FNIS = Weird armour clipping

I know this is something to do with the skeleton but i can't figure it out.

Any clothing or armour i have on and i crouch or kill someone with armour or clothing on, clips really badly and just looks pretty weird.

FYI i am running MO, latest FNIS and XP32 Max skeleton extended

Hmm, well XP32 Max skeleton extended?

Are you sure you have XPMSE by "Grootama" or is it the one by XP32?

Sometimes people get those mixed up especially when they come back after Groovtama did HDT extensions on the XPMSE version.

Its worth double checking just to be sure.

although its note worthy that most Outfits these days come in HDT and it would seem that Non-HDT is falling off some.

Wrong skeleton in this case would cause stutter and crashing.

It could just be that the outfits were not made really well for the slider your using, and that does happen.

Another thing that is a major cause of clipping is weight painting, although bear in mind that some people have extreme sensitivity to "clipping" and will jump all over an author even though his work is quantifiably better than say the weight painting in Tripple A titles such as Witcher 3, which in my opinion had horrible weight painting cause the outfits always had clipping....Still they did a far sight better than a lot of authors.

So suggestions,

If using Bodyslide,

Does it happen with a different preset, less extreme body dimensions,

If so,

How about trying out another armor set, there are quite a few vanilla replacers now to pick from.

There are literally thousands of armor slider sets around the web so its not hard to find other armors to use.

Also check your Skeleton, make sure you didn't accidentally overwrite it with the numorous mods that for some reason have a skeleton in them.

Simply reinstall XPMSE by Grootama, there you go.

If your not using Bodyslide CBBE/UUNP slider sets,

Well you still have a lot of choices for armors, there are numerous non-Bodyslide UNP, UNPB, 7B and so on for Vannilla Armors.

FNIS only creates new behavior files based on your installed animations, should have nothing to do with clipping from armor.

Some custom animations use a greater range of movement than the vanilla animations and an outfit that is skinned perfectly for normal use, willl suddenly start clipping. Sometimes it is not so much an extreme range of movement, but a combination of of movements that causes this (idles with closely fitted armor items are a big offender here). It really isn't viable to suggest that a mod author will have  tested every custom animation when weight painting their work.

True, but i'd also really appretiate it if they'd leave a little more space between armor and body. Ofc it depends on armor and animation, but with some few clothes i have i get clippings because of my not really that exaggerated hips swinging when walking...

that can't happen...

compare right arm to left arm

that animation shrink the arm

clipping?

it shrink the clothe the same way it shrink the arm, there can't be clipping

that clipping isn't because the dress is too close to the body

it's because the weights are no good...

if you copy paste weights on that, and jump in game, thing near the arms stick to the torso

because it got weights from bone spine2, boob, shoulder... because the arms are too close to the body

something many don't bother with when they convert an oufit, weights

if it clip in game, they just make the outfit bigger near that area, and that's it

i bet if op had bother posting a screen, we would see boobs and butt that don't follow the body, because he forgot to install hdt

oh. I guess I need to spend more time learning it. I tend to get frustrated after a while, especially with things like spaghetti straps, and just say to myself "meh it will do. It only clips in those few frames of that one idle".  I guess it would be easier to get a better result if I added extra resolution to the mesh in problem areas? That would give more verticies to weight? Is that how it works?

Clipping has nothing to with animations other than the animations causing the conditions for clipping to occur. Clipping occurs when the outfit mesh and body mesh either weighted or sized differently.

More vertices equals more granularity in weighting, it has nothing to do with the weighting values themselves. If you're getting clipping, the body and clothes don't match shape, size or weights, period. It's that simple.

Its not simple clipping, it's when a characters pose changes, like if a female npc dies, they are horribly deformed until they are stripped naked then their body returns to normal.

Also, i am definitely using XP32 Max Skeleton Extended with HDT Physics.

I will try building the clothes again in bodyslide.

Its something to do with either BBP or Remodeled Armor for UUNP BodySlide HDT When i crouch, the boobage goes mental and hollows out to the PCs back and the butt gets completely flattened.

When i take clothes off, its fine.

If i uninstall Remodeled Armor for UUNP BodySlide HDT, then the nude body deforms when crouching and clothing is fine... grrrr
