Oversized Papyrus Log

I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to Papyrus logs, all I know is how to read them, but is my second log file (out of the 4 created by default) suposed to have 36 gigabytes?

 

If so, can I trim it down without compromising my save files?

In general, see which mods spam your log, and either fix their problems (install a patch or requirements their looking for or something), or get rid of them. But with a log that contains GB? Start a new game, with a couple of mods, then add carefully what you really want and check if it's one of the mad ones. I consider it bad when my log goes over some kB.

To answer your original question, you can delete the log files. The game creates a new one each time you start the game and renames the older ones.

You only want to enable papyrus logging when you are actively troubleshooting. Otherwise, it is best to leave it off.

OK, I've deleted it. If it happens again I will have to monitor which mode is doing that. Thank you guys for your answers.

If it is over 1mb then you likely have errors repeating, 36gb likely spells doom for your current game.

If it compress the file properly, it would probably fit in the 100MB limit per post. You may just get that file
