hey trykz i need a little help, im using the dovateens race but theres seems to be a problem with the hands, their alot darker then the body and it stands out because the discolouration isnt minor :P

 

any idea what went wrong?

For the demoness and daedric elf races can you replace the tail with the tail from the succubus race mod or something? I just personally find the kajeit tail weird on a human like body. Also what is the armor the deadra is wearing in the picture? one last thing, i get CTD whenever i go over stygian when i race change.

All the ESP does is add the Vampire keyword to the race. It will work for vanilla OR Dawnguard play.

No. At over 6500 downloads between them, I'm not going to rebuild 2 mods for a tail that a handful of players don't prefer. Especially with an asset I don't have permission to use from another author's mod. For the CTD issue, try re-positioning it in your load order. Check the first few posts in this thread for load order recommendations.

I've seen this before, but it doesn't happen to everyone. Not sure what causes it, but I suspect it's a conflict issue. As I said in an earlier post, the mod is 100% standalone. It uses minimal vanilla customization assets (hair, eyes, brows, makeup), but CAN use alternative body/head textures as long as they're placed in the right location. The texture path is as follows:

 

Data\textures\actors\character\TeenBody

 

Just add that folder path to your Data folder, and drop whatever CBBE based textures you prefer into it. It will work in the same way any other replacer folder works with vanilla BSAs :)

nevermind i found the conflict, it seemed to be with the children of the sky mod. after i reinstalled that the problem vanished

Thank you so much for all of these amazing works Trykz! <3 Moonshadow Elves are my favorites! :)

 

Quick question for you...I would like to use the UNP body model for my elves, as armors don't always transition smoothly from one body type to the other, and everything i have is UNP right now. I saw in an above post for textures, a path to replace would be Data/textures/actors/character/(insert custom race name here). Does that work for meshes as well, replacing textures with meshes of course...and also, what name would be used for the Moonshadow Elves? No worries If I am being too confusing, or you'd rather not answer. Either way, I am loving them! :)

Yes. You can use replacer meshes as well.

 

But it's a bit more complicated than just adding a replacer folder to hold the meshes. They also need to be named correctly. Give me a few days to sort some other stuff I'm working on, and I'll get you the right folder paths and naming scheme I used when I built the mod. I'll definitely get to it before the weekend.

 

But honestly, I'd hold off a bit before trying to modify any of the mods I've released. I'm just waiting for final release versions of the TBBP body for CBBE and UNPB, and then I'll be repacking all of my mods with both bodies. I have a few things left to touch up on the Yaksha revamp I'm doing, and it will be the very first mod I release in this new format, with my previous mods following shortly afterword as I repack them. They will require their own skeletons which means I need to reopen each one in the CK, add it, and then repack it twice (once for each body type).

 

One last thing:

 

business has me quite busy here in Florida at the moment. So my time is quite limited, and I'm squeezing in a few minutes here and there as often as I can, but it's still going to take a bit to get them all done. At least until things slow down a bit here.

No worries at all Trykz. I am playing on a Bosmer playthrough right now, and I can definitely be patient...as i alternate between that and modding homes as well. :) Thank you very much for that heads up, and if you're going to be doing a bunch of swapping about anyways, it's something I can definitely wait on. I can throw in a few CBBE outfits to satisfy the little elfling if I decide to start her beforehand! <3

I'll need a couple days though. My trip to Florida has turned into a permanent relocation, and since I dropped my ISP in New York, I need to re-up my images..... as soon as I remember where I stored them on my comp LOL

Hey someone uploaded a Moonshadow Race on Nexus. I am staying with Trykz' version!

 

Saw it, and thank you for the compliment ;)

 

That guys mod is a rip of the Yaksha race mod, to which he added nume's ears, and then repacked into a BSA. I hope he asked for eblisshaitan's permission to use those assets. I pulled it apart in BSAOpt, but didn't load it into the CK. So I don't know if he fixed the mounted combat or Dawnguard compatibility.

