Y'know, thanks for sending this, because it gives me a great reference for all the files I need to replace for custom character mods. I didn't have all of them when making the nude mod, so there are some errors. I might go back to it and fix it up.

 

It really sucks that I can't use GitHub for nsfw mods because it really helps with organization for me. I had a HUGE mess of files when making the nude mods for b/w/b2/w2, but I've significantly streamlined my projects thanks to using it.

I think for one of them, all that got changed was the Rattata sprite, so maybe it did work and you didn't realize.

I tried to find the authors for all of these, but some of them were either deleted in their first appearance or lost to time. If I couldn't find the author, I attributed to unknown.

A bit of advice for dealing with the ducumon website: whenever you click on a link, immediately close it, and then open it up again. Repeat that until you think it's sending you to the right place. Ducumon has a habit of sending you to the wrong places.

Once I make enough progress on the dialogue mod like up until getting the first Gym Badge is when I would release the first version of the mod for each game.

Yes, each game. Since no one else seems to have done it yet (aside for Sword/Shield), I am planning on doing dialogue edits for each generation as I can.

Although I'm less likely to do it for Gen 4 and 5 because I have yet to grasp how to mod/hack DS games, the decomp project for Gen 4 have files formatted in a way that still require fanmade tools to edit them, and that's likely going to be the same case for Gen 5 if it ever gets decompiled. Also Gen 9 lacks any nude mods so less motivation there.

 

I like to have each generation have its own little narrative of why the player character is naked.

For example, what I demonstrated with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald is that, because you start the game by moving in to your new house, May was forced to sell away her clothes by her mother so they can move to Hoenn and she would have to get used to her new life as a nudist.

I know it's silly, but then again, so would be streaking across an entire region.

 

Another example is that aforementioned dialogue mod for Sword/Shield implies that Gloria has always been a nudist since she was born, with an aversion for wearing clothes. Though one could suspect she's more of an exhibitionist than a naturist since, because Gym battles in this game take place in large stadiums that get broadcast live on national television and online, she lets herself be seen by a huge crowd so she must be having the best time of her life.

Seriously, Sw/Sh has a great scenario for exhibitionist protagonists and that mod does reflect this as NPCs would recognise you as that "Nudist Gym Challenger".

 

I've also did some work already for Gen 1 and Gen 2, and I should also mention that I do nude edits for sprites in these early games as well including for Gen 3.

 

 

I do have interest in doing nude mods and NPC reactions for both genders of the player character.

The newer games from Gen 6 even have this text formatting function that allows me to change text on the same line depending on your character's gender so NPCs could even react differently if you're a boy or a girl without having to make a separate version of the mod, which I would have to for the earlier games.

There's no patch available for the Game Boy games yet as I'm still working on them.

Here's the dialogue mod for Sword/Shield, and honestly what inspired me to do dialogue mods for other games:

The mod was originally created by a user named vlondo few years ago but it only covered up until the Grass Gym in Turffield. However, it was updated fairly recently by another person going by Scoringbunny that extends the mod to Hammerlocke and even the beginning of The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra DLCs.

Both genders are also supported even though only nude female mods exist currently.

 

I might be exaggerating that Gloria was a nudist since birth but I've gotten the impression she is averse to wearing clothes and consequently known to be a nudist in her hometown.

 

 

The mod is also going with the narrative that public indecency laws were coincidentally repealed to explain why she's allowed to be naked everywhere.

If you really must know where it's from, I don't think I'm allowed to link it due to the site's lolicon and shotacon content, but it's from a "Pokemon Sword/Shield - Female Nude Mod" thread on AllTheFallen. You'll need an account to access the forum.

 

I should note that the mod was made to complement another nude female mod from that same aforementioned site that replaced other clothes and not the default outfit that your character starts with. If anyone wishes to start the game with this dialogue mod and wants to use my fixed version of "naked-girl" that hides/replace the default clothing, I suggest you don't use my mod at the very start until you get your bag because Hop and your mother will point out that you're apparently dressed as it was meant to get around the quirk of the other nude mod not changing the starting outfit.

 

 

Here's an extra, the person who updated the dialogue mod also made a blushing mod for Gloria. Since it only affects her face texture, you can use any nude mod with it:

Ok, so I’ve done an actual full character mod for B2W2 now, and I know what I’m getting into. I’m gonna finish the Rosa nude mod, and add some custom dialogue once I beat W2 for myself. Now, how are we thinking Rosa becomes a nudist?

 

Spur of the moment? (Like in the X/Y dialogue)

For a long time? (Like in the Sw/Sh dialogue)

Enforcement laws?

Idk, but I need a method. If nothing else, I’ll probably do a spur of the moment.

I've spent some time editing the dialogue for Legends: Arceus even though there's no full nude mod for the game yet.

Since this game starts off with your character being warped back in time and NPCs comment on how strange your modern outfit looks when you first visit the town, this can make for a great scenario where none of your clothes warped with you so you'd be stranded naked in Hisui and consequently, people will think you're a strange nudist outsider instead.

 

However, I'm having trouble with the game reusing the first line from a dialogue script regardless of who's saying it once I modified that script with pkNX.

For example, the very first line of dialogue in the game is "Welcome to my realm, located beyond both time and space."

This line gets reused for all messages forward if it's from the same script file. Maybe it's bad exporting from the current version of pkNX or something.

 

Regardless, I'm interested in editing the dialogue for the game until your character passes their trial and receives their uniform which would be a good finishing point for the first version of my dialogue mod for L:A.

Come to think of it, this version could also perfectly suit a lite version of a hypothetical nude mod that only replaces the modern clothes models, for those who want to start their journey with some fun nudity (due to a quirk with the timewarping) but not all the way once they finally found something to wear.

I love that kind of scenario and it would make for a unique narrative, but that would imply the protagonist did something wrong (or at least accused of) to receive such a humiliating punishment. Or why else would the protagonist be required to be a nudist for?

Otherwise, you can just do spur of the moment as if Rosa goes nude for the thrill of it.

Could have it as canon that in that region of the world all prospective trainers clothes are taken from them at a young age and they must go on a journey to gain 8 badges by defeating 8 pervert gym leaders to regain their honour. 1 victory/badge restores 1 piece of clothing. However, by the time she defeats them all she realises that being naked is liberating and she challenges the elite 4 in the nude to show her self confidence and growth. At the beginning you could make it that she's really self conscious about being nude and ashamed of it. But by the end she embraces it and learns to love it.

Come to think of it, this version could also perfectly suit a lite version of a hypothetical nude mod that only replaces the modern clothes models, for those who want to start their journey with some fun nudity (due to a quirk with the timewarping) but not all the way once they finally found something to wear.

 

Enforcement laws as in mandated/forced nudity?

I love that kind of scenario and it would make for a unique narrative, but that would imply the protagonist did something wrong (or at least accused of) to receive such a humiliating punishment. Or why else would the protagonist be required to be a nudist for?

Otherwise, you can just do spur of the moment as if Rosa goes nude for the thrill of it.

I just prefer the scenario that the MC is apparently naked in places where they shouldn't be.

Despite that, we could pretend that any region is clothing-optional since no one's going to enforce you to wear clothes anyway.

Regardless, I am willing to include supportive comments of the protagonist's nudity as that adds to the variety of how other characters would react, and I like variety.
