I have this mod for sse and i alrdy asked there last night havent gotten a response yet so i thought someone here might be able to help i have the visuals on and there so bad it renders the game unplayable and either the mcm is gone or there never was one is there a way that i can turn off the visuals like a console command or something anything will work i like this mod i dont want to uninstall it for somthing like this

 Yes, console commands are listed in this post.

 

There is no MCM for this mod unfortunately.

Updated the walkthrough post again: all the side quests and the main quest for Behind Bars are now there.

 

Still to come: walkthroughs for Forbidden Love, The Jarl's Wife, and Hunted/Hunted Mundus/Hunting Grounds. I will probably leave all the Hunted ones until last, as those are the ones I'm least familiar with, and I need to get a new character to werewolf status on a clean game for that. Hoping to get at least one of the other walkthroughs knocked out by the end of the weekend though.

So for the Blacksmith/Drunkard quest,

I gave Embry money for the house before convincing Sigrid to let Dorthe pursue smithing. I tried to pickpocket Embry for the note to warn Alvor immediately after giving the money, but the note didn't spawn in his inventory. Do I need to wait a certain amount of time afterwards in order for this to spawn, or is my game bugged? If it's any indication, the quest stage that asks you to help Embry get his life back together doesn't clear after money for the house is given to him.

Hmm, good question.

 

(edited:) Okay, I found the relevant bit of code for this. It looks like the thing that generates the note into Embry's inventory is Alvor saying he will go to Whiterun. I have updated that walkthrough.

I found a bug in this mod while running alternate start and maybe vanilla start.  After I go into the cave and save Hadvar/Rolof, I escort them to Riverwood and all of a sudden at the entrance they just take off and start sprinting back and forth through the town non stop at crazy speeds and the whole quest stops.  I figured I could get around this by just loading the mod after I complete that part, but what I am wondering if anyone knows if there are any other quests later on in the game that this mod affects as well?  I am planning to do a long run so I don't want to set up landmines if I can help it.

I just started a new game and install your mod. 

 

I didn't have high expectations. Maybe meh some random quest, go here fuck here...(instead of loot/kill this...). 

 

And well what an excellent surprise. The quests I have seen are really surprising. By far the best sexlab mod that is quest oriented. 

 

It blends so well with survival, devious follower and some other mods. 

 

I hope you will keep to add more quest.

I think in general if you're using an alternate start, it'll probably work best if you don't load up this mod until you have played your regular game a bit, instead of right at the beginning. There is nothing in it that needs to be there right from the start. With most of the quests you can start them any time you want, without them getting in the way of the rest of the game. There's a post on page 48 of this topic with basic walkthroughs of the quests in this mod (still missing three of them, coming soon) which will give you some idea of where each of them start.

Okay, The Jarl's Wife quest

keeps spawning my overleveled mod companions as hostile Mephala-influenced enemies and it's gotten to the point where I can't progress. I just finished asking Nelecar for a lead and he's pointed me to Rorikstead but I'm just mobbed to death the moment I leave the inn.

 

For my own sanity, does anyone know the quest stages for this quest, or the refID of the NPC I need to talk to next? I'm thinking I need to skip a bit ahead with console in order for my game to be playable ?

Oh lordy. This is the first time I've looked at the code for this quest and it's ... complicated. The attack scene itself seems to be a separate quest on its own, DI_Quest_Jarl_Attack. So if the fight with the multiple copies has already started, ending that quest in your console may be necessary first. Then the main quest is DI_Quest_Jarl and the stage I believe happens immediately after the Jarl_Attack script completes is 310, which should put you having won the fight and giving you a new objective to Talk to Jarl Balgruuf. Not sure if you'll get there automatically after ending Jarl_Attack or if you'll still need to jump ahead to it.

 

Try it at your own risk though because I am far from certain about this.

Ah, so I was actually able to get past the first attack and the "Talk to Jarl Balgruuf option".

I'm at the stage right after talking to the Jarl, where Balgruuf sends you off to look for a solution to Mephala's curse. I've just traveled to Winterhold and talked to Nelacar, who tells you that there's someone in Rorikstead with knowledge of the curse, so I'm looking for a way to either disable the recurring* Mephala's curse attacks or find the refID of the NPC at Rorikstead that I need to talk to for the next piece of info.

 

*unless it's not supposed to be recurring... let me try ending the DI_Quest_Jarl_Attack via console and see where that gets me.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried the option in Blacksmith/Drunkard to

lie to Alvor after discovering Embry's note, claiming that a pack of wolves threatens the path between Riverwood and Whiterun?

 

I successfully convinced him with that option

and Alvor agreed not to leave for Whiterun

, but the quest didn't seem to progress and I didn't pursue the issue any further, choosing to tell the truth instead. I'm wondering if there's anything else following the successful lie option or if the quest just stays unresolved.

Ah okay, try stage 330, "Find Metina near Ivarstead." So it looks like Ivarstead not Rorikstead. She's definitely the NPC you need, all her dialogue is about how to break the curse. Metina's baseID is 0300EA41 but I can't find a refID for her (I'm not in the game just now, this is just looking at code).

 Yeah, if Alvor never goes to Whiterun then the quest just kinda stops.

challenge her to a duel. She refuses at first, then talk to the jarl and he will help convince her. She will agree to duel you in the Great Porch. You don't actually have to do it immediately, she will be waiting for you there whenever you go there. You'll have to fight her for several minutes as a distraction so if you're not high enough level to do that without dying instantly, it'll help to be able to paralyze her or freeze her or something so you can just keep running around and healing yourself until the timer runs out.

hi, is anybody aware of any incompatibilities between this mod and Troubles of Heroine? im encountering an issue where after making a handful of saves (doesn't matter if they're auto, manual, or quick), i get a CTD after going through a load door and then the latest 3 or so saves get corrupted.

 

even if it's not ToH, are there any known incompatibilities with this mod?

nevermind, I found what i think is the issue. I think it was SexLab More Animations that was corrupting my saves. SL More Animations increases SL animation slots from 500 to 750 which is nice, but when I have more than 500 animations enabled, the game tends to get unstable and the saves made after going over the anim limit get corrupted, but saves before loading more than 500 anims seem to work fine. haven't had any CTD's so far with the original SexLab enabled although I haven't had the chance to test out all the scenarios that made the game CTD for me. the saves are no longer getting corrupted tho so that's a plus.

Are you in Dragonsreach and Balgruuf is there too? It might need them to both be there. I'll have a look later tonight and see if there are conditions that have to be met first.

Found it. The conditions for the dueling conversation option are you have received the "distract Irileth" quest objective, and it's between 9 am and noon in the game.