 

I'm currently working on revamping the Yaksha race mod with eblisshaitan's permission, and I intend to use his original Yaksha assets. But I may cancel that if the assets can be freely used by anyone (not much point in a bunch of different race mods using the same asset files).

I managed to find about half of the pics from the first three posts. Sometime this week I'll set down and make some new ones to replace those I couldn't find, and get them up on page one.

 

The move is almost done, so I hope to be back in the swing of things within a few weeks with all of my gear set up and ready to start modding again :)

You are getting quite a collection of cool races to play Trykz, thanks so much. Hey, I was just wondering if you had any advice on setting up an alternate body. I usually don't have much problems figuring it out myself, by placing the appropriate files in the mods directory structure and making sure the file names match as well. Usually works, and since my game is loaded with UNPB mods, just thought I'd give it a go. I tried with the Frost elves, and ran into a problem though. Replaced the meshes and I had an appropriate file for each (only body/hands/feet). Then I replaced all but 1 texture file, and could not come up with a replacement for this tiny little 3kb file ufemaledetailmap.dds so I tried without replacing. Normally I don't get ctd's off an incorrect texture, but I'm not really sure that was the problem. No biggie, but thought I would see what your opinion was, if any. If no fix in sight, I have Alan's BBP pack of CBBE stuff as well. Thanks again, for bringing some great variety to Skyrim.

Too easy.

 

Just unpack the mod with BSAOpt, then replace the meshes. Then either run it unpacked, or repack it with the CK and you're done :)

 

On another note:

 

does anyone have a suggestion for a quality image hosting site that allows external linking to images, and has little or no issue with nude/semi-nude images? I found quite a few of the images that my old ISP removed after my move, and I'd like to at least get those back up ASAP.

Hey,Trykz, hope to get your files worked out soon!It's very frustrating when you have to refind your stuff...happens to me all the time..LOL!Anyway, after you finish doing your buckup and set up your files again, could i suggest an idea that in my opinion would be nice addition to your great collection of custom races(as long as you don't plan on focusing from now on, on more complex mods like Mjana's Playground and labyrinth that is)!Well, here goes...what would you think of making a custom anime looking race with presets and characteristics that would make it possible to create an adult looking anime/manga character.I know there is the custom Elin race at http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=8946 but this race lets you make only loli and lolish characters :( .What about a race then where you could make a character like those pics for example

 

 

 

 

The caracteristics needed for such a creation would be essentialy some of the following:

1)The eye shape (narrow and long considering the overall shape,with smaller pupils in adition to the standard bigger ones used for loli or lolish characters e.g.

 

and generally kind of lusty and sinister looking.

2)The mouth shape

3)The head to body proportions (not too big like the Elin custom race and not too small).

4)The used skeleton.They should be apearing as adults so they should have normal sized skeletons

5)The body textures (especially the nipples)

6)The hair, because, anime like looking characters do not have high resolution hair meshes but low ones, with simple shading and lighting (i think that another member here at LL, Endiness has made realy nice hair meshes that would fit for anime characters but unfortunatelly has withdrown all of his mods due to legal issues i think...) :-/ .

Now that i see my post/idea/proposition/wishfull thinking again...well...it seems maybe more complex and difficult to be achieved than i thought, but then again i am just a worthless mod user with no modding abilities at all (can't even use the creation kit properly :D )!I hope i didn't tire you much and sorry for any spelling/vocabulary/grammar or syntax errors,english is not my native langyage :P

I cannot see the images on the main page. Can someone kindly upload some screenshots for me?

 

I'm looking into getting my main modding rig shipped to me this week by priority shipping. By the time it arrives, my new ISP should have my web space set up, and I'll be able to re-upload them.

 

But yeah, some user screenshots would be great in the meantime :)

Open your SkyrimPref.ini file in My Documents/Skyrim and change

 

bFaceGenTexturing=1

 

to

 

bFaceGenTexturing=0

 

Only think I can think of it being.
