Mode. You are using many script heavy mods. I highly suggest changing the following settings in Skyrim.ini to what I list. Make sure to edit the correct ini for your character. [Papyrus] fUpdateBudgetMS=1.8 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.8 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=2000.0 You should be using Crash Fixes. It requires SKSE Plugin Preloader. Install both of them manually. In CrashFixPlugin.ini make sure to set UseOSAllocators=1. Its the biggest improvement. If you use SSME/SafetyLoad, get rid of them.
DarkRose Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 i have DDa, DDi, ZAP running without a problem, they have nothing to do with your problem, too not T.aras furniture pack had it running before switching to ZAP 8+ without problems. changing to other texture pack/s instead of the original Beth crap is too a very good idea. it seems too be part of the crash problem. it was one of the first things i switched in the time i had a lot of crashes like yours.
SleepyJim Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Riverwood, and the areas around Whiterun, are pretty high on VRAM usage. I was having a lot of crashes in those areas myself and eventually fixed it by removing some mods or re-textures completely, and replacing others with lighter/better optimised versions. Fair skin textures turned out to be the main culprit in my case, although it's not to blame itself; it was simply the straw that broke the camel's back.
