Am wondering if there is any chance of getting the new version working on SE as well.

It would take the same work: editing and recompiling a script. Assuming the plugin isn't terribly important, given it won't work in SSE. But it probably is.

Can I start updating my Se again? Just finish download :)

If you don't need Go to bed, Outfit System, or Poser Hotkeys, and if you don't have any other SKSE-based mods not on my list that still haven't updated.

Not unless the LE SKSE plugin works under SE.

Ā

I might make an SE plugin and have a go at porting this myself in a few weeks, but for now working on another mod.

Ā

I suppose you could write a Papyrus replacement for the C++, based on the old Papyrus code the plugin replaced, but it would be ... slow.

Ā

Disable the SKSE runtime check.

OK... That's not really my problem. My problem is making a new solution that builds under my dev environment. It was non trivial to get LE to build under 2017, then MS patched VS, screwed up all the Win SDK contents, and I had to start over. I'm not expecting an SE build to just ... happen.

Has anyone convertedĀ https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16311Ā for SSE? Looks easy enough and I'm gonna do it, but wanted to check just in case if someone has done it and it's working as intended. Wanted to pair it with Defeat, since with Defeat my PC gets killed pretty reliably no matter what settings I choose.

I know how to port mods, but this one does not look easy since it is dependent on SKSE.Ā  You'd need to make it compatible with SKSE 64 and I don't know how to do that.

SKSE64 is essentially the same as SKSE. The interface is at the Papyrus level. If it works for the one - it should work for the other.

Ā

The effectively impossible mods to convert are those having their own 32 bit DLL extension. This one does not.

Does anyone knows if hydrogen is planning to update HDT Framework adn HDT Physics for SE 1.5.80? She sometimes waits for another version of SSE to come up.

I don't know about that mod. But Defeat can make your PC essential true, IIRC. And when I disable 'Player as victim' I use

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19234, FWIW.

There are still many ways to dieĀ with Defeat even if using Essential option. That's my main problem with Defeat. Other features I have no problems with. Right now I started testing Defeat with Mark of Arkay which is very similar to SM Essential but is already on SSE and no porting needed.Ā
