Spoiler Creature Framework Troubleshooting: note1: don't use alt player werewolf form mods (Eg: the Player Hermaphrodite Werewolf patch) if you are playing as a vampire lord or using a creature transformation mod, due to how those mods work it will prevent CF from working on your non-werewolf creature form. CF will see you as still wearing the custom werewolf body mesh but as a different race, therefor seeing you as a unregistered race/armor combo. note2: if using SkyrimVR DO NOT USE JCon v4.1.13 only use the older v4.1.2 file. Aroused mesh not getting/staying applied during animations (a list of things to try): A. go to the Creature Framework MCM and click on "Re-register all mods", then unpause the game and Wait a Minute. B. go to the Creature Framework MCM and click on "Clear Creatures" C. go to SexLab's MCM and turn off "Automatic Free Camera" (don't know why but freecam may stop meshes from getting refreshed, especially the player's werewolf form) D. go to the Creature Framework MCM and disable "SexLab Aroused integration" E. try clicking on the uninstall button in CF's MCM, then save & quit and reload the save. (wait for Creature Framework to reinstall and register) F. click on the uninstall button in CF's MCM, then save & quit, then use a save editor to remove all of Creature Framework's scripts & forms from your save file. NOTE: you may need to save & quit again after installing to get it's MCM menu to load. also adding this to the Skyrim.ini (My Documents\My Games\Skyrim) may help CF work a bit better: [General] bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1 Creature Framework not registering mods / is empty / stuck in a registering loop: try reinstalling JContainers or installing a older version of it. ( Warning: pay attention to what version of Skyrim.exe you have. ) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16495 or https://github.com/ryobg/JContainers/releases There was a problem if you had any Mods from CrapClub (Creation Club) installed, but that bug should be fixed in newer versions of JContainers: the problem was you had to remove them (or any other esl based mods) before you could register/reregister Creature Framework based mods into Creature Framework. Silver437 Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Hey there. I have a bit of a unique problem and Creature Framework is at the center of it. My creature framework mod config menu does not initialize. After reading, it appears it's an issue with JContainers. Solution seems to be "update JContainers" However, I am using 1.5.97 game version and JContainers (as far as I know) no longer supports that game version (even though many people use it.) The mod config menu bug is very inconsistent... some new games it appears, however the last 5 new games I started it initialized blank. So.... what do?

safado Posted August 22 Posted August 22 (edited) Protect Skyrim SE From Updates from STEAM community; Quote For all versions of Skyrim (SE/AE). Yes you should still protect your game in 2023. There are steps to modding, this should be your first. Take advantage of the tools Steam gives us by following these simple steps which will allow you to play Skyrim uninterrupted. Then, after mod authors update their mods you can choose to update your existing load order if that's what you want. You'll also have backups just in case of the incase. This is such a simple process. I'm putting this out there in one more form in hopes a few more will protect their game from updates. I've Never had a forced update in 4 years. Help others find this guide Standard steps... Spoiler “What we find in books is like the fire in our hearths. We fetch it from our neighbors, we kindle it at home, we communicate it to others, and it becomes the property of all.” ~Voltaire The issue Modding, modding never changes Don't Blame Bethesda or Steam - Take Control of your game! We constantly see users in the forums and in the Nexus comment sections shouting at Bethesda for updating Skyrim Special Edition and ruining their modded game that took them weeks or even months to get just right. Why? Because they didn't take the responsibility of protecting their modded game from updates. The Issue Updates to Skyrim SE temporarily break the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64) until SKSE is updated. Then, once SKSE64 is updated we have to wait for mods in our load order that rely on SKSE64 to update as well. This process can take days, weeks, months, and some mods may never update. This has been the case since SKSE first came out several years ago. However there are users who to this day are still playing on their same load order, interruption free since last year, some even from 2019, some wait until the mods are all updated and then replace them in their load orders. Many play uninterrupted and then eventually start a new load order from scratch after SKSE updated and with updated versions of the mods they want to include in their load orders. But they all have one thing in common, they all performed simple preventative maintenance on their games in order to protected their game from updates until they were ready. This guide will walk you through the steps they took in order to protect their games from updating until they were ready to address it so that in the mean time they could continue to play uninterrupted. The Solution Protect your load order The Method You'll of course need to have the Script extender (SKSE64) installed on your game. Change Skyrim SE's update settings in your Steam Library to only update when launched. Then - Never launch Skyrim SE via Steam , only launch via the skse64_loader and only while Steam is running in the background. 1. From your Steam Library Go to: Skyrim Special Edition / right click / Properties / Updates Under Automatic Updates use the dropdown & select "Only update this game when I launch it" 2. Going forward ONLY Launch Skyrim SE from your skse64_ launcher.exe And make sure you are signed into Steam (Steam must be running in the background) You can make a shortcut in your mod manager's Dashboard under "Tools" & launch from there and it is important that Steam is running in the background! For those that are not familiar with modding you need to have the Script Extender (SKSE64) installed or all of this means nothing. You need to protect your game and then ALWAYS launch your game from SKSE64. IF you are not sure how to install SKSE64 Vortex makes it simple. Just watch this video. Also: As a precaution occasionally check your game from your Steam Library and make sure Steam did not revert your setting "Only update this game when I launch it" Make sure it has not changed. Here's a video by Michael of GamerPoets if you're not sure how to perform the above steps https://youtu.be/3gAiLABNoIA Don't forget to backup your executables and your Data folder. We'll walk you through that process later in the guide. *See an alternate method in the next section (some use a combination of both) Also Do This Appmanifest This is another method that many are much more comfortable with and has been used for some time now. APP Manifest Steps.... Spoiler Guide: How to permanently stop Skyrim from updating. :: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition General Discussions Guide: How to permanently stop Skyrim from updating. It seems many people aren't aware of this method. So I'll be explaining how to permanently stop Skyrim from updating. However it's worth noting that you should only consider using this method if you launch the game via skse64_loader.exe and not through the Steam launcher. Step 1 - Find your steamapps folder: Generally on Windows it will be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps Or if it's not on your C Drive then check whatever drive you have Steam installed to. Step 2 - Find the appmanifest_489830.acf file within your steamapps folder: Inside your steamapps folder you'll see multiple different appmanifest files. The one you're looking for is 489830 which is the app ID for Skyrim. Step 3 - Make the appmanifest_489830.acf file Read-only: Right click your appmanifest_489830.acf file and select Properties. Then click the checkbox for Read-only down towards the bottom so that it becomes marked and hit Apply. Final statements: Once you've followed all the steps above Steam will be unable to update Skyrim ever again. However, you will be unable to launch Skyrim through the Steam launcher anymore. Since trying to launch it via the Steam launcher will cause it to attempt an update and display an error due to being unable to update. If you ever want to make it so Steam can update Skyrim again for some reason simply just uncheck the Read-only box mentioned above and hit Apply. Edited August 22 by safado 3

ABC will need to have body meshes deleted from some nifs, and many nifs also need to be renamed before everything will work as intended (also delete the esp/s, they are completely unnecessary) ASOS is likely completely fucked now since it was already outdated to begin with. give up on "Bestial Essence", that mod was horribly setup from the start and the patch never worked right to begin with. (but the missing/forgotten keywords also did not help things). the BD Immersive Creatures patch is also a mess, but that's more of a IC issue then it is a MNC version issue, (the LE & SE versions of the IC mod are not the same, so that makes working on it super annoying) 1
